As a Christian, I am hear to drop some info on this songs topic. It’s based off of Acts Chapter 17, verses 16 and on. It’s all about Paul in Athens telling them about their “alter to the unknown god” and he told them that it’s the God. He used that opportunity to tell them about Christ and stuff, basically. I personally love this song and I like that you’re reacting to it. Nice vid, man!
Furthermore this historical account shows us the difference between manmade religious institutionalism and faithful relationship with God in Christ. Paul KNEW God in Christ, while the Athenians had only appeased from a spiritual distance with the altar to a god they knew not.
Jesus loves you. ❤️ He is speaking to you through this band. These guys have scripture throughout their music. Give the Bible a read and give God a ring. Open your heart to Jesus while listening. Pray to Him and see what happens. I tear up often when listening to these guys because of the truth in their lyrics.
"I Am" deserves to be their number 1 song! You need to react to it... you just heard all the riffs and different tempos they did in 5 minutes.. i am is 12 minutes and is perfectly orchestrated!!
One of the best songs on "As the world bleeds" with an incredible solo with heavy rhythm guitar. The lyrics are actually historic when the Apostle Paul spoke to the Athenians about their alter built and entitled to the 'Unknown God" in the first century outlined in the bible in Acts 17:23-31
This is my first reaction I have watched from you. I enjoyed how you got into the music and all of your Jack Black-like animations. I hope you do more Theocracy. This is strong but frankly is an album track rather buried in the second half of the record. By the way, Matt Smith did a charity effort years back for the homeless with a bunch of his friends (mostly vocalists) and it is some of the best stuff he has written. It is called Project Aegis and I recommend Angel in the Ashes or Collide & Spark. My favorite two Theocracy songs are I Am and Resolution Day. Thanks for your reaction.

the best song from Theocracy is undoubtly Mirror Of Souls (you want to hear it) .... with lyrics, its a masterpiece. I dont believe in god and other imaginary friends, but that song is brilliant and second best Laying Demons To Rest ... thats a brutal song
