This was like a slow, soulful, syncopated walk through the Galaxy. Each time I hear the jazz musicians at the Lincoln Center under Marsalis's direction, I feel proud to be human and grateful to have hearing.

As a 30 year old who’s soul matures every day with everyday experiences I really appreciate this type of talent and genre of music.. thank you to the unappreciated artists who create noisy works of art for people to cherish for a lifetime.
Top of my list of musicians! I've seen these guys live 3 times now and I've been amazed each time. Thanks for making and sharing this incredible sound. Sherman -- Wow!
I have been lucky for the past six years to be able to attend the concerts of these greats when they play every year at the Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. What a thrill it was for me in the 2022 concert when Mr. Marsalis started to introduce the next piece and it was Blues Walk with Mr. Irby playing his fantastic solos, with Mr. Printup, Mr. Crenshaw and the rest of the great band participating.
Wow...!!! Harmonized improv of the flugal horn solo from 'He Loves You'. Great job. And the 'high' trumpets sound good...!!! Always love big bands. Keep it going guys. Cheers.

whaoo!!! de faire revivre des standards de jazz de cette manière et bien messieurs un grand bravo.. à quand votre concert en France ........ David .....
There is so much good music across the world! You have to find it and you have to actively search for it! So many fantastic ensembles and groups, and players! You have to find them!
They say that Sherman Irby was late for saxophone class one day and the teacher scolded everyone for being early
Let this be an example to all young sax players, you don’t need to play 32nd notes for 64 bars to solo well. Sometimes less is more.
And here the solo runs (walks) along 84 bars
Cuz its blues
Preach!!!!!!
Notas Musicales 🎶
Calidad!!!!!
No cantidad.
I just heard Sherman play live 2 days ago. This could not be more true even 2 years later. Amazing musicianship.
Damn he's make that sax talk literally.. he's articulation and dynamics are amazing
yes! and that last desperate cry at the end gave me goose bumps.
Agreed. I also love his growls.
Haha! He literally made the saxophone talk? What did that jazzy ol' sax have to say? Do tell!

Monumental sax lesson. You know when "it's " happening when the band is looking at the soloist and enjoying it. Blues at its finest. Thankyou Mr Irby.
The JLCO are the best in the world right now. A fine piece of music.
Let the ego go. Let the spirit flow.
He's channeling totally at peace. So nice so refreshing.

That trumpet solo gives me chills
Best blues solo I’ve ever heard
I miss Joe Temperley. Much Like Harry Carney, his sound was part of the ensembles unique voice. Rip Joe
"Can I take your plate?" at 4:50. Then, "Oh, you're not done yet."

I'm working on the original Lou Donaldson solo...love how he slowed it up. Really hits.

Stunning. Does anyone know what make a model of alto sax that is
This is perfection 👌🏽
Very good 🌷👍🇸🇪
