Lum's Beer Steamed Dawgs

Lum's Beer Steamed Hot Dogs. Lum's was a sort of Diner restaurant that had scattered locations across the U.S. The last Lum's closed it's doors for good in May of 2017. Although we visited only one time, I kept hearing about how good and unique their Beer Steamed Dawgs were, It was their signature menu item.So, after a diligent search, I found the original recipe and decided to give it a shot... Glad I did, too! They're everything they were cracked up to be. We used a great Craft Beer sauerkraut from Saverne. It immediately became my favorite. There's nothing like a Beer Steamed Dawg. We'll be making these over and over again!
