They even skip the bar tape. But British hill climbs are more like sprints than long endurance climbs.

And... I just did most of Haleakala in Maui. Ran into some bad weather. You should bag that one. Fellow Canadians Wood and Hesjedal are current and previous record holders. From Paia town the record is about 2:30 ish. 0-10000 ft.
I ran into bad weather there too, and was more than dumb enough to continue. Second the notion that Phil should take a crack at it.
