I play slow pitch softball currently and my hands are open with the knocking knuckles lined up. This allows my wrists to snap better.

Good points. I was also thinking that Maybe the the knuckles position should be align at the point of contact. So when the hands gets into point of contact, the alignment of the knuckles should be comfortable.

I blame my big league dreams not turning out on my coaches making me use the open grip. I thought this was just law in baseball. MLB the show made me think the development team were not educated on it 🤦
I’m joking on the MLB dreams let’s be realistic 😅
