That canyon footage is awesome! I think it’s great the knife wasn’t that sharp anymore when you cut the rope, that’s real life testing right there and it shows you actually used it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I think the sheath should adjust to accommodate different sized belts and eliminate the swivel, if you prefer. Good review, keep up the good work my guy
Sencut discontinued this one. Had to grab it & I must say, it’d great. Wish they made more color choices but I guess it didn’t sell well enough. I’ll be carrying this more often
I really like your Rat-2 D-2…😆 Drop the T out of the name… it’s Waxahachie. And you’re right, they did do a bunch of models after cities in Texas. There has to be a connection there somewhere.
Gideon: "I don't have a sharpener with me..." Me: "WHAAAAAAAT?!!!"... Where is your Guided Field Sharpener? Why would it be anywhere other than your truck? 9cr is an acceptable steel, but it is still high maintenance relative to most higher cost steels. My OCD would hit near terminal levels if I were to be out in the beautiful wilderness without access to a sharpener. Awsome wilderness footage and good video!
@@gideonsstuff ......now I feel like a complete a**hole... Sorry. FWIW, I was very impressed with how well you were able to strop it back up with your belt.
@@OldTantoGuy Don't feel bad😂 I've been meaning to replace it for weeks and just keep putting it off. And yeah, I add a little strop compound to all my belts for this very purpose 😂
Depending on the segment of the video, this knife had a factory edge, a field edge put on during an antelope hunt, a very damaged edge, and I think a Worksharp Precision Adjust edge as well. It's been through a lot 😂 Thanks for watching!👍

Thanks for watching! Real life testing is what I strive for here👍😂
I like the knife, but that canyon was the star of this video. Very cool! 👍✌️
The canyon definitely stole the show😂
Thanks for watching!

Yeah...it's such a shame they discontinued it. I might grab another!

You're right! Don't know where I got that T from. I'll update the thumbnail. Thanks for watching!👍😁
You had your Rat 1 and 2 mixed up. The big ones the Rat 1. Anyway cool video as always Gideon.
Yeah, I often mix my words up with the Rats. Bad habits 😂
Thanks for watching!

My field sharpener was in my stolen backpack and I haven't replaced it yet😭 Very inconvenient
Thanks for watching as always, man!

@@gideonsstuff Awsome!! 😂😂🤣 That explains why you always wear such long belts. 🤣🤣
Your edge looks a little wonky and taller at some spots than others (like where it folded over)
