TUTORIAL: ECOVACS DEEBOT T9+ Robot Vacuum MERGE & DIVIDE Rooms & spaces

This video shows how to Merge and Divide rooms and large open spaces using the ECOVACS DEEBOT T9+ Robot Vacuum. You will need to have your house map created in the ECOVACS Home App prior to using Merge and Divide. Thank you for the detailed mapping tutorial. I have a lot of sliding glass doors which was a problem for mapping. The robot would see the outside as part of the room and it kept trying to go there. Same thing happened with my curbless glass shower enclosure. I finally had to tape towels around all the glass at ground level and remap the house. It worked like a charm.

This is a helpful video. I am trying to divide a large open space and it keeps telling me “the dividing line is too close to the edge. Please try again. “. I have tried several times with no luck. Can you help?

Thanks, Glad it was helpful! The error occurs when the DEEBOT has sensed a wall nearby. I used to get this error in early days when I had newly bought my DEEBOT T9+ and started to merge & divide. Also the version of the ECOVACS Home app then was not very robust. It also did not do any horizontal divides only vertical ones. The app has improved a lot since then (currently I have V2.4.6 for DEEBOT T9+) and now does horizontal divides. The error also no longer appears. So, would suggest checking that app version is the latest and that the dividing line is not too close to a wall. If the error persists then best to contact ECOVACS Customer Care at your location. Thank you but I cant get to this features it says incomplete map😢 l dont why the vacuum ropot doest complete the map?please help

Thanks for your comment. The incomplete map appears in situations such as if the robot vacuum has missed mapping any rooms or if a prior map exists and it has again started creating the same map. The incomplete map can be deleted, then remap, but best if you call ECOVACS customer care in your location to discuss. Also check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on 'incomplete maps' in the support section of the ECOVACS website for your location. Goodluck!
