Dude, I love your video, you have a great charisma, and your analysis and reaction is pretty answe! Loudness is one of my favorite bands, and this song: Like Hell is the favorite song from the album Thunder In East! Great job, cheers from Brazil!
listening Loudness for the first time in 1987.. "Let it go" ... but "Like Hell" is my favorite. it blew me away, especially the lead guitarist Akira Takasaki.. Thanks man for the video.. I like your reaction.
i'm just 31 yrs but , i love their early years songs. Another japanese band is Seikima II (seikimatsu which mean end of the century and yeah they disband 31 december 1999 at midnight) the song called "el dorado" and "jack the ripper" are great. there are toooooo many band to listen and discover in the world
Yeah these guys were our first taste of Japanese metal in the US back in the mid-80's. They had a couple video's on MTV and toured pretty extensively for about 2 albums--then poof!!...they headed back to Japan and weren't really heard from again over here. Grunge was about to kill the hair metal scene anyway, so they timed it right lol. They had a decent little run over here though, with a good word of mouth regarding their live shows. My hat is off to them---they have kept going for all these years with a break here and there, and just played the Summer Sonic festival in Japan this year.
I suggested Loudness to you a while back, but I linked a video from the 80s, "Crazy Nights." Some others have mentioned other songs by them from back then, but the only one I remember from then is "Crazy Nights." A quick search of the band name and song title should bring up the video at the top of the search results. I'll just say this about that video as compared to this one: their look is a bit different.
Loudness was the first Japanese band I heard and yes it was back in the 80s, they were the only ones I was aware of venturing outside of Japan back then although I expect X Japan must have done so. It wasn't until I stumbled across Babymetal that I heard anything else Japanese. 'Heavy Chains' by Loudness was a favourite track of mine from back then, it was on their album Thunder in the East I think. The guitarist was - and still is - so good. A reaction to that would be appreciated.
Loudness 1 of Best Heavy Metal in the World.

So, they are still performing?! Knew it! Haha 😁
Nice background story by the way, thank you. Funny how quick things can go in music.
they got an english singer and i think that kinda killed everyones interest in them.
