Burgess Silencers is what the compressed air field uses

Can anything be done about separating the moisture from the compressed air before it goes into the receiving tank...like a moisture separator placed between the compressor and the receiver tank?

      There should be!

The warm air from the pump is creating condensation in the tank itself.

There is but you have to void the warranty by cutting the line from the compressor and adding a cooling system inbetween the compressor and tank

Just curious 3 vapor blasters and 1 dry ? I built two larger vapor blasters and 1 commercial dry cabinet but found I can do everything with one vapor and one dry

I keep 2 different medias in the 2 smaller vapor blasters. The larger one is just for the larger parts.

Great video, do you still like the compressor, any problems etc.
When you sandblast what pressure are you using and for for long at one time? I do sandblasted signs and will need it to run around 30-45 minutes at a time because some signs are large like 4’x6’ or larger.

Then you need to consider a big tank (over 120 gallons) or run a dual tank setup.
Running a two stage pump will help the compressor "keep up" when you hit the low pressure trigger point.

A $70 baffled car muffler hooked up (after the air filter) to the inlet of your IR will quiet it down even more than the Emax. Don't ask me how I know, just do it. Cheapest "peace" money can buy

Very nice compressor. Do yourself a favor and get an after cooler. I'm sure that unit cost a pretty penny, and it sucks to have all that water getting pumped into the tank.

You absolutely need to install an automatic tank drain. You have a ton of moisture on that tank.

    • @motoblast3574
      @motoblast3574  2 года назад +2

I drain it myself every hour and after each day in the summer. Fall and winter has almost no moisture at all

you need to install an aftercooler with auto drain. that amount of condensate in your tank is no bueno! good thing you're not painting cars :-)

Water separation works better the more distance you have it away from the compressor.

This is not even a comparisons at all like comparing a mid-school football player to collage eaton will kill it !! a small 3 hps motor to a true 10 hp not even a comparisons IR is a 2 cylinder single stage and Eaton's 4 cylinder 2 stage oil pressure industrials unit and IR is made for hobbits at home garage not even close the Emax is $4000 compare $1000

    • @motoblast3574

Right. I was sort of comparing the noise reduction with their intake system.
