As much as I love the Returns suit this feels more appropriate for Tom's Superman. After all the times he wore the Superman colors just to give him a suit with completely different reds.

So many connections were made between Reeve's Superman movies and Smallville!!! Several actors who were in the original Superman films would appear on Smallville, connecting the two universes in the Superman mythos. When I first saw the Pilot, I thought Tom was Chris, Spitting image. His mannerisms are spot on. Sure, he makes his Clark his own, but as the show progressed, he started to take on the bumbling Clark Kent, stammering over his words, and even though he didn''t actually wear the tights, Tom still portrayed Superman in his performance, Playing two characters rolled into one. Chris would be proud. Simply put................ Superman has returned!
You should watch it if you get the chance, you might like it. Christopher appeared in one of the episodes as well, there's a clip of it on RUclips. Search "Smallville Christopher Reeve" and you should be able to find it.
@@Croweyes1121 I think it definitely enhanced the scene and gave it a little more of a nostalgic kick to it. Idk why but I like when TV adaptations of Superheroes make them a sorta composite version of said hero and add in different aspects of different versions of the hero.
Crazy part was I envisioned the finale ending just like this years before it premiered. If we were never going to see Tom Welling in the Superman costume, they'd at least have to end the series with him changing into Superman with John Williams' iconic Superman theme at the end. The special effects of the credits were epic.
