MyKeyReviews Yeah, it was utter bullshit, the guy at the shop also said the Pro couldn't be stood vertically over where the vents were which makes no sense. The vents are at the back like the OG Ps4. Does the packaging for the verticle stand mention the Ps4 Pro at all?
Just picked one up today from CEX for £3 mint condition. If you buy from Amazon they are £20 which is bit of a rip off but really is premium build

What size screw is it for connecting the stand to the console, I’ve lost my screw!
I've read through the comments and I'm not sure where people get these mad high prices, it's 15€ in gamestop and it has been at that price for a very long time...
*Zaneta Anise* when Amazon runs out of stock, they normally show the next best price from someone who's selling them through Amazon. Some sellers take advantage of products not being easily available and massively hike the price up. 😯

Just one screw, just depending on whether you are mounting it on the slim or pro, determines which hole to use. :)
this blocks the fan from pulling in cool air. it needs to be installed on the other side of the console
is most the air pull in from right side like xbox box one x on the ps4 pro
I just got this and already I noticed my fan didn't pick up as much. Though keeping it dust free helps
I bought a ps4 slim 500gb I changed it cause it would get overhitted they gave me another which also gets quite hot. I don't know if it the specific model which has problems

Unfortunately that happens with every PS4 model The original/ slim/pro It's just a very poor thermal system Sony has created since the PS3 days 🤦♂️ The only way to actually Make it super quiet You have to apply a new thermal paste on top of the APU after that you won't even hear the fan 😉👍

You need the screw to install it, I'm not going to randomly add a part to the video without the screw 😅
If you got the stand new, check the box as mine was oddly wedged inside. If it's old and you've lost it then you may just need to get another stand or see if someone sells it.
I have no idea what type of screw this one is.
Why does every ps4 pro have this stand in the picture but it's not included or ever mention on the box, or in the manual. False advertisement has become so normalized. Not to mention, these things are next to impossible to find!

It will be fine if you can guarantee nothing will knock it. It's just to ensure that stability. :)

One hole is for the standard PS4, the other is for the Pro.

Hard to say as I can't remember the last time I had it horizontal 🤔 from what I can remember, there's no difference.
Not had any issues as of yet 🙂
I have my Pro standing on its side (for space reasons) I was going to get one of these thinking it would help air flow then noticed it doesn’t have vents on the side.
Mine does its a pro not sure about the slim do
Actually there are ventilation's on the left and right side if you put your hand touching you could feel the air coming out 😉👍

The original PS4 has it's own stand. The Slim and Pro models had a redesign which is why they released a new stand. :)

My ps4 pro won’t read the disc while it’s vertical. 😔
Very odd, I've had no issues myself and I still use it. 😐
I had the same damn issue with my PS4 Pro 2017 model 😢 as soon as I slip a disc inside it will immediately tell me cannot read the disc😢 But luckily I teared my PS4 apart including the Blu-ray drive and I immediately noticed something was loose and it was this little white piece That basically holds these two rollers that suck in your disc So I simply snapped it back in place Now all of a sudden it's able to read any disc I put in 😉👍

I already got my ps4 pro overheating once and I dont want it to happen again
PS4 Pro's are renowned for overheating unfortunately, vertical or horizontal... 😐
If your PS4 Pro is experiencing overheating then you definitely need the vertical stand It will actually help the air inside flow a lot easier But it only helps by a little the overheating problem is mostly due to Sony's poor thermal system preventing the APU from overheating 🤦♂️ But that's not the only reason why it overheats the PS4 Pro 2017 model draws too much power Which ends up making the fan speed up way too fast 🤦♂️ And then Sony secretly released a new PS4 Pro 2018 model which actually fixes the overheating problem which draws a lot less power Which makes sense why the PS4 Slim is the most quiet PS4 simply because it draws only 100 watts 😉👍
The stand is stable but just in case it did fall I used scotch double sided tape for the bottom.. my pro doesn't move at all, even with force

All my consoles I've had vertical and I have never had any issues.
As long as you keep it in a well ventilated area and not closed off, it will be fine.

My Pro can be loud depending on the game I'm playing, but that's not down to the positioning. :)

The PS4 won't explode They don't have a battery inside instead it has a built in power supply that requires constant power plugged into the power outlet 😉👍 The reason why the PS4 is so damn loud is because of the poor thermal system 🤦♂️ The only way to make it super quiet At this point is to apply a new thermal paste on top of the APU then it will be super quiet and it won't overheat or get hot 😉👍

yeah i was wrong, i got it for 19,99€ and i have to say i am satisfied because it shows off the sleek desing of the console and now my ps4 setup is very tidy and awsome

Id say throw this away and just get one of those charging cooler port vertical stand for the same price
The ps4 already has a fan in it, all you are doing is forcing the air to the fan.
Dude I would never buy those cooling products They are seriously misleading Especially too many retards actually fall for this bullshit and they do not serve any purpose to keep your system very cool It's actually the opposite You're forcing air into the system not out the system That's why Microsoft or Sony does not recommend buying third party cooling attachments as a matter of fact I would ban any product that claims it will keep your Xbox One or PS4 system cold instead of hot That is the biggest misleading advertisement in history That's why Microsoft and Sony invented their own vertical stand which will allow the air to flow very efficiently and prevent overheating 😉👍

The whole point of having your PS4 standing vertically so it takes less space if you have multiple consoles like I do I own Xbox One X and PS4 Pro standing vertically using their own official vertical stand 😉👍 standing right next to each other side by side 😁👌

axolotlLover29 Yeah...I got mine from GameStop for $25 plus $5 shipping. Seems no stores carry it in stock. The closest GameStop to me that carried it was 50 miles away. I'll take $5 shipping than spending gas for a 100mi trip for a $25 piece of plastic.

Standing consoles upright is the worst idea. Your literally just asking for something bad to happen. My brother had his like that n the dog knicked the power cord, system fell flat with c.o.d. in it n running, now the disc has a permanent ring around it n certain stages dont load. Lol. Dont stand your consoles upright, lay them flat

Not a bad idea if you think and plan ahead. I have two small kids in my house, so I understand the dangers they might bring. I use a vertical stand, and then I just tape the damn thing to the surface. Now even I can not move it :) I only hope the kids don't decide to stuff the disc drive with something...
