@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT I can understand why King wanted to make it a feature film, while he was still alive. It was a great story. I personally much prefer the TV mini-series. I liked the cast a lot better. Obviously the CGI for the film was much better, but that ensemble cast for the TV mini-series, especially Tim Curry, was A-MAZING! The cast for the movie was ok. There were a couple of standouts, including Bill Hader, and that red-hair teenage girl. And the new Pennywise was good. But I did not think he was anywhere near as good as Tim Curry. But I'm probably biased. Not everyone has to have the same tastes in art and/or appreciate the same things. I thought both movies were great, but I did much prefer the TV mini-series.
His video game voiceover work was hilarious. You could tell he wasn't taking it seriously at all and that actually made it all the more campy and charming.
Red Alert 3??? I cant find any comments mentioning his performance in that game. I never played it but Bricky did a review and while watching Tim Curry had me in stitches with his delivery of just one word. "SPACE"
@@bethkrager6529 Word! And not over-played. I didn't realise there was anything to Rendon Howe until later I was reading on the wiki. He played it excellently.
I mean, Rocky Horror doesn't really start until Curry's solo..... his whole face and the way he uses it , it's truly amazing. His voice is the cherry on top. I can't tell you how many times I've watched clue.... over and over and over and it's his performance that always kept me coming back to watch "just one more time"..... when he reenacts all the crimes 🤣 "well I had to stop her from screaming....."
Tim is one of my artistic heroes. No matter how good or how poor the overall project is, he brings the maximum enthusiasm, energy and charisma to every role. Truly, someone who can inspire us all to give 110%.
Hearing just how much Curry enjoyed working on 'Muppets Treasure Island' makes me so happy! Not only was it one of my childhood favs, but speaking as someone who's also read the book; he should be proud too! His portrayal of Silver is the closest I've seen to maching the description. But I love everything he's done! We miss ya, buddy! =)
This better have his Oscar-worthy performance in C&C Red Alert in it. The fact he absolutely took the piss the whole time and they used it all says it all. His delivery of SSSSPPPPAACCCEE still cracks me up, all those years later. On par with his "antici............pation" in Rocky Horror Picture Show for me.
I first saw him in Legend, probably on HBO in the 80’s. I was just a kid but man that Devil role captivated me. I liked him more than Tom Cruise. Haven’t seen his more obscure films, but I’m so grateful for the hits. He’s a standout actor that’s so good any attempts at remaking Clue are too difficult because they can’t find anyone to match his performance. Thank you, Tim.
Thank you for this, I grew up with his movies and feel like he's one of the greatest actors and it needs to be seen by everyone!!! This video made me so happy, a little sad and very nostalgic!!! Great work, you got a new sub out of me!!
Had the pleasure of meeting him in the late 80's, when I was in college (after a performance of "Me & My Girl, in which he was fantastic, of course). He was very sweet to my friends and I. About 10 years later, my husband and I had just moved into a new place in Los Angeles and decided to go for a walk and check out the neighborhood. We walked into the local bookstore and there was Tim Curry, reading aloud from "A Wrinkle in Time". 🥰 BTW, if you can get your hands (or, well, ears) on a copy of "The Wordsmiths at Gordsmere" it's well worth a listen. It was produced for BBC Radio 4 a number of years ago, and it's a lot of fun. TC is part of an amazing cast.
Long John Silver was Tim's favorite role? That's such a pleasant surprise, it's my favorite role of his too! Long John does dastardly things, but he's still a human, and there's a heart under all of that greed for gold. Listening to him speak, sing, do anything in that movie still makes me smile.
A big hero of mine. I've been to The Rocky Horror Picture Show over 200 times, and I'll be going tomorrow night. You're the only other person I've ever known to gush about the guy as much as I do. Great video.
When I FINALLY had the pleasure of meeting him a few years ago.... all I did was cry. I discovered him in a time before the internet, so if you had been lucky to be watching something on t.v at the right time it was a true discovery. ( Clue,Times Square,Furn Gully,Oscar,Annie,Legend) then I realized his voice is fantastic and looked him up at a record store and found his cassette tapes. He truly is so AMAZING ❤️🥰❤️
I'm on the autism spectrum and Tim Curry is one of my interests. That means I know a lot about a particular subject and this vid was very very good. Must be difficult to fit this man's career so far in less than 19 mins. Respect x
Sometimes we say about an actor "I could watch him read the phone book". This is Tim Curry for me. I genuinely loved Oscar, watched every episode of Earth2, and am bitterly disappointed we did not get to see Tim Curry and Daryl Hannah's Gomez and Morticia in a well written show, or a worthy Addams Family 3 film. JoBlo truly did the man justice in this fantastic video, and I'm impressed they even mentioned stuff like his fantastic trio of albums, and less known work like Time Square, a true cult classic.
Tim Curry is so underrated , he 's done so many genres like musicals (rocky horror picture shows Annie )drama (Kinsey )comedy (clue , home alone sequel) cartoons (the wild Thunderberrys ).
Tim Curry is an absolute legend, an icon, a beam of light in a dark world. He is my all-time favourite actor. And CLUE is my all-time favourite movie! :)
How could you, I mean how the heck could you miss Tim Curry's performance in Red Alert 3. It is so funny and so iconic that I can not believe you missed it
I first saw him in Muppet treasure island. Then absolute shocked to find out he was the devil in Legend and cemented in my mind him as the best villain as Pennywise. He’s never not killed it as every single role.

My first time seeing him in a film was home alone 2 as well, but I loved his singing in Ferngully. Loved that cartoon as a kid and even through the monster was scary I would rewind and listen to the ‘toxic love’ song so many times.
I‘ve heard that he recorded a version of ‚Summer in the City‘ and I think his voice would be perfect for it - can‘t find it anywhere. Would love to hear it!

How did you not cover "The Worst Witch" in which he is seen by a bunch of prepubescent girls, including Fairuza Balk, as a heartthrob warlock? But seriously, glad to see him covered as I have always had a fondess for him.
Oh, wow. I totally forgot about the worst witch! I LOVED that movie as a kid. I'm almost scared to watch it again because I remember the effects were really awful

You forgot his voice as the mouse king in Barbie and the Nutcracker (the BEST part of that movie) Tim is one of the best actors of the past 50 years. His voice is iconic and his performances are so memorable ❤️❤️
I love Tim Curry. I'm so happy to know that Muppet Treasure Island is his favorite movie he's been in, because it's mine as well. He was also, in my opinion, one of the most terrifying killers on Criminal Minds. I don't remember many of them specifically, but I remember him. What a great actor!
I fell in love with Tim Curry after seeing Rock Horror. He is a great actor and his voice is hypnotic! Incredibly versatile in all of his various roles.
Well I'm sorry that he had a stroke, and I hope that he gets better. He's easily one of the most talented actors of his generation. Last thing I saw him in was as episode of 'Criminal Minds' and he was truly diabolical. He's too big a talent for TV. He should be in movies. But I'm grateful for any performance of his I'm lucky enough to see.
Annie, Home Alone 2, and Ferngully were my introduction to Tim Curry. Once I got older, I discovered a whole bunch more. He's got quite the list of accomplishments. Edit: Can't believe I forgot about Muppet Treasure Island!
This was excellent! Thank you for producing this wonderful short about one of my all time favorite actors! I think he will always be iconic in everything. I will always love his work, and think of him in the most magnificent ways.
I always enjoy Tim Curry's performances, even if I'm not a fan of all the movies he's in. He's always fascinating to watch, unique, and highly memorable.
By the time I was 12 years old I had already seen rocky half a dozen times in theaters. To this day Tim Curry is in the handful of my favorite male vocalists.
So sad to hear Tim Curry had a stroke and is wheelchair bound. I've been a fan of his work since I was a kid and didn't know about this. He truly is a one of a kind talent that will be remembered forever.
Love how well your work was throughout the video without leaving Tim Curry look an underrated actor for the next generation to come. The presentation was wonderful and well executed coming from me as a dear fan of Tim Curry work.
Cannot say enough about Tim Curry ❣️ Look up the 1974 movie Schmoedipus! And his voicing of the 13 books of A Series of Unfortunate Events! Pure genius!!!
It was a right of passage when I was growing up in the 70's to go see The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I was at one of those late night screenings and yes, toast was thrown at the screen.
Agreed! 'Squirt gun, toast, rice, and a newspaper. All bags were checked at the door of the Rialto--we had a friend who would roll his eyes and let us through. We danced the Time Warp in the aisles and knew all of the responses. A lot of people brought umbrellas. 😂😂😂
Is there anyone alive who doenst instantly love Tim Curry's acting when they see it.. He had a small part in LEXX back in the late 90's and was amazing in that, I think he was playing a pre-recorded hologram, and it was still brilliant
You forgot an important early TV series Tim Curry guest starred in. Wiseguy featured him as a record producer in competition against Paul Winfield. They played well against each other.
Back in 1982, I saw Rocky Horror for the first time. I didn't get it the first time but countless times after, I did. I still enjoy the movie today, I even sat with my teenage kids as they watched for the first time. Tim Curry will always be a part of my history. His ability to do something never done before..........wow. Love you Tim!
Wow Tim Curry is the quintessential entertainer. Singer, dancer, voice actor, theater actor, TV actor, movie actor, the list just goes on and on. Tim brought so many different types of characters to life with his abundant talent and creativity. Thank you Tim for the wonderful memories and the great entertainment. ☺️👍
You know you have a good actor or actress when you either. Love the character and you forget that somebody's playing that character or you hate that character and you forget who's playing it. I've seen him in several movies and loved everything he's ever done. He's always brought his roles to life. Made them part of whatever he was a part of. Whether it was a movie TV show. There were a few others that could make you hate a character so much that you forget that person is playing that character and it's not that you don't like the actor or actress. They're just so good at what they do. They bring that character to life. They bring their essence to your forward. You forget somebody's playing that character. There's a lot of lot of actors that will be missed and he is one of them even though he's still alive and I'm any of the others are still alive but we get to all get to an age where what we used to do is not something we can do anymore and I hope the best for him and his family
Wanna really have fun listening to Mr. Curry go to town as a voice actor? Try a little gem called PETER PAN AND THE PIRATES! He practically steals the show giving voice to Captain James Hook. Yup, performances so mesmerizing, he earned a Daytime Emmy for his role in the animated series back in 1991!
He certainly did make an impact! I love his albums. Simplicity is wonderful. And I have to say that his most important film to me will always be Times Square. That's the Timmeh cult I'm in. Those of us who found that movie in its original release were truly changed by it. My favorite performance is Wadsworth in Clue. He swiped that flick out from under everyone else in it. And I absolutely adore Pass The Ammo. It's hilarious and deserved a much bigger audience. Another highlight of his career for me was his audiobook reading of Anne Rice's Cry To Heaven. It's incredible. If you're a fan and you've never listened to it, find it. Not kidding. You can thank me later.
He played Dr. Frankenstein in an adventure, Myst-like video game. It was called _Frankenstein: Through the Eyes of the Monster._ It was one of those point-and-click deals. I bet you can find a play-through right here on RUclips. He did a good job on it, and had some funny lines. The game consisted of digitized video of him, not just his voice.

Love him as hexus!
The original Gabriel Knight!
Rendon Howe in Dragon Age: Origins is a delight! The kind of secondary villain you adore to hate.
I didn't see it mentioned at all. I was looking for it. They dropped the ball there.

This was a very lovely love letter to one of my idols. Thanks for putting it together!
I 💩 my pants as a kid when I saw TC as the Lord of Darkness in Legend😬
BTW, if you can get your hands (or, well, ears) on a copy of "The Wordsmiths at Gordsmere" it's well worth a listen.
The men, the voice, the actor. I wish Tim Curry never stop he is great.
Respect x
Thank you for reminding me what an amazing talent Tim Curry is. Once in a lifetime performer. Truly in a league of his own.
@Message Tellegram App👉JoBloOriginals 👈 he had a stroke
Tim Curry is one of the best actors of all time. He doesn't get enough praise. I've never seen a bad performance out of him.
What a lovely, affectionate and entertaining tribute to Mr Curry. Nice one guys! Hugely enjoyable and sweet.
I appreciate this video so much. Tim Curry is truly a global gem. You have now earned a new sub. Great job!
Tim Curry is an absolute legend, an icon, a beam of light in a dark world. He is my all-time favourite actor.
And CLUE is my all-time favourite movie! :)
Agreed, "Clue" is an excellent film!
👏👏👏
😁👏👏👏🤘🤘
"Will you stop that?!?"
..."no."
HE IS A LEGEND AND MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIE OF HIS IS....LEGEND!
He steals any play, tv show or movie… he has ‘it’…. He even gives tv sit com appearances a 10/10…. He’s irreplaceable and unforgettable ♥️💋

My first time seeing him in a film was home alone 2 as well, but I loved his singing in Ferngully. Loved that cartoon as a kid and even through the monster was scary I would rewind and listen to the ‘toxic love’ song so many times.
A voice to die for, a magnificent actor, a very attractive man in every way. I absolutely adore Tim Curry. Long John Silver is my favorite.
I‘ve heard that he recorded a version of ‚Summer in the City‘ and I think his voice would be perfect for it - can‘t find it anywhere. Would love to hear it!

One of the most gifted and brilliant actors of his generation.
@@Callizto843 Anything cann happen on Halloween! It's certainly a product of its time but I watched it a few years and ago and the nostalgia kick was enough for me to enjoy it and Curry's performance is still faboolous!
The Worst Witch is a sensational film, and that’s when I developed a huge crush on him!
The wizard Trymon in "The Color of Magic" is my favorite evil-Tim Curry character role.
The wizard Trymon in "The Color of Magic" is my favorite evil-Tim Curry character role.
You forgot his voice as the mouse king in Barbie and the Nutcracker (the BEST part of that movie)
Tim is one of the best actors of the past 50 years. His voice is iconic and his performances are so memorable ❤️❤️
i remember his voice from Fern ully where he had the part of Nexus.
You forgot one of my favorite roles by him! He plays the cat king in Cat Returns, an amazing Studio Ghibli film. I love Tim Curry, and always will 💗
Amazing?
I love Tim Curry. I'm so happy to know that Muppet Treasure Island is his favorite movie he's been in, because it's mine as well. He was also, in my opinion, one of the most terrifying killers on Criminal Minds. I don't remember many of them specifically, but I remember him. What a great actor!
I've always loved how he says,"by the way" when he says those three words is just amazing
I remember that episode! He was evil incarnate. That was such a disturbing role, but as always, he nailed it. He really can play just about anything!!
One of my favorite performances of Tim Curry"s was a movie I used to watch when I was a child called Worst Witch. His singing in it was amazing.
By the time I was 12 years old I had already seen rocky half a dozen times in theaters. To this day Tim Curry is in the handful of my favorite male vocalists.
Amazing actor... unforgettable characters... wonderful voice... the one and only Tim Curry!
Everything he did and do, he turns in something magic!
He also did the the voice of Gabriel Knight in the 1st Gabriel Knight game and the 3rd game. He makes this character come to life! 😁
Always loved Tim but I never thought of summarizing his carrier! Simply amazing! Another great video Jo! Keep em coming! :D
So sad to hear Tim Curry had a stroke and is wheelchair bound. I've been a fan of his work since I was a kid and didn't know about this. He truly is a one of a kind talent that will be remembered forever.
This man played such an integral role in my youth. Love and appreciate you very much Mr. Curry❤
Hey, thanks for doing this Tim Curry video. It was both a informative and a tribute to the man.
You forgot he also played premier Cherdenko in C&C Red Alert 3 , one of his best performances
His performance in Criminal Minds was excellent!!! Also, Psych was terrific!!!
Besides IT, to me, his character Congo was brilliant and made that movie way more entertaining and memorable than it'd otherwise be.
So glad this popped up in my recommendation tab, what a lovely video 💜
Wow Tim Curry is the quintessential entertainer. Singer, dancer, voice actor, theater actor, TV actor, movie actor, the list just goes on and on. Tim brought so many different types of characters to life with his abundant talent and creativity. Thank you Tim for the wonderful memories and the great entertainment. ☺️👍
There wasn’t a theater production of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. The play is called “The Rocky Horror Show”.
I once knew Tim. He would always come into the video store I managed. Great guy. A real person.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen an actor with as much versatility as Tim Curry! What an icon!!
How the hell did you manage to put together this video and not mention his work on Red Alert? It's the BEST
Legend blew me away as a kid, it's such a great dark fantasy movie. (Tangerine Dream soundtrack version is the only way to experience it btw)
Absolutely one of the most underrated actors of our time! Thank you for especially being such a large part of my 20s. Stay strong good sir.😊
An absolute legend and treasure! I've loved him since I was 7
Wanna really have fun listening to Mr.
He should really get an honorary oscar award, he have NEVER done a bad role (only been in bad productions)
This dude and Bill Paxton's range are legendary.
Tim is one of my fave all time actors. He has that touch of class you just dont see anymore.
One of the goofiest and (sadly extreamly boring) games I've ever played. Im a huge Tim fan, and I have the game physically, its such a dumb game you cant help but love it. its sad this guy didn't bring it up here, because Tim curry poured his HEART into that goofy little point-and-click.
he was so funny in Loaded weapon 1, Scary movie 2 and IT
One of my favourite actors ❤ I'll never forget my Rocky Horror obsession when I was 14. I watched it everyday for months....until Monty Python entered my life 😂

Thnx for this tribute... I'm such a fan of this actor. Whatever the role: I can't take my eyes off this man for fear of missing a moment. Flawless Entertainer
I have a rule when it comes to film criticism.
Any film that has Tim Curry in it can not necessary be a bad film.
Always enjoy these videos. “Clue” was on the other night and, while watching it, I had wondered what Tim has been up to lately. I must’ve missed or forgot that he had a stroke back in 2012!!! I’m glad he’s still doing work. He did voice work in one of my favorite video games, “Dragon Age: Origins” as Arl Rendon Howe…who was a villain 😏
