Dude was probably carrying 2 routes, working 12 hours+ everyday, probably only gets one day off and if he started working after 2013 his the pay was cut by$10,000. I feel sorry for that guy. Look at all of those packages. I can't blame him. If you want better quality then support the post office. It could be showing a profit of they stopped prefunding retirement and benefits and also allowed banking services. His actions are obviously wrong, but the post office deserves better and so do the customers. Support the post office! Peace ✌️

@@HappiDeigh Correct. His actions were wrong, but at the same time there are no excuses for prefunding retirement and benefits and not having banking services. This is literally crippling the usps and, consequently, people don't want to work there and it's existing employees are overworked and exhausted. Imagine carrying mail and packages all day for 12+hours on your day off. Talk to your mail person, they can tell you. There is no excuse for this, but you can't ignore the bigger issues that end up causing this behavior. Peace ✌️

@@--..-...-..-.--.... then they should find another job if their current job is making them so unhappy that they have to ruin others hard earned purchases. Do people these days really think poor performance is going to get them more benefits and better pay? We all pay taxes and the USPS workers are paid very well. If they are losing anything, maybe they should look at their work ethic.

    • @--..-...-..-.--....
      @--..-...-..-.--.... Год назад +4

@@HappiDeigh People fight for better pay, benefits, etc., and are met with others calling them lazy freeloaders. USPS pays well, but again, after 2013 they cut the pay by 10k and increased the workload. Right now there is an issue of work harder for less pay. Do you think that is fair? Work more for less pay, work 12+ hour everyday, work on their day off, etc. Then there is the question of 'why not find another job? Where can they find work that pays well and has a union? Good luck finding a job where there is a union. Then you'll probably say that they should be grateful for having that job, but then we'll go around in circles. People all over are obviously tired working more for less pay and telling them just to work harder doesn't solve anything. Telling them to give another job does not solve anything. Not when everywhere else is the same or even worse. I talk to my mailman all the time and feel sorry for him. I'm not telling him to find another job or to quit complaining (if they had efficient amount of employees and the PO was turning a profit I would then tell him to suck it up😅) I feel like I want to do what I can to improve the situation and not give a bunch of none answers. Oh, and according to him, there is a saying working at the PO: use and abuse.

Um, that’s how parcels are distributed in the back of the PO as standard operating procedure for over a century. The “parcel ring” processing function. The only difference he’s doing it in public and not out back where the public doesn’t see. It’s not done with animosity, it’s just the way it’s done. Time is money. You’re dreaming if you seriously imagine parcels are handled like a waiter bringing your bowl of lobster bisque. Not just the USPS, all shipping services.

That sort of pickup SHOULD be on a Truck route - with that many packages - and if it's a regular thing - it'd be WAY better if a 2-ton driver picked them up.
As a carrier I've had huge pickups myself that barely fit into LLV's... so I know how overwhelming a situation like that can be.
What the carrier should have done is refuse to pick it up. It's realistically too much for one person, (they're wheeling them out on dollies -- he likely had no such hardware on his end). If management gave him a hard time, so be it. Better then making himself look like the villain when it's managements fault it got to that in the first place almost certainly.
