Vertical Stands ? PS4, PS4 Slim & PS4 Pro

Keeping your PS4 vertically or horizontally is a challenge, which way is better?
I've got three different vertical stands for each PS4 model, PS4 Fat, PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro, genuine and after market, one of them also being a charging dock. Many people thinks keeping your PS4 horizontally may cause overheating and by keeping it vertically is much better. Well, is it better to keep your PS4 Console on a vertical stand?

I bought an official OEM vertical stand by Sony for my PS4 Slim not long after purchasing the console itself in a bundle with Drive Club, The Last of Us Remastered and Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End and I’m happy to say that I’ve never had any problems with overheating or airflow. 🤞🤞💨🎮

With the cool and charging station i added rubber feet to raise it higher about 1/4 inch and changed out the fans for quieter 7000rpm fans. They made a huge difference. I dont hear any of the fans including the ps4 pro cooling fan.

The first PS4 is known for this issue, they fixed this with later revisions by making the button physical. You can try to replace the button but in time the new button may cause the same problems

Keeping your PS4 vertically does not make it more silent, it’s mostly a matter of aesthetics
