My favorite thrash album is "Among The Living"! Enough said! Have you ever heard of a death core band "mankind grief "? They released an ep in 2019. It's fucking awesome. Just wondering if you know anything about them or if they plan to release any new music soon?
Please check out “The Years of Decay” by Overkill. Easily one of the best pure thrash albums of all time, and one of the first to feature modern-sounding breakdowns before that was an established convention in metal/core music.
Power Trip sort of sounds like Razor. New Flotsam and Jetsam album for 2021 is actually pretty good! Finally checked it out after thinking it would just be OK like some of their other ones the past 10 years. Sea of Tranquility got me to listen to it when he put it on his end of the year list. Cool picks. Its too bad you hate black metal because I've heard a LOT of amazing black-and-thrash hybrid acts just this past year, the two styles are amazing together. A good example of this is Proscriptor McGovern’s Apsû's self titled from this year, the thrash component gives that record real momentum throughout. Scaffold is another band to check out. Speaking of Exodus, I just heard their 2021 release, and while I didn't love the more dated elements those guys clearly still have a young man's vitality, the leads were blistering all over that thing. Loving proggy thrash the most, bands like Phrenetix (check out their lastest album Exuviae), Vektor (got Terminal Redux on vinyl) and older stuff I'm digging is Toxik, Kreator, Havok etc. Definitely love Sepultura, Overkill, and even early Metallica.
