good tips! I will add one that has helped me, drop the sheath in HOT water so it expands a little then work the knife...... I will refrain from making a joke about lubing the nubs and working in and out because I am an adult.

AFTER the video..during the editing process I considered that phrasing.... but I was done with it and wasn't going to reshoot the video! We are all middle schoolers at heart.

Love that you're doing this at a bike workbench, feels like home.. or a Park ad😄. That's the biggest bottle of Tri-Flow ever.

that bottle of TriFlow has lasted me YEARS and still going strong!

@@RandallsAdventureESEE If it moves, it gets TriFlow. Or Phil Wood. (Which is GREAT on slide rails.)

@@A-staticCal don't tell but I still have some cans of GT-85 stashed in there somewhere. I will give you another FREE tip... want a SUPER clean bike that mud just falls off of? Go to your local motorcycle shop and buy a can of SC1 by Maxima products. Works great on car tires like armor all.... if I'm traveling I coat the front of my car with it and the bugs just spray off.

I just bought 3 of your knives within the last month and a half. The Junglas, 6 & 4. The #4 has a rough canvas handle and it was hell to get out. I'm a retired Carpenter so the first thing I did was to file down the bumps. Then to get rid of the file marks I lit a match and just before it went out I brought it close to those little bumps and it melted down the scratch marks so it's smooth again. I went from processed wood to organic wood cutting. I got them all at once because things are getting harder to get here in Canada.

Thanks Shane--good advice as usual. FWIW--a couple of my Esee's were tough to remove from the sheath and I just put a very thin layer of Vaseline on those little nubs inside the sheath. It worked great. I only had to do it once and it helped to break the sheath in and the 3 or 4 sheaths I did this to all work great now

I just happened to have one of my Izulas right in front of me. I had to retrain my right hand draw because of an issue with trigger finger on my middle finger. Now I have to choke up and use my pinky instead of the ring finger in the lanyard hole. Grip tight and push with the thumb. I don't usually carry it in cold weather.
