Strangely, I shown her performance to my parents, they both don't really watch Eurovision and that's fine. But my dad said the exact same things you said "she probably gets things thrown at her about being disabled and she finally has a chance to shine, so why not? carpe diem."
It's one the most pleasant ballads of this decade. It makes you feel something unlike the other ballads. Much better than "What if" and "A million voices"
I completely respect Julia as a person and an artist, but when it comes to the song i can only think of San Marino's song in 2015, which was just as cloyingly sweet and over the top. And it got what it deserved, so why think differently about this song? The whole package would have been so much more convincing if she had a better song, that was worthy a spot in the final - now she will probably get a final spot from someone much more worthy of it, just because she's disabled which isn't fair. I think that if you respect her enough you won't judge her or the performance differently than all the others - and this includes the song and her vocal (i'm still not convinced about it, even though i've heard her Molitva-performance).
This song was a complete surprise for me. The song is not heard before, and I was amazed at how she is in control of the song. The song builds up well, there is a total feel to the song, an optimism, and it gives a direction. For me this year she fits in where songs with a deeper meaning are, like Australia, Ireland, Finland, UK and Denmark. A message gets through well, this is a time for tears, tears of gladness and happiness.
I totally respect Russia for sending her as an artist and I agree with what they say about how it celebrates diversity so top marks for that. Also I would like to say Russia are one of my favourite countries in the contest and I look forward to their entries each year. I'm just not a massive fan of the song this year, however, I have no doubts it will qualify and do well in the final
I was waiting a little more drive from her in this song. Maybe in live it should be more expressive ? She is a rock star , actually! It fells like the same situation like with Polina Gagarina - in live it was 1000 times better! And I am proud of Julia! My vote will go to her, without a doubt!
Hmmm I really like this song, I liked it from day one actually but I hate how biased people get with Russia... either against it or in favor. Come on, it's totally fine to criticize a song/performance and still like/support it, as well as it's fine to give props even when you don't like it. On a final note, people with disabilities are not dumb people, they are stronger than most of us and they can handle criticism. Respecting them is also treating them equally, no need to lie to "make them feel better".
I don't know why there is such a hate against Russia's song. In my opinion this is one of the more strong ballads this year and I think it will reach a higher score. It surely won't win but that's not even Russia's goal. I think Russia made the right decision with sending her. Thank you for the great reaction video! :)
Thanks for this comment, both of you. I'm Russian and i find this song not good enough. It doesn't matter though, as Ukraine banned her from contesting. Our management decided that she will go to next Eurovision though. So i hope we will see her singing better one next year. Cheers.
No, it's because of politics. Ukraine would ban anybody from Russia. Also, there would be provocations and problems. ESC is all about politics now, since Jamala won with her political song.
I'm a huge fan of this entry. Musically I agree it's dated and not necessarily my favourite genre but I do find it a very sweet song and isn't that what this contest is about, showing different musical styles and not just identikit Swedish pop? Also being disabled myself to me Yulia is truly inspirational. I am so excited to see an entry this year that ticks the boxes of diversity in not only song choice but artist.
Great review WiwiBloggs! I realy love that you support our performer this year despite whatever political staff is going on. And for all the haters posting comments that this song is horrible and bla bla - I literaly think that by saying "horrible" song they want to say "I hate Russia". Cause let's be honest - this year - most of the songs are completely boring ballands of avarege production and kinda typical Eurovision performers... Yeah, this one is not the best russian song at Eurovision, but i still believe it won't only make the final but also can be in top 5-10 (if Ukraine allows Russia participate at all of cause...) And listened to all the songs by now, I think top 5 this year actualy might be quite close to what we saw in 2015: Italy, Sweden, Russiam Belgium and probably Autralia. :)
I'm happy because her dream comes true. Let's be honest, this contest can't make everyone happy. And if it can do something good for one person it's already a success, isn't it?
It was her dream! Let her sing as good as she can. I love her and I want her to win. Strong message. Strong woman. Strong human. Lots of kisses from New York!
I like this song, it sound like the Russian songs I grew up with and it's celebrating diversity. If I should remind you that back in 2015 when Russia send Polina Gagarina and all the comments on RUclips were hateful comments but she came in 2nd overall. I really hope Julia do good and touch other lives by her performance.
News just out - Ukraine has barred her from entering the country due to her illegal visit to the occupied territory of Crimea in 2015 and her vocal support for the annexation of the peninsula.
C'mon guys! You gotta be kidding me. Ireland is not good enough ( I don't even like Ireland's that much) and this is epic? You almost didn't talk about the song! I don't care she uses a wheelchair, I don't care if she's Russian, all I care about is music. It's a song contest, for God's sake! She struggles to sing, she's out of tune the entire song, her English is horrible and the song is dated as hell. Russia just selected her just to victimize themselves and avoid boing. If the contest were held in another country she wouldn't be even participating this year.
As we say in the video and in other comments, Eurovision isn't just about the song. If that were the case, why have staging, etc.? We judge this in the round and factors outside of the song elevate it. Music at Eurovision isn't just about the ears, but also the eyes and the heart.
wiwibloggs It's totally fair you are moved or something by this entry. What I mean (I don't wanna sound rude) musically this is nothing to do at the ESC. It's surprising how harsh and demanding you are with other entries. I think you set double standards here, but ok, that's fine, music is about emotions. But maybe I expected a little bit more objectivity in this one. Sorry :/
@ wiwibloggs It truly is. That's why Jamala won last year with 1944. I really liked her song without any staging whatsoever but when she was on the stage...the graphics, the tree, her stage presence, and they way she sung it brought her the victory on a very sad topic. Eurovision is so much more than a song because we are dealing with countries!...and even if it is not supposed to be "political" or whatever...in this day and age, I think using Eurovision as a platform to discuss issues through music in which everyone can understand is very important.
Eva Ukman she is entering a contest where she is going going to be judged by public and jury. I think she's brave, and due her condition she's doing well. But this is a competition, a contest and I'm gonna treat her the same than the other 42 entries. Sorry. She has one of the worst voices, one of the worst songs and one of the worst stage presence. Period. Russia should fail this year. But if Julia make It to Ukraine, I'm afraid that the political and sympathy voting will save Russia instead a better entry.
Thank you William for shutting down people saying that Julia is being "used" by Russia. I have no patience for people insisting that people who are disabled have no agency of their own. It drives me absolutely up the wall. My issues are 100% with the song. It sounds so dated, and the mix on the vocals doesn't help at all with it either. I have a soft spot for Soviet Era songs, and this doesn't sound Soviet Era, it sound's early 00's and not in anyway that makes me feel nostalgic. It's also a bit flat of a song that doesn't build up to a real climax of any kind. Like musically there are so many things that need tweaking (and they are little things) that I just end up frustrated. The staging is lovely and suits what they have, and who knows live this could be elevated (it would get rid of that weird vocal mixing that's driving me insane because it sounds so stale). But as of right now I'm feeling like this is getting out of the semi-final because it's Russia's entry, and will get in the top 10 (in my head I am seeing somewhere between fiftn and seventh) because it's Russia. And honestly sounding like the 00's is a vibe I'm getting on like 50% of the songs in the contest this year. I just feel like I'm in a time warp listening to music from my middle school years.
I don't want to get into reasons behind this,i just want to support Julia, she is representing everything brave, she gives hope for everyone with same condition. She deserves a chance damn.I can understand Ukraine but cmon it's not her fault.Besides, her cover of 'Molitva'made me cry and reminded me how happy i was when my country won.Go Julia and don't pay attention to bad comments!!!
I really like the way you guys are able to analyze every song from many different perspectives. I appreciate your comments and it also helps us to comprehend and find out more about each song. Thank you for that!
Guys, I love you. But her surname is Sam'oilova, the stress on "O" ^) And "До свидания" is Good bye,you know it, but I feel so funny and good when you try it ^) Keep going and thank you for video.
We got a talented girl, with a beautiful voice, with a big smile in the face and that gives us an message : No matter what are you passing through but you should smile and feel great with what you have. And beyond other ballads, this looks very good. I mean its flat, emotional and makes me feel great but to be realistic I don't think she's gonna make the final ( if she participates).
great energy both of you guys... honest and in the same time with warmth and decency... you talk about a song and you celebrate friendship... in a way that is the reason why most of us subscribe to your channel... well done...
Reading the comments, you understand how many cynical vile people, but many good and kind people. No matter how, there will be justice in the end. In the Eurovision Russia has always sent not the most artful singers, but my vote for Julia.
I definitely agree with Deban. She needs to be assessed on an equal platform. At this point I'm not sold on the song because of the auto tuned vocals. I hope her live vocals will save this song. But I do agree that sending her in is a form of celebrating diversity.
a few days ago she suffered complicated operation on the spine, it lasted 6 hours and she was cut from the head to the tailbone, this operation was necessary, cause she was almost not able to eat, breathe and live a full life. Now she learns to breathe and sing again. In this position it is very difficult to sing and it takes a lot of effort to take notes.
Absolutely love her I think she's such a kind and brave woman and I have nothing but respect for her, I just wish they gave her a better song that showed off what she is capable of.
When I heard this song for the first time, I didn't know that she is disabled. So I think my opinion is objective. This song is very dated, I really don't like it. It's in my 43rd place, not because of Julia (she has a beautiful voice and can sing well), but because of the song, which is really bad imo.
I love the overall concept of the performance and she is endearing BUT the song should be the first thing that matters and while this is GOOD and deserves the final it's not top 10 worthy in my opinion.
The song itself sounds like a tribute to "The Carpenters." Like many musicians, I adored Karen Carpenter's voice, and this song would have been perfect for her. The performance is a bit "still" and "safe" for my liking, but I'm sure that more background will be added to the ESC performance (if we get to see it). Musically I like the song - the orchestration is absolutely perfect. But it needs more presentation to make it a winner.
I love the song. it's very touching. and the WAY she sings makes it even more touching. you listen to the words she sings and you actually believe those words! Seriously. on the other hand she's got to do something with her English prononciation. I guess she doesn't speak it at all. anyway comparing to the other songs this awful year I think it's like in my own top 5. I mean previous year that song wouldn't even be my top 20. you know what I mean. the year is weak.
Ok. The song itself is so dated, just like pretty much everything from Russia. It does feel like a power ballad from the disco era. The inclusion of the disabled community is wonderful, and she obviously is talented and deserves to be there. But the song....oy vey.
Well, it's time for me to finally review this. Before I do I have to say this, this is not hating her, she is a beautiful, brave and amazing woman who deserves respect. Overall her singing will have to be an included in my review, but I think she sings really well, not the best but really good. Now for the review, I like it but it's not my favourite ballad of the year, the emotions that she conveys through her singing and the song itself make me feel both joyful and nostalgic, however compared to the other songs in semi-final and the contest it falls a bit short for me. The staging shown is simple but powerful and effective, so this will really speak to the tele-vote more than the juries which be her downfall. However I believe that she will qualify if her placing isn't horrible or/and her staging is simply beautiful, I hope Russia the best and a job well done.
The song isn't the best,it won't win the semi and certainly not the entire thing, but! It is indearing, it's captivating and her story is really inspirational. Looking past the disability I can say she's smart for taking this opportunity to expand her audience, she'll deffinitely earn more fans from this and that's also great...
After several listens, I still think the guitar in the first chorus needs to go. Haha. But the song is definitely a grower--I find the chorus in my head kinda often now. I agree with Deban too: the vocals sound autotuned, and that kinda lowers the quality of the song. I liked her version of Molitva, so I'm sure she'll do fine in a live arena. Plus she's in the more unpredictable semifinal, so that actually helps her secure a spot for the Final, I think. I don't see this as a strong qualifier though; I actually predict 6th or below, and I'm thinking this'll finish in the middle of the scoreboard come Saturday night.
You guys are totally right, I fell like people aren't giving her enough credit. You know, saying things like " oh poor girl is being used by Russia" when in all reality she grew up disabled in a country where that isn't exactly easy, she's probably one of if not the strongest contestant this year. And when you grow up facing discrimination you don't question opportunities that arise, I'm sure she understands there may be a reason why Russia chose but she doesn't have the luxury to turn it down and wait for a second offer.
My opinion is...if Julia from Russia wins this year, it will not only be another victory for Russia, but also a victory for those who are born disabled, like i am
asdfg no no .....it wasn't a side effect of vaccine..... she has a genetic condition called Spinal muscular Atrophy whose manifestation coincided with the vaccination
yeah "coincided" magically.. she was saying all along that it was the vaccine that caused her condition until recently when it spiked debates over vaccines, now they've changed the story to "genetic condition" as if she was "born this way" and it's no one's fault.... Simple google search will show how many side effects polio vaccine have. Vaccines may cause all sorts of serious issues (including death) but companies never admit it blaming it all on us, it's never their fault, it's always you're born sick. Sorry, I don't mean to argue here with anyone, that's just my personal experience and opinion. :)
I'm really happy for her, as it has been her lifelong dream to participate, and she has come in as ready as ever. However, her disability is irrelevant in this situation, as it is not fair to judge the song in a different way to others just because of it. I personally think she has an amazing voice, but is singing an average song. This does not make me offensive, because I am judging the song only, just like everybody else's. I don't think it is fair to judge her for her disability, but, at the same time, it isn't fair to put her ahead of others on the grounds of her disability, as this is a song competition, and every song should be treated the same way. Still, good luck Julia!
The song is catchy & I like it. I don't care about being "dated"; that is in the ear of the beholder, it means nothing. Deban, you are right, the juries can't be trusted; their treatment of Sergey will not be forgotten. There should never be booing though.
*Wiwi!!! Nota bene!* The transcription of her surname is [sə'mɔiləvə] I mean not SamoylOva, but SamOylova Please, don't mispronounce! With love, your subscriber from Russia
I just feel this song would be better sung in Russian, but it all comes down to the performance on the night, I have her 37th in my top but she can surprise us, remember last year, Belgium were not what people expected to go to the final and she killed it
I actually like this song. Even if it's sent with intention to tone down the booing, so what? It's not the first time a country sends a song with a hidden intent. Enjoy the damn song and her voice, it's awesome. It's a song contest, not a war. To all haters: So much about celebrating diversity.
William would love anything Russia sends :D Lovely! That's a pity Russia didn't manage to win the previous year so Wiwibloggs team could come to Russia.
If Russia has sent Julia because they truly embrace diversity, because they feel compassion for the suffering of disabled people, I would have applauded it. But everybody following the Russian game knows and sees it is just more game. Julia is here, because it will look akward for Ukraine to ban a disabled and frail looking woman from "fullfilling her dream"... Unfortunately, this is part of the manipulation, which coupled with the Russian propaganda people on the internet makes it look as if it works. Not really. If I may quote one great US President: "You may fool all people some of the time or some people all the time, but you cannot fool all people all the time. " And power, games and money are not everything, Mr. Putin.
Comparison with Olympics and Paralympics is not a smart one. Clearly able bodied athletes competing against non-able bodied athletes is not a level playing field. But there's no reason to make that distinction in a song contest. Individuals who think disabled singers should compete in a separate contest can do one.
EVERYTHING'S a gimmick. Whether it's a woman in a wheelchair, a man with a beard, or a good looking man in a suit walking on a treadmill. Sexy legs and skin tight outfits are also gimmicks. Youth is a gimmick. They're just gimmicks we're more accustomed to. ** I feel the same way about Julia as I did about "Shine," too. Both grew on me.
From reliable sources - there is a deeper meaning, that Russia is in wheel-chair this year, the importance of Kiyev ESC much broader and larger than the one could ever imagine, who doesn't know what is and will be actually done with this in Ukraine-Russia and in Europe, extending to US as well.
I agree that choosing her was strategic to antagonise or undermine Ukraine and while I appreciate she is a good singer and represents diversity, I don't think she should be applauded for taking advantage of this opportunity because she has broken Ukrainian law knowingly and should live with the consequences as every other Russian artist who has performed in Crimea should. Ironic that a Crimean Tatar song won last year and Russia sends an artist the following year who supports the annexation.
Armenia only pulled out of Eurovision because Azerbaijan pulled out of their agreement to protect the Armenian singer, and then the Azeri president said "Armenians are our greatest enemies in the We. " We love Eurovision, and we would've competed if we have a choice
I am glad people like the song and she is sending a good message (except the part sending her so people would not boo) but if we are going to be realistic and judge her performances of any song she sang ( not only this song ) she is pretty average. There are more talented and not off- key singers in the competition( from a musician stand of view ) .No T no shade just being real :) All the luck to her and her team anyways :D
Diversity should be celebrated, applause to that but as Deban has recently said himself, judge what you have in front of you. It's a song contest, at best this is average, it shouldn't qualify, but being Russia it most likely will. But keep the videos & discussion coming...
Guys please stop saying that you don't trust in juries. What's wrong with 18 jury teams didn't give points to Russia? 21 jury teams gave zero points to Ukraine Jamala. So what? Is this mean that they judged against Jamala? Shame on you! There are 26 participants in the final but only 10 of them can receive the points from every single jury team. So that is normal if some of jury teams didn't give points to Russia and to Ukraine. I think it's pretty cool that jury can judge sometimes unexpectable. For example I remember somebody gave 12 points to Georgia, isn't it deserved? I think every country should receive at least several points summary from jury, not only top countries . If every jury team had given same points to the same participants we would have had the situation like zero points from public vote to Czech Republic last year. William, what do you think? Would it be good to have a long list of countries with zero points from juries just because all jury teams gave points to the same list of countries? I would rather say that Russia Australia and Ukraine stole count of jury teams (not points but number of voting jury teams) from Poland for example. Guys what do you think? Please leave a comment, thanks
can we recall to 2015 Poland who did go to the final but if I'm correct came like 13th with the Juries and like 4th with the televote. That was Poland and becuase with Russia its always political, I will expect and even lower ranking from the juries like 15th 16th.. it's upsetting. Judging the song alone it's terrible. I personally don't like it, only for the song. Russia I feel are purposely doing this so they can make Ukraine look bad for trying to ban a girl in a wheelchair from going to Eurovision. In my opinion it's not going to the final based on sympathy votes. I think this will be bottom 3 with the Juries and possibly like 7th with the televoters, in a semi final like semi 2 it's forgettable as it's such a basic song.
It's not the wheelchair, it's the circumstances. Someone put it 100 % correct in the comments: "Russia selected her just to victimize themselves and avoid booing." The song is OK, but the whole package is disturbing just because it's an obvious political strategy. Any other year I wouldn't give a damn but now ESC is in Ukraine and Russia is going to send this girl. It makes me feel uneasy. Another thing, how come these disabled artists always sing cute ballads when competing? It would have been so much cooler and more powerful if she'd sung rock, jazz or just any uptempo song. The combination of her and the song is a bit cheesy. Just a thought.
I think that Julia is an absolute diamond of a person, and I do think she is being used for Russia's own cruel reasons: 1. Not to get booed at ESC 2. To give the illusion that Russia as a country is above board. 3. To use sympathy voting to earn them a victory or good placing. This is WRONG in any other year I would be heavily supportive of Julia Samoylova (I still am supportive but, not as much) as I myself am a disabled person. But, I don't think that Julia will progress to the final unfortunately given a variety of factors against her: 1. Anti-Russian feelings within Ukraine and the ESC community. 2. Not the strongest Russian entry 3. Given the semi final she's in it will be a immense struggle
it's now oficially forbiden to Julia to visit Ukrain for the next 3 years. So, no matter if u like her song or not, u're not gonna hear it at the contest. Kinda sucks, i just started to like it(
The song isn't great but honestly I think it will definitely make it to the final. The reason is that this song easily stands out on her semifinal which is the weakest, semi final 2, only Macedonia and Serbia are strong entries, others not so much.
This song is just pure, outdated garbage, there are so many good, contemporary songs this year, like you could really tell that european music is getting more and more modern and on trend and then I hear something like this and I feel like I'm getting back to the times when the contest was an epitome of kitsch and bad taste.
I disagree with the quality artists from Russia / Russia sends good singers. Think about 2009 and 2010! Meow Mamo and 'I'm looking at her picture..' please! My humble opinion folks! I'm a little concerned about Russia's lack of exposure this year and waiting until the last minute to send a song and artist to Kyiv. Last year they went all out and gave 150% I don't see that this year. Good luck to her and Russia.
37 of 43 songs are entirely in English - yeah, diversity indeed 😉. And as you said, obviously autotuned, all standard pop genre and written by Swedes, too 😜.
Awww! You didn't mention her performance IN the paralympic winter games in Sochi 2014. I loved her performance then!
Strangely, I shown her performance to my parents, they both don't really watch Eurovision and that's fine. But my dad said the exact same things you said "she probably gets things thrown at her about being disabled and she finally has a chance to shine, so why not? carpe diem."

I actually prefer this ballad over the other ones. the instruments work for me, it has something nostalgic and I like melancholia.
Maija Poppanen Nostalgia and melancholia. 100% feel that
wiwibloggs BTW nostalgia & melancholia are Greek words 🇬🇷💕
Top10 GR and malakia are Greek word :D

wiwibloggs It's totally fair you are moved or something by this entry. What I mean (I don't wanna sound rude) musically this is nothing to do at the ESC. It's surprising how harsh and demanding you are with other entries. I think you set double standards here, but ok, that's fine, music is about emotions. But maybe I expected a little bit more objectivity in this one. Sorry :/
lagunaklloyd also, she has a speech impediment, so you can't judge her speech like that.
The Russians are brilliant! They get the game so well and they're not afraid to play it either.
First I hated the song so mich but now it's in my top 10! This makes me dreaming, like Dana International 2011
Jonah-David Lauth A real grower!
A wheelchair shouldnt be a factor, positive or negative. Music always:)
Thank you for sharing your perspective!!! And so glad we agree on the whole "used" issue. Enjoy the show!
Are you gonna react to Azerbaijan´s song? :) That´s my winner this year!
Hadriver Hadriver Great song...review coming soon!
I love the visibility and representation for disabled people but honestly the song is absolutely wretched.
If Eurovision were not politicized, in such cases the organizers of the contest would transfer the contest from Ukraine ...
Hope she will sing on the Eurovision
Its a beautiful Song and a nice singer.
BEst wishes from your friends in Germany
The first ten seconds of this clip are soooo cute! "Privjet!"
Thank you for separating the song and the singer - an important distinction. Others should follow your lead.
Jodiealamode I agree. Love the idea it brings but I really don't like the song.
Well, you guys won't hear this song on Eurovision. Ukrainian nazis banned her from participating.
Russia refused from Eurovision 2017.
Our (Russian) media has information that Julia will go to the "Eurovision" in 2018, if she do not get in this year
10:09 my reaction to Willie's previous video😆
T. K ❤❤❤❤
wiwibloggs hope Willie' s husband won't be after me🐒
I said it, this song IS a typical Russian ballad. Love it.
Im all TeamYulia!
this song makes me feel things. :(
wadafik Good things or bad things?
The song isn't the best,it won't win the semi and certainly not the entire thing, but! It is indearing, it's captivating and her story is really inspirational. Looking past the disability I can say she's smart for taking this opportunity to expand her audience, she'll deffinitely earn more fans from this and that's also great...
if you dont like performance you don't clap. booing is primitive ignorant way to express your opinion. stay at home and boo at your tv
Claus Michael Fasting 100% agree!
Claus Michael Fasting BTW she wasn't born this way. she became handicapped because of the strange medicine when she was 1 yo. that's so sad
it was some vaccine, one of those that they tell us has no side effects and doesn't cause health issues etc. western vaccines are evil :(
asdfg no no .....it wasn't a side effect of vaccine..... she has a genetic condition called Spinal muscular Atrophy whose manifestation coincided with the vaccination
yeah "coincided" magically.. she was saying all along that it was the vaccine that caused her condition until recently when it spiked debates over vaccines, now they've changed the story to "genetic condition" as if she was "born this way" and it's no one's fault....
Serbian review?🤔🤗
The song is catchy & I like it. I don't care about being "dated"; that is in the ear of the beholder, it means nothing. Deban, you are right, the juries can't be trusted; their treatment of Sergey will not be forgotten. There should never be booing though.
*Wiwi!!! Nota bene!*
The transcription of her surname is [sə'mɔiləvə]
I mean not SamoylOva, but SamOylova
Please, don't mispronounce!
With love, your subscriber from Russia
I just feel this song would be better sung in Russian, but it all comes down to the performance on the night, I have her 37th in my top but she can surprise us, remember last year, Belgium were not what people expected to go to the final and she killed it
YOU ARE GUYS TOTALLY RIGHT!!! HELLO FROM POLAND
I actually like this song. Even if it's sent with intention to tone down the booing, so what? It's not the first time a country sends a song with a hidden intent. Enjoy the damn song and her voice, it's awesome.
It's a song contest, not a war.
To all haters: So much about celebrating diversity.
When will you post a review of Israel please?
The song is beautiful.
It really grows on you! I love it now.
It's a good song and I like the meaning. I just don't like her vocals-She sounds off key. I do feel empathy and think it's unique and catchy
Which entries ARENT autotunned the last years??
This song may not be my winner, but I love it... This song made me dream again and try to reach it
William would love anything Russia sends :D Lovely! That's a pity Russia didn't manage to win the previous year so Wiwibloggs team could come to Russia.
I love her and I want her to win
That's kind of you to say! Who knows? Maybe she will.
I was just trying to picture Jamala handing the trophy to Julia. This image could bring world peace.
we were banned from contest..........
Lenovo Lover you weren't banned. Just Yulia was. Which is a shame, but laws are laws.
to my knowledge at this point, Russia said that they would not select another singer. Yulia was their choice and they are sticking to it.
Putin.
Ukraine just banned her from entering now!! I'm angry now at the Ukrainian government!
Claus Michael Fasting our (Russian) media say that Julia will go to the "Eurovision" in 2018, if she do not get in this year. So don't worry.
Юля молодец) если вдруг не выиграет так получит долю славы она заслужила это)
KIRILL MORO не выиграет
Выйграет) Вот увидишь
So Good!!!
Glad you like it!
William- when you make the Israeli review??
Favorite Wiwibloggs will add please Russian subtitles
❤
Can you please review the Israeli song?
מתן פינק My winner :)
I think that Julia is an
absolute diamond of a person, and I do think she is being used for Russia's own cruel reasons:
1. Not to get booed at ESC
2. To give the illusion that Russia as a country is above board.
3. To use sympathy voting to earn them a victory or good placing.
This is WRONG in any other year I would be heavily supportive of Julia Samoylova (I still am supportive but, not as much) as I myself am a disabled person. But, I don't think that Julia will progress to the final unfortunately given a variety of factors against her:
1. Anti-Russian feelings within Ukraine and the ESC community.
2. Not the strongest Russian entry
3. Given the semi final she's in it will be a immense struggle
scorpioninpink yeah there is also that as well
it's now oficially forbiden to Julia to visit Ukrain for the next 3 years. So, no matter if u like her song or not, u're not gonna hear it at the contest. Kinda sucks, i just started to like it(
When are you going to react to Albania's revamp
The song isn't great but honestly I think it will definitely make it to the final. The reason is that this song easily stands out on her semifinal which is the weakest, semi final 2, only Macedonia and Serbia are strong entries, others not so much.
This song is just pure, outdated garbage, there are so many good, contemporary songs this year, like you could really tell that european music is getting more and more modern and on trend and then I hear something like this and I feel like I'm getting back to the times when the contest was an epitome of kitsch and bad taste.
Gigi Z you know, I don't even see taste in this year's contest. And some songs just a plagiat
*looks at Juries with Poland 2015*
Omg I knew right now that she was banned!!!! This isnt unite europe , this isnt enjoy music and this isnt celebrate diversity!!! :((
Russia have a good song in my opinion. Russia top 10!
bird song I don't like it but now Russia is not participating anyway
Pls do a reaction video about lithuanian song ♥️🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹
_Kajus_ That will publish tomorrow! Thank you for asking.
Well who knows it could be pulled
Please react to Dihaj! She is amazing!
Im polish we had girl on wheelchair, its really poor song. Its song contest i see her msg to Europe.
But it will quilfy to final just coz its Russia.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
