- With the launch of Warzone I was initially struggling to find the perfect method for dropping and parachuting onto the map so I decided to take a deep look into the mechanics to find the optimal techniques to ensure you'll be the first on the ground at your location every time, no matter where you decide to drop!

Zgag s0ur made a video about loot crate distribution and location - I recommend checking out his channel
loadouts can come anywhere between 130-200 meters from your teams location. your first loadout drop comes when the first circle is closing and has 13 seconds left, meaning the thing under the minimap is a 1 with a red circle around it, and it says 0:13. the second one comes in when you are in a stationary 5th circle, (5 with a white circle around it) and the time is 0:43.

Ultimately in that situation I would aim for the ground and pop my chute so when it open I can land at the roof.. especially with auto open you can make it think your aiming lower then when it open cut to a higher spot faster then letting it auto open on your intended target

If you don't open your parachute at all, when close to the ground it will automatically open, just spam the cancel button after because you will survive the fall without losing any health.

I tried this, and my guy shat himself instead.
I'm the guy who keeps getting the heli before everyone else. :P I fly IRL, so figuring out glide slopes helps. I drop at the closest point to my target. For majority of drops, I am only tapping parachute to reset my drop rate and horizontal speed, they kinda change over time, so I balance them to get to where I want to go without much parachute time.
Before I saw any tips vids just through playing the game I naturally fell into the cut/shoot/cut/shoot routine...I do like to drop late and far away from the flight path though so your start is generally chilled!
Same thing I almost always do. Furthest place away and just grab a vehicle when get few things and drive to where I want to be.

They could add the wingsuit, but add a animation delay when you're player takes it off when he lands. Making it mid realistic and balancing out the advantage you get from using it with the slight time delay

@@veryrealdrdog Really bad mechanics for playing with randoms, everyone just drops where they want and squad leader means shit. Apex got it right by having to manually press a button to break away from your squad, but that mechanics a bit too unrealistic for a COD game. Playing with randoms is ten times worse in Warzone than it is in Apex - so glad solos is out.

I gotta thank you again ace... your aiming drill has made me into a god damn beast. In black ops 4 I was a total turd and had maybe 10 wins in blackout. I’ve already had 10 wins in warzone and It’s honestly all thanks to your aim drill and your tips videos.

Some additional tips for distant drops:
- look at a 90 degree angle to the side of the plane to where you wanna drop
- jump out right when the tip of the planes wing hits your destination/ping
- open you parachute as soon as you can and cut it again since your speed when first dropping out of the plane is slower than when you cut the parachute (you do maintain your speed for longer when dropping out of the plane though)
- The optimal speed to distance ratio is achieved by cutting your parachute, free falling for 3 seconds, and opening it up again
- if the distance is greater than 1300m when you first drop, gliding sideways with your parachute after opening it allows you to travel greater distances with little to no loss in your velocity
I wish the whole squad could drop together like on Apex.
@TuGaz it's actually way better considering how sometimes you'll place a marker and you think your teams with you but it turns out they're no where near you

Just a tip for people who want to go quite far from the plane path: instead of gliding all the way to the destination, you’re probably better off droping straight down or doing the drop/pull method ontop of a vehicle, especially a heli, and then driving to that location.

MotoZ33 I agree to an extent. If you’re already knowing you’re going to land later, than yeah, stay up and check what’s going on. But most of the time it won’t matter if you know where they are, if they have already gotten guns and are waiting for you. To each their own, but more aggressive players should land first for sure.

MotoZ33 I hate it from a landing standpoint. Do enjoy when I get the warning, but overall should be removed, If one dude with a pistol can take on a squad that has already gotten guns, let him. Don’t give the position away. Without a UAV there’s no reason you SHOULD know, at least so early. Let the person land and if you hear it, you hear it. If not, should have been listening better. No different than you being told a squad is where you’re about to land.

same here but why though? whats the reason for dropping quick? getting early kills? i mostly drop far away from path and loot my butt off to get quick loadout drops. but ive only come 4th and 6th yet lol.

Don't forget you can toggle parachute settings in options menu so the chute will not automatically deploy, allowing a lower opening if you don't open your chute at all.
+ you can go to options and disable auto deploy parachute. In this way, your chute will opens up only when you press the button.
people who played just cause 3 know how to do this perfectly
Hey ace, just wondering, when you inevitably make a “top 10 loadouts for Warzone” do you think you could do them out of order, and just show 10 total. A lot of people just skip to top 1 and use that, makes gunfights really stale running into the same meta guns every fight.
He did do top guns for warzone, but for what I think is a good load out would be using cold blooded, ghost and spotter for perks, heart beat sensor and proxy mines for gadgets, and for your secondary use the JOKR/knife.
People don’t use guns because he makes his videos he makes his videos because people are using the guns

BleedingUranium in multiplayer I don’t use ghost so I mainly use more aggressive play style type perks like high alert and amped.
Quick fix so that every time I kill someone I full regen my health, high alert so that I can sense people trying to aim on me, then amped so I can switch weapons faster
I only run HDR because any ar except the scar is good for secondary, sometimes I buy two load out drops one for the guns and one for the perks
The Wingsuit from Blackout was great - and i found it much more realistic than having an infintie amount of parachutes. I had fun with both games and wish, they will include the blackout map to the warzone cycle - just to add some variety. The warzone map is better and i think the time to kill in Warzone is perfect for a COD BR game
One extra tip for PC users: Most people on PC use cheap office keyboards that are "2-key rollover" which means the keyboard only accepts two simultaneous keystrokes. I've died so many times while pushing up and side (to move diagonally), then when I hit the parachute button nothing happens and I splat. To counter this, I've trained myself to ALWAYS release all the keys a split second before hitting the parachute button, just to make sure that keypress doesn't get blocked out.

Turn off auto chute in settings for optimal dropping.

You should say you should use as few chutes as possible if you want to come down asap, also you can slingshot by cutting at the right time.
You also state you should land with the chute, but you can also cut the rope at a reasonable height (two-three character lengths)

since in warzone shooting makes you apear on the minimap

It keeps you off the minimap, but I believe you still show up on the compass. So they may know the direction your shooting from, just not the exact location. If I'm wrong, someone please let me know 🙂

I'm used to Pubg where you also use a parachute so I actually like this. Actually, I feel like the controls are smoother on this than pubg.
I thought my skills from previous Gen would carry over with me and I would be unstoppable.I was sadly mistaken and it’s extremely frustrating to get beat by people using a 4 sensitivity but clearly things have changed. I found myself learning this past week but only at the expense of a frustrating death.
I looked around for context and I tried too study up and it became clear after a while that I was really far behind.
Watching your stuff just helped a lot.

Ace is a god with the sniper
honestly they should limit the parchutes to 2. One standard parachute, and one emergency chute. you know, TO BE MORE REALISTIC
You can also disable the auto shoot deploy option altogether. Means you can rocket straight to the ground and never have to open it until JUST before you land. Also, you can nudge yourself forward in any direction just by adjusting your gaze at the horizon and then back down to earth. This avoids any unnecessary parachute opening. I am never beaten to the ground.

when you use the methot of recutting and opening your parachute: look at your speed scale. Open the parachute as close to 75 (meters per second). thats where you start falling down more than making distance.

8:51 It translates into way more than half a second on the ground. Because in that half a second with previously open parachute you would travel that distance (the distance you free fall in 0.5 seconds) way slower.
If you hit L1, L2, R1, R2, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, L1, L2, R1, R2, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, you get sent right back up into the air and get to try your sky fall again.

About the 2. method i want to say its often faster to just take a helicopter thats near the plane and when youve reached where you want to go you have a helicopter nearby

Also quite important is to deactivate the parachute auto deploy setting. This way you need to always open it by yourself, so you can always deploy it just before you hit the ground and safe some time
I've found that if you turn on auto deployand cut it as soon as it auto deploys you won't take fall damage. So this makes you land with your gun out and maybe already a shot or 2 in the guy
One thing to mention the auto deploy when you're about to splatter is actually a toggleable option so if it really grinds your gears then disable it

the reason why some players go all the way out is to start recon or search missions without having multiple players rushing at you like the much closer ones
If you want to be on the ground first, Jump out, look straight towards the ground, let the parachute auto open, as soon as it does, press B to cut your chute, You take way less fall damage in Warzone than you do in online and can fall from some pretty insane heights that would normally kill you. You can be the first on the ground almost all the time.
How to drop faster? Turn a corner a little too abruptly and ur all the way down to the desktop in no time! Anyone shooting or openning a box in your general vicinity helps too.

One strategy that I use is to drop at the closest chopper spawn get the chopper and then go to safe area collect the money call the loadout drop and just start picking off enemy..

A few tipps to dropping I have come across, if your close to the green zone, pull your chute one time in the air so it doesn't reopen automatically. This way you can open your chute later than normal reducing your total time in the air a bit.
Or alternatively, the automatic opening is triggerd by your distance to the ground, if you want to land on a building, aim in front of it so the total distance to the ground is measured to the actual ground not the building. With 1-2 story high buildings, like superstore, this leads to your chute basically opening shortly before the roof of the building letting you glide the last few meters forward and giving you a very short time with your chute open

Not addressed is parachuting down sideways. You can reach far corners of the map that allows you to get a lot of money before any enemy reaches your Op Area. I have done it to where the plane is traveling from Dam to Prison and I can reach Promenade or Anything along the mountain area. I miss out on a good 90 seconds but in my play, I don't go for kills, I go for money. Usually $500-750K
Traveling as far as possible in plunder is best option I have found have taken 2nd and 1st place 10plus times doing so and just looting.
Also find a gallon asap or buy one from buy station and send up money asap. Works best if you and team both buy balloons and alternate using them.
I was conviced that once you cut a parachute or generaly just fall , you stop going forward at some point and just go straight down....

Great video Ace. Also great advice from @Dougisraw. Put the monolithic suppressor on your load out weapons, you won't ping on the warzone hud map. Much less likely to get third partied

Sadly, thr best strategy is camp around the cash deposit locations. They need to do something about that. Otherwise plunder is great.

Another good way to catch speed but go far is to just do one pull and cut as soon as jump and one pull and cut 3/4 the way down
as far as the mechanics of this game and comparing it to others... well i actually love the falling mechanic on this game much more then many others such as Fortnite... Fortnite i feel like im not frozen... but delayed in time when free falling its much slower and well a flying bus just don't make sense. though its unrealistic that you can pull your chute within a few feet of touching down, i still like that mechanic too because it allows more stealth as i can fall fast to a hidden spot and quickly run to an enemy from behind before they have a chance to get away before they even know what hit them. also falling in directly behind someone at extremely fast speed and then knifing them from behind is awesome.

I personally open the chute somewhat close to the ground but I cut it before landing when I’m within the high no fall damage range so my weapon is ready faster and it 100% is the reason I’m able to kill squads when landing on roofs at the same time

Also, for most of the longer distances in the game I believe it is fastest to drop optimally to a vehicle and then ride the rest of way. So try to land on helicopters. :)
The best way to get to the opposite side of the map is to pick up a helicopter and fly there from the start. It’s the fastest way to get across the map at the start. Me and my brothers end up with four helicopters at the start of the game lol

Yes, this was great information. It was very easy to understand and you made it very clear and you did a good job relating it to actual gameplay. Thx again. Can you please make vids like this one about other parts of the game, for example. The ping system, using and reading the map (the info on the squares was great basic info that helps to know), how to judge distance for taking shot, etc....
Blackout definitely has the best drop method of any BR but for a more realistic type mode I think MWs is pretty good
