Егор Валевский это полный провал. Мне очень стыдно, что пол страны талантливых певцов, а взяли девушку которая петь не умеет. Хотели выехать на том что она инвалид, не получилось. Мне стыдно. Под конец песни она вообще рот закрыла и подпевка её вытягивала как могла. Ужас какой стыд. Первый раз Россия за сколько лет не попала в финал. Опозорила не только нас, да и себя.

Hello from the USA. You are right about her courage. She might has a disabled body, but she also has a strong will. I can only respect this little young lady for her spiritual strength to sing so beautifuly and aspire others. Too bad that she won't be able to participate this year due to the travel ban Ukraine has issued for her entry to Kyiv.

There are plenty of singers with speech impediments, like 2013's winner Emmelie de Forest. But they didn't need as much autotune as they used in this song, it's crackly, and it hurts my ears.

there are two sides of the story: the girl is nice and charming but the songwriters are lazy and basically made another very simple song in the vein of Dina Garipova-Tolmachevy Sisters (which the songwriting team was responsible as well).
well, I don't think that Russia is prospering, they have a lot of migrants from former soviet states (especially middle east), the country has a lot of private sector debt (just like Greece had before collapsing) and their financial resources aren't that high since the oil prices have gone down, but that's a different story. Don't think there is a single "prospering" country in the world in that good old sense of that word.

as far as i remember that "awful" song won and the artist singing it wasn't part in any sort of wars or making instagram and twitter posts that consisted hatred towards other countries.
Just because she's in a wheelchair is no excuse to treat her differently. What you seem to do is see her as disabled and think you need to help, when the reality is that she is just a normal person. All laws apply to her and she can't skip past them just because she can't walk.
