United Abominations took a long time to grow on me. But now that it has. It's badass. The guitar work is amazing, it's so technical. The lyrics are some of the best Dave has ever written. Killer album !

Megadeth - Dystopia (I don't like the Drovers like you do)
Exodus - Tempo of the Damned (I don't like Rob Dukes like you do)
    Slayer - Christ Illusion

@@RWalters81 Yeah, it kinda depends on your tastes as to which era of Sepultura you prefer. I love the Max albums (Schizophrenia is my favorite Sep album ever), but the experimentation in the Derrick albums is great. This is coming from someone that likes prog, so Sep + Prog makes me happy. Purists will cry, but Max has his old catalog with Sep, plus material with 5-6 other bands. Leave Derrick alone.

In my opinion United Abominations is the best Megadeth album of 2000s. It is quite overlooked to be honest. There’s zero fillers on the album, including a tout le monde cover feels very perky to the original and the guest vocals of Cristina Scabbia fit the remake very perfectly. Back in 2007 when I was 17 I had heard some Megadeth songs here and there (mostly the mainstream ones), but this was my serious gateway to the band, after which I became a huge fan. Therefore this album will always have a special place in my heart.

I love Kreator! But I wouldn't say that their last two albums were thrash. I think Bryce said he was cutting off this modern list at 2006, so Enemy Of God (2005) just missed the cut off. Otherwise that would definitely be in my top 5. Hordes Of Chaos came out in 2007 (or '08 or '09, I can't quite remember), and while that is definitely thrash, it's one of my least favorite Kreator albums.

Exhibit B great choice, so heavy, good writing, dueling solos, killer chugging riffs. Endgame never gets old i swear and can listen all the way through good pick. Ironbound is a modern classic beginning to end. Id pick relentless retribution for death angel, gritty, lots of speed, catchy chorus.

Death Magnetic has some great material but the songs are too damn long.. snip 20 mins off and it would be much better, Metallica fan since 86 and I enjoy the hell out of Hardwired .. seen them on tour in Quebec 2017 they are still incredible especially live

I was impressed to see a Paradox album on here as well as mention of Artillery. What about Accuser though? Agitation and their self-titled album are killer in my opinion. I’m also puzzled about Ironbound. To me it sounds uninspired, especially following Immortalis. Totally agree with the Megadeth choices. Those two albums are amazing!
