Of course, @Project_38 it's refreshing to hear someone talk about paintballing In a positive way again! And know what their talking about. Back in the 80's we just used BB guns..then to paintballing cause it didn't hurt as much. lol well trying to get back into the sport with my son! He loves it! I just need to catch up on all the latest myself. We MUST keep this sport alive.
When using any kind of stencil you shouldn’t spray so close to it or it just looks like a blob. Spray a little further away and lightly dust on the paint and the effect will come through much better
I always found the best looking/most natural spray job was a tan or sand base coat, a few swipes of brown and green for striping, then blending it all together with a misting of green. works for a lot of environments, and doesn't make your gun look like it was sponsored by Real Tree (tm) camo. Also, Krylon is INFINTELY better than rust-oleum. It wears much more naturally, adheres better (where I've found rusto-leum kind of chips as it wears) and just has an overall better looking finish.
I like what you said and appreciate your thoughts. And I don’t think you can go wrong with any combination. Keeping in mind current environment, changes of season and whether or not deep woodland or open expansion. Where I live, it’s all of the above. Thank you for your input and for stopping by. Not at all. The solvents “gas off” real fast and it doesn’t leave any residue. I think it’s the safest to use. I wouldn’t use paint thinner or lacquer thinner. I think they’re to heavy. Thanks for commenting and stopping by. Ranger Sprocket
Thanks for stopping by and for your questions. The paint I used had primer in it. Either way, primer is not necessary. After you paint your rifle, or whatever you paint, handling it and rubbing against your gear will cause it to wear off. No worries though, quick touch ups are easy. Ranger Sprocket

Will the crab cleaner or mass cleaner hurt the stock or mag, like make it sticky.

Try to build up the guts to paint my long gun
Grab a 1x4 or an old scrap of wood and practice on it. May help with the vision and then the courage.
I thought on my for months.
Like project_38 said on ply wood or if you have a toy/nerf gun you could practice on it
@@TacticalFishermen I practiced on a toy bolt action from Bass Pro. My little one loves it.

@42WasTheAnswer just do it.
Wouldn't it make more sense to just leave the flip up sights down, so you only spray the front, and the back is good.
I suppose. I’ve always done it this way and we are definitely creatures of habit.
