    I will always remember when he first started playing for Ireland…the intensity…the attitude….the desire…the dog...the flash of his dark hair and wild eyes! He has never willingly taken a backward step in the green or red jersey. He is a true Irish rugby legend. I will always be grateful for his try-saving intercept against NZ. .

      @@Budge94 nobody has said he was the best ever, but he’s obviously very good and successive Irish and Munster coaches seem to agree. Put your bitterness away.

      I am a Leinster supporter through and through POM is one of the most passionate Irish players to wear the Jersey. He has worn it for years and deserves to keep wearing it. He is one a jackal threat a line put threat and a master of the dark arts. He is an Irish rugby legend.

    Great interview Nathan. I'm a huge fan of POM but he's maybe not the easiest guy in the world to interview, but you handled it very well.

    the man, the myth, the legend, the great POM! a man of few words but when he speaks we listen! An absolute workhorse for Munster, Ireland and the Lions! He will truly go down as one of the all-time greatest players in world rugby!

    Peter has always been my hero, unassuming off the field and a roaring tiger on it.
    I imagine he's still beating himself up over the red card against Wales a while back but found massive redemption against the ABs.
    All the group seem quietly resolute especially Sexton.
    Definitely my favourite time of year with 6 Nations and Cheltenham, what a weekend ahead of us.

    Could agree more with all the people who are complimenting POM's grit, determination, passion, work rate, leadership, and toughness. Love seeing him in the Ireland team, and would be great to see him and the boys see off Scotland and England and clinch all the honours in this year's 6N !!!

    92 caps, only 8 away from being a centenarian. Hope he gets that milestone, as said the backrow competition is mad. Also remember that Keith Earls was close to breaking a milestone. Hope he finds form again and gets to finish his career on a high.
    I doubt I'll have the team right but anticipating that Scotland is going to come out from the get-go...

    There's a big difference between watching O'Mahony on the TV compared to being in the stadium. He's only of the best players I've seen play for Ireland in the Aviva.

    POM is a true Irish legend. We'll miss him badly when he's gone. Only POM and Sexton have the dog in them.
    They should have had Ger Gilroy to do his usual rant and to ask POM why he starts ahead of, oh my god it's Baird, Conan anyone but POM 😆

    I am surprised Pete didn't pull you up on the 2013 Ireland team to play Scotland Keith Earls started and Dave Kilcoyne was on the bench. Both are very much still in the mix in the Ireland camp today. I listen less and less to OTB, such bias toward Leinster setup. Ulster man Iain Henderson was in the 2013 line up too.

      Nathan suggests that only two players from the 2013 line up were still in the Ireland squad today, the truth is that of 5 those players still are in the Ireland camp. Nathan's regret comes from the 9 Leinster players who have since retired.

They can be used to distinguish between people with the same given name. But more often than not, they are a simple show of affection for the individual. Are his family not entitled to express their love of Pete? No one prevented you from using a pseudo on RUclips, why hide your own identity?

      I agree, he should lighten up a bit. Even if he is doing an interview he could make a bit more of an effort to seem like he wants to be there. All the other players do it, so why shouldn’t he. It comes with the job.
