All I would say is think about the timing of your application carefully. Either apply in autumn so that you can get the full year following or apply April /may time. You'll then get you visa from July onwards meaning you'll escape tax in that year. In Manchester, UK they are taking the full 12 weeks to complete applications.

My confusion lies with the requirement to stay over 183 days. The recent Supreme Court ruling determined this could no longer be enforced by immigration. One can now stay less than 6 months and qualify for a renewal. Have you experienced something different with your clients?

Can a U.S. citizen & natural born Filipino reside in Spain for 2 full years without a visa? Also is there a need to apply for a non-lucrative visa if a person is a U.S. citizen+natural born Filipino?
US Nationals or Filipino Nationals need visas to live in Spain.
In order to visit Spain for less than 90 days us Nationals don't need a Schengen visa to enter the Schengen area including Spain, but a Filipino passport holder needs to obtain a Schengen visa even to enter the Schengen space.
Do not look at the Visa must be applied from the Spanish consulate that serves your area of residence. It cannot be applied from within Spain. The digital Nomad Visa can be applied from within Spain.
The advantage of being a Filipino passport holder is that if you gain legal residence in Spain you can apply for Spanish nationality after only 2 years versus 10 years if I US passport holder. Dual citizens from the USA and Philippines benefit from the fast track of two years as well.

Solo puedes hacerlo dónde te corresponda según residencia, no puedes elegirlo.
This is crazy expensive and burocratic. On top of that they force you to become tax resident with the highest tax system in Europe. Why would people bother?
Not saying that Spain has low taxation, but it's not the highest in Europe. There are other countries in Europe with higher tax: taxfoundation.org/data/all/eu/top-personal-income-tax-rates-europe-2024/
You must become tax resident if you want to renew your NLV. But you don't have to.
You could just live in Spain less than 183 days a year and not become a tax resident.
@@javiernelson8809 The tax system is not that bad, I'm coming from the UK and ours is slowly catching up with Spain's. The lifestyle, the people, the country, the customs, the fiestas, the food (although other country's have better food, sorry Spain), cost of living, weather, shall I go on??????
