Yeah, stealth only works from a distance. Once that perimeter is breached stealth is hindered. Even worse ship radar is stronger and with no structure and flat sea's the distance is even further. The whole idea of stealth is taking out threats before this perimeter is breached and never be seen. The F22 can handle this breach, the F35 not so much.

Seems like an interesting doctrine. Multirole stealth aircraft causing confusion around a target while a hypersonic stealth aircraft carrying main payload towards target staying out of harms way.

I love the F-22 so much, and she looks so beautiful in that capri sun skin. That mission was a rush. That AWACS crew; what a way to go... Rolled over just after takeoff and no chance to bail out. That was a nasty crash.
I remember an old Buck Rogers TV episode (yes, a long, LONG time ago) where the villain was a telekinetic and had jammed the controls of Rogers' starfighter while he zeroed in for the kill. Buck frantically calls for someone to distract the villain, and Rogers' wingman rolls in and vaporizes the villain's fighter. Distracted...neutralized...disabled ...yes.
I thought the same but honestly even if it had a modeled cockpit and everything it would basically just be him flying in a really high and fast straight line. Maybe with a slowdown, dip into atmosphere, and back up again. Cool in a sense but maybe not great for entertainment.
The glowing red hot metal of the Darkstars airframe looks so menacing. The sheer scare factor from that alone probably gave anyone lucky enough to see it chills...that is if they can even see it
@@teeanahera8949 That is true. But I think the only time the airframe is glowing red is when it's like 80 k feet in the air so I don't think Infrared Signature will pop up. Maybe it will but I don't think the enemy will notice them because the SR-72 is going to be used with another aircraft or some sort of diversion. IDK how it works exactly. just really high cruising height

Everything in this mission was awesome!!! The SR72 flying on the edge of the atmosphere glowing red hot, the unrestricted climb after take off, the crazy hard turn to defeat the russian missile, the B2 casually dropping his deadly payload, every each detail was just perfect 😙🤌 (KISS CHEF)

DCS needs to work some more on their engine. First GS used the F-22 almost as a speedboat and yet the water was not disturbed and then a truck went through the Su-57's wing like a ghost.
It's hard to decide which is more far fetched... an SR-72 delivering a cruise missile strike or the Russians delivering a squadron of functional SU-57's. I think I'll call both things equally unlikely.
