Quality stuff. I feel like every Blender user is connected by the nostalgia of creating their first donut. Finishing the donut tutorial grants you the right of passage to the Blender world.
@@Valcuda some ppl where here before the donut tutorial u know, my first was the ‘spaceship corridor’ from Andrew, by the time he brought his donut series out I had passed beyond those stages 😢

I still remember when I follow that tutorial and made a donut, man still got the Blender file save there, and now I've made more complex stuff after that, the nostalgia it brings me when I first enter 3D modeling, great work with this amazing video!
To be fair His tutorial gave me enough of the basics to be able to make a bedroom, kitchen and school hallway. While I get flack for admitting to making the donut first, if not for that donut tutorial I'm sure a lot of people would have given up early on. There is nothing wrong with wanting to make a simple item first, because it gives you the feeling that you can try more. Either way, great video :) very funny
The concept of a doughnut caught on so well it was even used as a system of measure within reality in the hit movie "Knives Out". Tracy Chapman even had a character who ran a doughnut shop and gave philisophical viewpoints with doughnuts at the center.
I was expecting a little meme video but WOW, not only did that make me laugh more than a simple meme could, it blew me away in terms of quality and effort! Great job, subscribed and looking forward to seeing more content from you :D
As someone who just picked up Blender yesterday, this video is inspiring and motivating. Now I'm going to imagine these little guys working hard (and grumbling about it lol) helping me make my first donut! It's very endearing to know that (almost?) all Blender artists are connected by this one little fried dough treat lol. The joy of creating is wonderful.

Honestly the Donut Tutorial is such an integral part of Blender itself that they should just put Blender Guru on their Homepage, or even the splash screen when you first download it.
I made the Doughnut about 3 years ago which was just the beginning of my blender journey and I never looked back. It has become an obsession of mine ever since. In fact everything on my youtube channel is blender content. Thanks blender Guru!

As someone who is finally on the very last video of his tutorial what a ride, so much harder than I was thinking but I'm sticking to it. This video was awesome and pretty uplifting too lol
Recently I found a job in my country Iran as an 3d artist to make interior and exterior environments but they insist that I use 3d max on projects so I had to relearn everything that I learned from dear Andrew Price again but in 3d max and let me tell you its frustrating. I m really missed using blender it was free and it was so much easier and actually better than 3d max. and tutorials nothing came near as Blender Guru tutorials. Andrew Price had such talent and expertise that even me with foreign language (Persian) and with my poor English could learn Blender easy and fast. Those who've never made a doughnut.

lol it has the structure of an ad 😂
I think it was the lighting. Dark edges center the view on one thing, which usually in an ad is the product.
