A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm Dean Wolfe, a mostly self-taught Canadian guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer/performer. I started out as a full time musician on the road at age 17 for two years, but went part-time ever since while holding day careers including as a chef and in spiritual health care while raising a family.
I've recorded hundreds of my own songs- many being used in media and award winning documentaries etc. I've been in several bands including a prog/jazz fusion act nFuze, performing in International Jazz festivals and jazz clubs. I abandoned the prog genre more or less back in the 1990s but have returned to it now with vigour a full 30 years later- so much prog I've ignored and quite frankly didn't have any idea about. My own prog band was rejected by record labels as "too progressive' in the late 80s, so i detoured into grunge, pop and alternative instead (then folk and acoustic fingerstyle guitar and ambient electric as well).

My favorite Theocracy song is Mirror of Souls.
It is a 22 Minute Epic Masterpiece.

That Band is Awesome!
Theocracy is fantastic. As are the few tracks from Matt Smith's side project named Project Aegis. Incredible lyrics, music, and melodies. This is such a great, heartfelt love song to what a tremendous gift music is to us. "12 words in a simple language..." A, A#, B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#
Do yourself a favour and invest the 22 minutes in to Mirror of Souls by Theocracy. It's a masterpiece.

I haven't heard one single bad song by Matt and Theocracy..Every album has one or two on the tamer side but they also have some real bangers..

The vocalist sounds a lot like The Styx vocalist. The music, I think is somewhat influenced by some of Neal Morse’s heavier stuff (Sola Scriptura). While I’m not particularly religious, I do like a little spiritualism in lyrics. As long as they are more allegorical and grounded in the human experience (Transatlantic’s The Whirlwind or Flying Color’s Open Up Your Eyes).
