    25:40, it's Long Term Residence, not Permanent Residence
    25:59 "The 180 days in Spain for a 2 year renewal" was annulled by the Supreme Court last year
    22:18 Nowhere in the legislation is there any requirement to demonstrate intent to remain in Spain

    Please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't 75 the upper age limit for being accepted into a Spanish private healthcare insurance plan regardless of the person's nationality and visa status?

    Hi Alex. We are presently on our 90 day stay in Our home in Quesada. Please would it be possible to access some advice from your office in Quesada regarding NLV and tax implications ? So worried about Spanish tax etc, it’s stopping us applying for our NLV. Would this be a free chat or how much might it cost. Look forward to your reply. Regards. Tom & Josie Williams.

    Thanks for an informative video.
    Suppose I wished to remain tax resident in the UK, did not wish to apply for permanent residency in Spain after 5 years but did want to obtain ongoing renewable NLVs. Can you confirm as per the info at 25:37 that this would be possible by spending >180 (or exactly 180 days) but

    Hi. I am slightly confused. Do we need a Spanish address BEFORE we apply for the Non Lucrative visa? If we are in UK and selling our home we will not yet have a spanish address. Chicken or egg situation?
    Thanks

      Yes you will need a Spanish address in order to apply for the NLV. It can be a temporary address.

    So with my spouse being an Irish passport holder, does the residency have to be applied for in Spain or before we move?
    Hopefully moving after August 2024

      @MyLawyerInSpain  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Paul, residency has to be applied for from Spain. However you will need some docs from your home country so send us an email to enquiries@mylawyerinspain.com and we can send you some info.

    Do you have to become a Spanish Tax Resident to obtain the non-lucrative Visa? Our plan was to get Golden Visa and live in Spain for 180 days and keep our US tax residency and a US home.

      Yes you can do that ! Hurry though because the GV program is being withdrawn.

      Doesn’t the non lucrative visa also work in this situation ? That would remove the need to act quickly for a GV

    • @MyLawyerInSpain
      @MyLawyerInSpain  5 месяцев назад

      @@mackafra if you do not want to work in Spain or elsewhere then the NLV would be appropriate. The GV allows you to live and work in Spain whereas the NLV does not.

    Hi, thanks for this information…my wife and I live in the UK. I hold an Irish passport and looking to retire on a private pension in Spain…do I still need to apply for a non lucrative visa?

      You can apply for residency here using your Irish passport and your wife can piggyback on your residency.

    I'm a 68 1/2 year old single-(divorced since 2016) retired IBEW Journeyman Electrician here in Honolulu. My SSA and draw down pensions equal $3,513.00 EU that's minus $174.00 (Medicare Part A,B,C,D) through my union.
    I'm planning to move to Spain March1, 2025
    Two things:
    1.If I take a job now with the H.P.D. as a traffic ticket clerk until I get my visa will that disqualify me as being retired?
    2.There seems to be no Consulate in Hawaii is it necessary to go to a Consulate (which one?)
