Tim Curry unfortunately will leave us one day without ever getting an oscar nomination. I always put him on par with the late and great Alan Rickman; who also left without ever getting a single oscar nomination. Criminally underrated actors indeed😢

One thing I can say about Tim Curry is he never disappoints. Even if he's in a crappy movie, he's always on his game. He's not in many crappy movies, but he elevates the very few he's in. Don't ever worry about Tim losing his sparkle; his trauma doesn't define him. You'd be amazed at how many people think Tim is a retired celebrity with his talent worn-out, heading out to pasture because he can't walk nor dance like he used to. It's not that hard to figure out he's a person that deserves respect and not unreasonable assumptions because of his career. I once had the pleasure to see Tim Curry in person, though I didn't meet him personally, during his filming of Psych. It was in this big theater in a casino in Coquitlam, British Columbia and during the periods between filming where they were setting up things like the lights and stage, he was there, on stage, doing an impromptu Q&A with the audience, and the incredible charisma of Tim Curry held the entire audience like we were under a spell, and in a way we were.
Many years later after his stroke, I recall seeing a video clip of Tim Curry at a relatively recent Fan Convention where he was answering questions regarding his performance in "It" and even after his stroke, it was so clear his wit, charm and charisma were still there, and he was still easily able to charm the crowd despite his post-stroke condition.
He's such an international treasure and a gift to the arts.

@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT I can understand why King wanted to make it a feature film, while he was still alive. It was a great story. I personally much prefer the TV mini-series. I liked the cast a lot better. Obviously the CGI for the film was much better, but that ensemble cast for the TV mini-series, especially Tim Curry, was A-MAZING! The cast for the movie was ok. There were a couple of standouts, including Bill Hader, and that red-hair teenage girl. And the new Pennywise was good. But I did not think he was anywhere near as good as Tim Curry. But I'm probably biased. Not everyone has to have the same tastes in art and/or appreciate the same things. I thought both movies were great, but I did much prefer the TV mini-series.

You know you have a good actor or actress when you either. Love the character and you forget that somebody's playing that character or you hate that character and you forget who's playing it. I've seen him in several movies and loved everything he's ever done. He's always brought his roles to life. Made them part of whatever he was a part of. Whether it was a movie TV show. There were a few others that could make you hate a character so much that you forget that person is playing that character and it's not that you don't like the actor or actress. They're just so good at what they do. They bring that character to life. They bring their essence to your forward. You forget somebody's playing that character. There's a lot of lot of actors that will be missed and he is one of them even though he's still alive and I'm any of the others are still alive but we get to all get to an age where what we used to do is not something we can do anymore and I hope the best for him and his family

He certainly did make an impact! I love his albums. Simplicity is wonderful. And I have to say that his most important film to me will always be Times Square. That's the Timmeh cult I'm in. Those of us who found that movie in its original release were truly changed by it. My favorite performance is Wadsworth in Clue. He swiped that flick out from under everyone else in it. And I absolutely adore Pass The Ammo. It's hilarious and deserved a much bigger audience. Another highlight of his career for me was his audiobook reading of Anne Rice's Cry To Heaven.
