Featuring original arrangements of holiday classics selected from Big Band Holidays concerts spanning from 2015 to 2018, nine-time GRAMMY Award winner and Pulitzer Prize winner Wynton Marsalis and the JLCO are joined by an all-star assortment of guest vocalists, including Veronica Swift, Denzal Sinclaire, Catherine Russell, Audrey Shakir, and the Queen of Soul herself, Aretha Franklin.
Franklin’s stirring solo piano rendition of “O Tannenbaum,” a surprise performance during the 2015 edition of Big Band Holidays, has never before been released. Other standout tracks include Veronica Swift’s vibrant take on the classic “(Everybody’s Waitin’ For) The Man with the Bag” and Denzal Sinclaire’s jazzed-up version of “We Three Kings.” An instant classic that captures the magic of an annual NYC holiday tradition, BIG BAND HOLIDAYS II serves up timeless nostalgia right on cue for the most wonderful time of the year.

What an amazing performance. Unbelievable. Such an incredibly talented group of musicians and vocalists. If this doesn't bring the Christmas spirit to you, am not sure what would. Wishing all of these wonderful folks all the best. Please stay safe.
What can I say after listening such a piece. I am speechless. Well done Guys. Happy Christmas All
This is one of my favourite Christmas pieces from J@LCO. Both for length and the number of solos from the musicians, and the vocals kill it too! Love it :D
Dan Nimmer really channelling his inner Erroll Garner on this one. Love it!

Juat one woman on the stage. You can't tell me that was due to musical talent. Kinda spoils it for me, alas.
😢❤
For heaven's sake, not every single thing has to be a fiery strike for women's power. Just enjoy the talent, lol.
@@lilykilbourne1113and not every man is so fragile they need defending. That the group should be more diverse, is a fair point and good to point out. We can appreciate the talent *and* point out that it would be even better to include talented people of all genders. Fantastic group. And also, there are incredibly talented folks who may deserve a spot on that stage, who weren’t given a chance.
I didn’t notice it until you pointed it out. Although her talent is amazing and sure stands out among men. She highlights the whole performance
My point is simply that nobody on that stage needs defending! Why can't folks just enjoy something the way it is? Why is everything so damn political? Someone just HAS to bring everything down. It's depressing.@@shilohstrawbridge7271
