How to increase stamina and speed

Hi Vicky, "stamina and speed" are quite broad turns but we recommend starting with a foundation of aerobic development as that is your primary energy system for anything over 2 minutes. Low intensity training works quite well for this and the "talk test" is a good way to make sure you are training easily enough.
For speed, you need a little but not too much. Doing drills like these and some of our other videos are a great way to start. Adding a few 100m strides can help improve leg speed and neuromuscular coordination. As your fitness improves, you can add distance to those intervals.
If you're interested in a training plan that helps pieces all of these elements together for you, you can check them out on our website here- www.paragontraining.org/product-page/running-foundation
      Hope that helps!
