They should see how far clerks have to hurl that stuff when they sort it into hampers. At least twice as far and twice as hard. Make sure you pack your fragile items well.
I was about to say the same lol then clerks have to throw far
I’m a truck driver at the post office. And I think it had a lot to do with harassment from management. They pick the workers so much people are just snapping. Nothing is done when you make complaints. They tell them who reported them and harass them even more.
I used to work at a printing company for the past 18 yrs....left when I had my exboss call me up for another shop's opening.....my ex had favoritism over my other collegues and I WAS warned about him......
this may or may not be funny but as a new postal worker, there was an area of forms and all the forms for abusive management complaints were empty lol
With that amount of package I recommend the owner to stop been lazy I take your packages to the post office.
if i were them i would go some were else to have my package deliverd by ups
This is standard operating procedure at the post office. Priceless.
It’s the standard operating procedure in all delivery services. It’s to be quick
Tossed packages every morning for 25 years. That SOP. Unofficial 😂😂!!
Dude was probably carrying 2 routes, working 12 hours+ everyday, probably only gets one day off and if he started working after 2013 his the pay was cut by$10,000. I feel sorry for that guy. Look at all of those packages. I can't blame him. If you want better quality then support the post office. It could be showing a profit of they stopped prefunding retirement and benefits and also allowed banking services. His actions are obviously wrong, but the post office deserves better and so do the customers. Support the post office! Peace ✌️
yea i heard they over work them too much
Not an excuse.
@@HappiDeigh Correct. His actions were wrong, but at the same time there are no excuses for prefunding retirement and benefits and not having banking services. This is literally crippling the usps and, consequently, people don't want to work there and it's existing employees are overworked and exhausted. Imagine carrying mail and packages all day for 12+hours on your day off. Talk to your mail person, they can tell you. There is no excuse for this, but you can't ignore the bigger issues that end up causing this behavior. Peace ✌️
@@--..-...-..-.--.... then they should find another job if their current job is making them so unhappy that they have to ruin others hard earned purchases. Do people these days really think poor performance is going to get them more benefits and better pay? We all pay taxes and the USPS workers are paid very well. If they are losing anything, maybe they should look at their work ethic.
@@HappiDeigh People fight for better pay, benefits, etc., and are met with others calling them lazy freeloaders. USPS pays well, but again, after 2013 they cut the pay by 10k and increased the workload. Right now there is an issue of work harder for less pay. Do you think that is fair? Work more for less pay, work 12+ hour everyday, work on their day off, etc. Then there is the question of 'why not find another job? Where can they find work that pays well and has a union? Good luck finding a job where there is a union. Then you'll probably say that they should be grateful for having that job, but then we'll go around in circles. People all over are obviously tired working more for less pay and telling them just to work harder doesn't solve anything. Telling them to give another job does not solve anything. Not when everywhere else is the same or even worse. I talk to my mailman all the time and feel sorry for him. I'm not telling him to find another job or to quit complaining (if they had efficient amount of employees and the PO was turning a profit I would then tell him to suck it up😅) I feel like I want to do what I can to improve the situation and not give a bunch of none answers. Oh, and according to him, there is a saying working at the PO: use and abuse.
The volume was to much for that small truck.
Um, that’s how parcels are distributed in the back of the PO as standard operating procedure for over a century. The “parcel ring” processing function. The only difference he’s doing it in public and not out back where the public doesn’t see. It’s not done with animosity, it’s just the way it’s done. Time is money. You’re dreaming if you seriously imagine parcels are handled like a waiter bringing your bowl of lobster bisque. Not just the USPS, all shipping services.
Thank you I said the same thing
Especially on Amazon Sunday
You are so correct! I've been working at the post office for 25+ years! I also work for UPS for 10 1/2 years before working for the postal service. They all handle your packages this way!
Yeah
Not sure if most throw ones that big around with so much force though. Bigger ones I am lucky if the clerk even outs it near my parcel hamper
Sorry I'm going to have to correct you on this one.... he is a carrier and carriers are not allowed to throw any mail! only clerks are. 💖
The story should read “supervisor trying to do a carriers job goes wrong”. Look at the dude’s clothes, no mailman will deliver on a dress shirt, shoes and tight jeans!
omg your so right!!
That could be correct, but not always. New carriers don't get a uniform allowance for almost a year, so they wear their own personal clothes. I've worked for the postal service for 25+ years.
Possibly
He could be a CCA( a substitute ) who didn't receive their uniforms allowance or a Rural carrier/RCA as they never receive uniforms although like you said they probably wouldn't dress so uncomfortable for the job
@@eldiabloelbandito9550 I ve been a carrier for over a decade and have NEVER seen a CCA wearing semi formal attire to deliver mail.
We had a CCA that would wear slacks, button up shirt and a tie to deliver mail.
I hate to see this happen to any customer. I'm a Postal Truck driver..the company should have called and ask for a BULK PICK UP instead.
No firing needs done
How about the postal worker should have called and asked for a coworker to make a bulk pick up later? You guys can't use your own two eyes, your brain, and a phone?
We have clerks that act this way, but it isnt normal carrer behavior. It really sucks as a carrier to have to deliver damaged goods.
They should go in mornings and watch the clerks during parcel Pitching into Hampers for each route.
If they think that’s the first time those records will be thrown, they’re sorely mistaken
Pay the workers right
Most people are not knowing about inside place in usps, ups, and FedEx. They are throwing packages list 5 to 15 feet away every day. Even though packages said fragile.
That's a supervisor doing that.
That's outrageous
Yeah this isn't unacceptable behavior at all. This was tame. Clerks throw packages up to 20 feet much harder whole sorting packages. If your package breaks, it's most likely because you didn't pack it right. That's on you.
200.$for a record that’s insane
No shit I was a teen $3.00
Is this still an issue? Packages are thrown all over the place. How can they carefully place thousands of packages? It's impossible, there's no time.
Soon as it gets to the dock bay a different person hurls them into a larger bin. And then when they get sorted at stations they again get yeeted into hampers. This is how it be.
This is the postal service under dejoy.
I worked with him lol he’s a great supervisor & that station is a retirement station. people call off & get restrictions to not do work all the time. again he’s a great worker & supervisor
Oh he’ll be a PostMaster after this…😅
The employee offered to move cart closer and help. That info was in the story.
How about the employee she could of help too
They are packaged to handle that physical environment. Hurled at 25+ mph isn't going to hurt a properly packaged parcel. Get over it.
That is why you pack up products good. None of that stuff was damaged. Three cart pick up. Next time take them to the office! PLEASE!!😢
Very curious if the parcel pickup said 100 and ended up being 500. Meaning carrier now has to manually enter each one.
Also if your spending 100s on a record that better be sent certified and signature needed. Plus the packaging for such and expensive item is pretty crappy.
Its his third split and 11th hour
Treat it rough, or steal it. UPS.
That sort of pickup SHOULD be on a Truck route - with that many packages - and if it's a regular thing - it'd be WAY better if a 2-ton driver picked them up.
As a carrier I've had huge pickups myself that barely fit into LLV's... so I know how overwhelming a situation like that can be.
What the carrier should have done is refuse to pick it up. It's realistically too much for one person, (they're wheeling them out on dollies -- he likely had no such hardware on his end). If management gave him a hard time, so be it. Better then making himself look like the villain when it's managements fault it got to that in the first place almost certainly.
if you dont like it....deliver your own packages. Lazy america
This postal worker perfectly demonstrates that the term "going postal" is just as relevant today as it was when it was invented in the 80's.
That’s not what that means
@@JasmineReiki calm down, young one and listen to your elders. I was there in the 80's and I know exactly what it means.
Vinyl should easily withstand getting handled like that if it's packed correctly and it looks like it has been.
Who buys vinyl records i listen to my music on my iPad and i buy my music on iTunes it take only a few minutes to download and i don’t have to wait for weeks and worry about any damages or if it gets lost or stolen 👍
Newman!
Liberal Kansas you are in the fire right now ...
That's why when business ship that many packages out they should take them to the office there self. Carriers don't have room for one package. They make two and three trips per day over stuff like this and don't get paid for it nor do they get paid for picking them up
Sure we get paid for it. We get paid by the hour. And it's takes however long it takes.
Public service announcement... after school special announcement. I don't care what you want to call it just listen up! THIS IS HOW ALL PACKAGES ARE PROCESSED THROUGH ALL DELIVERY SERVICES YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO BE DELUSIONAL TO THINK PEOPLE HAND CARRYING YOUR PARCEL FROM YOUR DOOR TO THEIR TRUCK THEN WHEREVER ELSE.... DELUSIONAL. Your packages get thrown every day. Make sure you package your items correctly. no flimsy boxes no flimsy tape.
The Post Office is one of the worst run agencies you will ever be around. Ever try to get customer service from someone? Yeah, non existent.
This is ludicrous to want someone fired over this!!!Are your packages labeled handled with care. And yet you have an assembly line of employees who handled these packages verses one mail carrier loading them whos on a time frame just probably trying to make sure they get to the plant ontime…this world is sad I hate it ..just wants to record everything…put down the cameras & help him ..with any shipping company their thrown further & harder than that during the entire process…my question is was any of them damaged??? This is absolutely sad to want this delivery person fired…if that’s the case bring them to the post office yourself these carriers works their butts off daily for customers no telling how hectic his work load was ..his job was being done & seems to me the emphasis on the news media was unnecessary..Are you guys running out of storys ? You have to try and get someone fired with something this petty smh
the 3 sec video u r looking for in this 3 min vid 1:32
Instead of being a big baby and calling him out how about you offer the guy a drink or a snack he must be completely tired. look at how many packages you’re expecting one individual to load up how about offering a helping hand rather than just pushing a cart out. hand them to them while they’re loading the truck.
tough shit, get a job somewhere else then
😂🤣👎they know he doesn’t care because his supervisor doesn’t care that’s what happens I would find a better service to send or package
Government workers
Idk if yall know this but this happens in the background ,as long as you package well it dosent do anything to the insides now if you being a cheap ass and not packaging right with bubble or peanuts that's on you not the customer 😂 even Amazon does this when were sorting we throw packages to the letters they belong to and go from there except this time he did it in front of the client 🤭
If you can't take pride of your job quit wasting your time! Amazon I've never bought or used them I've had 5 family workers quit that job. if your not wearing a tie there to work ,I understand your pay rate I say bring something to the table to see if the taste is good if not find it someplace else say that job puts food on the table, someday when this recession sets in you may not find a job that was putting good on your table
Glad Justin is getting some less gruesome and sad stories. He’s very talented reporter all the statistics in this story I’m sure he did the digging himself great job Justin. Stay true, we need more hard working reporters.
People that never worked the PO do not realize the package volume they deal with at Christmas time. Most boxes should be marked fraigle, glass, etc. Give the people in blue a break, with DeJoy changing everything, stress is eating them alive. Just bear with them, it will get better. And carriers should have a helper to load their vehicles not just bring out the carts.
FIRE HIM! HE SHOULD OF KNOWN BETTER! POINT PERIOT BLANK
I live no where near Phoenix. From Maine and It's absolutely does represent how the US postal service works. Delivery service sucks, customers service suck, certify mailing sucks, tracking service sucks, mail being held for weeks, told to go to another city and find your mail, only to be told it's illegal to give mail out like that, my local post office knowing this but still push people to overwhelm the other cities post office. Sad our government is so unreliable, good people fill these jobs just to get run off by the derelict's who can't compete a job.
Wow guess family will have to wait on there holiday presents till I see them in person . Back in the day our post man would tell us we have a package at post off he'd write us a slip to pick it up or wait for next day delivery cause he was overloaded during holidays people understood ,fire him see how his Christmas turns out
I own an online business and rely on those packages to get to the buyer safely and intact. This guy infuriated me because he literally without that camera footage could have ruined that man's business. WHY?! Because you don't like the pay at the post office? You worked too hard? Get a new job and quit whining about work. It's costing others their lively hood when he ruins packages because he is having a bad day. Fire his ass!
Good citizen of the United States. This is actually what happens to every single package that gets sent through any kind of delivery service.
Lol you would have a stroke seeing how they get sorted by the clerks in the morning. They are actually allowed to throw packages.
Dont blame the postal worker. Blame the damn people that run the show. They create this crap with impossible workloads.
Gossips in letter carriers as they are so lazy. Know i did not get my senior cab card and a lazy gossiping carrier told me “we do not forward magazines when I was needing the cab card to get to doctor he ran told my Brother in Law, my family disowned me for gossip. Nobody will stop the abuse in Arizona residence less of all the children!
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂are you senile?
@@quennareed1121you did not understand something?
Trying to insult but reality you might not know people suffer when their dependent on health care system & confused. Maybe your a nurse that abuses confused patients? Either way I find your insult lame and without warrant.
If I lost you just ask a question, no need to be a jerk!
Try a USPS worker that cusses at a customer for asking for her name as instructed by postal management because she had no ID present. Threatening the customer if he persists asking, then filing false charges because of it and filing a CPO against him at his own home. Postal Inspection did an investigation and deemed the worker as wrong and needing to be removed from the route and the local office ignored that and the customer and his family have not received mail for over a year. Very good story with a pile of proof that no one will listen to!
He watched it all live what a coward weirdo lmao smh paper !? Paper!!!?? Wth I get it if it was fragile packages or at LEAST electronics but it's just papers lmao weird
Yeah but he saved his supervisor 45 minutes of OT so this employee will be given an attaboy! Normal behavior since PO went hire anybody off street for 12.95 $ an hour, no vacation, no benefits and no accountability..
