Definitely just looks like glitched out colors in the background layer. But there is a pattern to them - the glitched out bits look like the outlines of Galaxies. I think the original design of the skybox was meant to look a lot more Universal
guys come on... you are seeing things where they don't exist... It's just a glitch, It actually happens to me a lot, from those colors and also some crazy textures sometimes, it's just a matter of creating a new game.
You'd see a repeating pattern of stuff showing up improperly (like the tile of black, would be repeating everywhere, and would move, it wouldn't be stationary like this) I've had a GPU die before, and it lost the ability to render certain shapes properly, it was wild.
Looks a lot like a D3 map, but nothing I recognize and the outlines are odd. If you invert it, it becomes a river running around some land with pools in it. That's my two cents. GL in the rabbit hole.
There are a lot of Bugs Died at shenk right at the moment all those bombs came down and once i respawned i was invisible for me and everybody else in the game ..fixed with leaving the game I rushed ppl through hell and once we reached act 4 the whole map had trees and jungle from a3 on top of it but just on my Screen And Akt 1 darkwoods had half of the map missing and Black
Back in the day and I mean like 1.04 you could teleport way out of bounds in AS and walk there, it was just blacked out where the nothing path would be but I haven't been able to teleport back
thats interesting becasue i have not seen this and not even experianced it still in the game. its more likely its a glich from a driver out of date program from your side perhaps.
think its just video glitch. I had the same thing this morning. I've had these video glitches in River of flame as well. Also had it happen with items in game and on the character select screen. Wishful thinking, but no we arent getting lucky
This is definitely a glitch on your client. I just checked, for me it's just green/bluish clouds. However, now that I think about it, I have no idea if those clouds have always been there or not... I mean, who pays attention to map backgrounds?
I do know somewhere in the game files for diablo 2 classic they had a guild hall and many other things planned they might have ported over the old game slapped some paint on it and yeah still not optimal but yeah I'm not 100% what this is myself other then my above theory.

If i had to guess, i'd say the big thing on the right is a bugged display of a frozen and enlarged portal.
Looks like the map has tried to be terrorized but instead something else was chosen by the game.

It's just a glitch of the graphics. It happened to me before not in Arcane but on Act 1 field and Tower. Nothing special about it. I'm on PS5.

graphical glitch, have had this before where whatever program you have running behind is showing through
maybe decompile the d2r client and look for the bugged background layer image
