Super Easy Tombstone Lettering For Halloween
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 13 май 2016
- I came up with a new way of transferring letters to your tombstones that is super easy and super quick!! After trying every other technique out there I knew there had to be a better way!!
This is the best process I have come across. Been using it for a few years now. Thanks for sharing your technique.
Winner! Beats the iron method... and beats the stipple method! Thank you. So simple yet so smart. Be well!
Thanks so much! Hope this makes life easier for everyone haha
So glad I came across this. I used vinyl lettering I cut out from a silhouette. Its awesome as you can pick whatever font and sticks very well to foam. Downside, rain and sun will eventually mess it up after couple years on display. Thanks for sharing!
Where the hell was this 2 years ago when I had to do 25 of the damn things?!? Pretty cool tip!
I'm a bit late to this party lol, but thank you for this video! There are a number of great tombstone tutorials, but your method for lettering was bar far the easiest (for me, anyway.) =D Banged out 2 tombstone epitaphs and onto a 3rd!
awesome! so glad to hear that !!
Brilliant. Way less expensive than creating stencils with Cricut vinyl .
So obvious. I missed thinking of this technique. Genius, thanks for sharing
Who would've thought, something as easy as using a glue stick. Nice, thanks for sharing.
I think this is going to work better than the spray adhesive spray. Thank you so much for the video!!
This is so smart! You can even print in gray to use less ink. Where did you buy your router attachment? I bought a dremmel but it didn’t come with one. Thank you!
Great technique! I too couldn't help but notice the rats, so looking forward to that video.
Brilliant!! Thanks for taking the time to create this video!
Extremely helpful. Thank you. If you wanted to use a wire foam cutter I guess that wouldn't work but a drommel yes!
that's freakn awesome man.. that makes carving way easier
You can also use spray adhesives do the same. Works really well. cool different way with the glue stick
I was originally going to use a spray adhesive but wasn't sure if it would wipe off with a wet rag? I have an industrial spray one I know for sure won't ever come off haha
Not sure if you have hard about this, but when you spray the stencil with spray adhesive, wait for it to dry to tacky, then you should be able to remove the stencil without tearing...hopefully.
Use Krylon Easy-Tack repositionable adhesive. I use that on mine! www.michaels.com/krylon-easy-tack-repositionable-adhesive/10173876.html
Everyone gonna be asking where was this before I did all that carving! Great solution gonna try it .
Omg thank goodness for this since I have to do 20 of these
Definitely going to try this!!
wondering what size you recommend when drilling into with the letters with the rotary attachment
Great how-to! Thanks!
Looks perfect!
Nice work. I couldn't help notice the rats ... sweet.
What a great idea!!
Thanks!
Great how to video, thanks.
Thanks for a great video and was after a cemetery font. Any tips if you don’t have a router? I have liked and subscribed to your channel.
Thanks!!! you could do this by hand with a sharp knife like a hobby knife but it would for sure take awhile but I know people do it.
Nice to know, thanks for sharing
Great work, damn you have a steady hand! lol
+MadCity Haunt Thanks! haha that is by far the hardest part not letting the dremel go all over the place!
+Eerie Acres Cemetery Keep it up man, looks killer! I likedyour choice in fonts. Can't wait to see it all finished up!
Great Tip! What font is that?
Thanks! I think its called Ravencraft???
That was cool!
Thanks!
very cool
very cool my friend very cool !! HFL!!
what kind of fonts do you use ?
What bit did you use in your Dremel tool?
I was using the rotary plunge cutter bit its the one that comes with the rotary adapter
Very cool! Keep up the great work! My concern is with very delicate lettering... It looks like you could snap off some of the delicate parts of the letters with the rubbing of the rag... Have you tried this technique with small, delicate lettering?
+Dan Pitchford Nothing too small but if you let the wet rag sit on the paper for a few minutes it will come right off with virtually no scrubbing needed other than a gentle wipe across the front
+Eerie Acres Cemetery thank you! I may have to give it a try... I usually do the cutting of the letters with the Xacto knife and then Dremel that out... This way would save me that step!
Love it !!! ☠️
Are you able to share the name of that font looks really good
I believe its called Ravenscroft its a really awesome font for halloween stuff!
So the big secret is a gluestick, facinating
this may have been shown in another one of your videos, however, where do you find this kind of foam?
I get my foam from Lowes most hardware stores depending on where you live should have the foam in either pink or blue in various thicknesses
If you are hand carving with exacto rather than dremmel will the paper come off?
No the paper should stay on just fine even when using an exacto
Besides the lettering is there a site/s where you can print halloween images i.e. skulls, etc?
Your best bet would be to do an image search for things like skull vector or halloween vector be sure to use the word vector to get simple black and white diagrams that would transfer easy to carving
@@EerieAcresCemetery thank you so much. I saw people try to draw things on a tombstone, but that's not my forte.
Can you use a cricut machine for this type of projects?
I suppose you could a cricut machine to make stencils I have seen people do that but I have not tried it myself
thanks so much
Just water spray it and peel off the paper.
i love this tombstone but what kind of Font was used i can't seem to find that on microsoft word anyone?
I download most of my fonts from free font websites I cant remember the exact name of this one I think it has the word crown in it?
@@EerieAcresCemetery hey i know this is 10 months late but thanks i'll check out some sites and see what i can find!
Was is this i wonder? www.myfonts.com/tags/crown/

What just happened???
We're missing the PART where you show us HOW you CUT out the LETTERS!!!
Why did you Jump Cut that part...??
I am very new to all of this... so it would have been great to WATCH you cut out the letters... sad
@@judichristopher4604 sorry about that most people including myself use a dremel with the router attachment to cut letters out of the foam. you can see my dremel and attachment that i use in the video just past the 4:23 mark
@@EerieAcresCemetery
What is a Dremel?
SEE my point... We need to SEE and Hear you explain what you're doing...
We can't look at your head and know what you're thinking... LOL
or if this is Just a video showing and not a DIY then I understand.
Don't assume just because you have an instrument in your hand... we know what it is and how to use it.
That is like someone with a paint brush in their hands... OKAY... but that doesn't mean we know what you're doing or how to do it.
This is a GREAT Video...
Just want to KNOW how you do what you do...
Thank you
Carbon paper for me.
