    Namaskara Sir.
    I would like to share one of the most memorable moment with Dr. Kota. It was in Nov 2010 the NALs 70 seater NTA / RTA program had started. I was in Goodrich as a Stress Engineer on Landing Gears. Representatives from Goodrich Canada had come to Bangalore to give an presentation on the Landing Gears and submit response to an RFI for RTA. We went to NAL and met a panel of members and Dr Kota was leading the panel. While working in ISRO, I had heard a lot about Dr Kota and he was known as " Father of LCA" and it was a delight to see him. Representatives from Goodrich Canada gave the presentation and during Q&As, Dr. Kota asked them why are you not considering to use Composites on Landing Gears instead of 300M Steel. To this question,the person from Canada replied that " 300M is Tried and Tested". Then Dr. Kota politely said that if everyone are so keen to stick with Tried and Tested methods, then everyone should marry a widow. There was absolute laughter every where and the representative didn't know what to say. Dr. Kota humoursly made a very important point that we should never hesitate to try new things and methods. Today after a decade of this incident, I see a lot of components of Landing Gears like Brackets, Brake Rods, Drag Braces etc being made using composites and complex parts like Transfer / Port Blocks being made using 3d printing technologies.
    Sir, my question to you is , After Composites, what Next ?.
    Thank you very much for these episodes on Tejas.

    Sir what efforts you and your team is putting into this series is extraordinary. In my childhood days I used to watch about F series (American) jets on TV and always wandered "will there be a time when someone will develop an indigenous jet and someone explaining thrills and challenges regarding it's developmental cycle to us" but now HAL team and your team has made it possible.
    And I also have a message for your sponsor SBI group, they should focus on improving service by maintaining their servers for online transactions so that customers can build confidence in bank and rather than advertising as they already have largest customer base in India.

    • @Renu007Kumar
      @Renu007Kumar 3 года назад

      This is an aircraft which is highly unstable and the fly by wire and flight systems work magic. Keeping the size of the aircraft and reduced RCS, canards are not used.

    Thank you for the wonderful episodes on Hamara Tejas and giving us an opportunity to know more about the incredible work our scientists and engineers are doing to protect our mother land.
    It is completely ok if I don't get a chance to meet Dr. Kota, but I will be incredibly happy if my question reaches him in any form. Perhaps you can ask him on my behalf.
    Many students and fans are comparing the Tejas with JF17, however, I want to understand if there are plans in future to imbibe "Stealth or Partial Stealth," features into Tejas, making it a strong competitor to Rafael and Chinese J20? I am aware that HAL AMCA is currently under development. But as the world is moving towards 4.5 and 5th Generation or perhaps 6th Generation aircrafts, what is Tejas' role in today's high technology warfare?
    It would be also great to know Dr. Kota sir's opinion on, what aspects make a good insanely stealthy aircraft like F-22?
    Thank you once again for doing these episodes. It's a true honor to see our scientists working hard to protect us common people.
