    Thank you! Two hours spent trying to get it back together using the instruction manual. After ten minutes with your video I'm all set. What a difference a few little hints make.

    Thank you, thank you! Just saved me a trip to the sewing machine repair guy! Why don't the directions that come with the machine say to match up the arrow and the white dot!! Now it's written in so I'll never forget.

    THANK YOU!!!! I could not get it back together correctly. It turns out that the plate had come off in one piece, but it's really two. When I separated them and put them in one at a time, it worked. And also a needle has gone through my bobbin, which I wasn't even looking for until you held up one that looks identical to mine. I'll send for a new one right away and hope that fixes some of my missing stitches!

    Thank you for the excellent video. I was going to send my machine in for service and wait weeks but after watching your video I see my bobbins case has two holes and that must be the reason my thread start knotting and breaking needles. I ordered replacement parts online and hopefully I can fix the machine myself and get back to making beautiful things. Thank you!

    If you try everything in this video and things still aren't working right, put the bobbin case back in LAST (after needle plate and L-shaped cover plate). This hint came from the sewing machine repairman at my Baby Lock dealer. A life saver!

    This was very informative. I have a small nick on my sewing plate that I think has been causing many thread breaks. I was wondering though why they don’t make the bobbin case out of a better material.... one that doesn’t have chunks that break off.

    Thanks for this video. It was very clear to understand. May I suggest that the white plastic portion be replaced before inserting the needle so there's no chance of dropping the needle into the machine. Also, due to a very slight misalignment during manufacturing, I need to open my accessory box before I can pop that white portion of the cover forward.
    I was extremely frustrated trying to remove this cover until I figured the out. the accessory box cover must also be open to replace this case cover portion. My dealer agreed with my assessment of my particular problem.

    • @babylocksewing
      @babylocksewing  6 лет назад

      Hi Marlette! Thanks for sharing your experience! That is a great idea to put the white/gray portion back before replacing your needle to avoid the chance of your needle falling into the machine!! Carla did actually remove the accessory box from the machine to move the white/gray portion on and off.

    • @dougthompson2958

      Patty, that message usually if there is a bind in the machine. When you remove the Bobbin Case and the needle plate and rotate the handwheel toward you. It should be easy to turn. If you attach those parts and it becomes hard to turn, they may not be assembled properly.

    • @babylocksewing
      @babylocksewing  2 года назад

      Hi Claudia, if the Bobbin Case is seated properly, the problem could be a damaged Bobbin Case or a Technical Issue. We recommend contacting your local Baby Lock retailer to have one of their technicians take a look at your machine.

    What if one of the screws on the plate is too tight to get off? Hard to maintain and clean it out when one of screws is too tight and you’re likely to strip it.

    Received an "F01" Error Code on my Decorator's Choice Baby Lock. Have
    checked & triple checked for any thread issues in the needle and
    bobbin areas (underneath needle plate too) including the upper threading
    portions...nothing obstructing whatsoever. Contacted Baby Lock
    "Support" and of course they were no help. Any help you can send my way

    Today is Marcy 9, 2019 … I have spent 2 HOURS trying to align the bobbin case and have watched this tutorial A LOT & the manual hasn't been any help either!! When I think the case is aligned with arrow & dot as soon as I try to do check stitch it keeps wadding the THREAD. The bobbin case is aligned according to the manual and this video. When I turn the wheel everything seems to be okay, but it's not.
    I'VE HATED THIS MACHINE SINCE THE PURCHASE and I TELL ANYONE THAT IS LOOKING FOR A MACHINE TO STAY A WAY FROM THIS ONE! I have gone back to using my Vintage Singer Machines that have NEVER given me an ounce of trouble.

    Why not use canned air to clean bobbin housing?

    • @babylocksewing
      @babylocksewing  7 лет назад

      Hi Jane! We try to avoid the canned air because we don't like to blow anything into the machine. If you would like to use something to pull the dust/build up out, we'd recommend getting keyboard vacuum attachments and pull it out vs. blowing it into the machine. Thank you for asking!

    • @marlettelouisin9805
      @marlettelouisin9805 6 лет назад

      If you use canned air you will for e tiny pieces of lint into the machine. It will build up in the inaccessible, to you, areas and cause problems requiring a professional cleaning sooner than you may have needed. You would be surprised how much lint can be forced into areas you can't see!! Using a vacuum with the electronics accessories is a much safer and efficient method of cleaning your machine if you think you need to get lint out that you can't reach with you brush tool. The accessory set costs about $20-25,00 which is much cheaper than a repair!
