What beautiful patination on both sides of the plate - the whole plate is a lovely shape and your three little feet add to the total perfection! 😍👍👀🍽🏆🥇
Awesome work David, the feet are a great touch. Thanks for showing me a new wood too, stunning grain and your shaping of it was amazing. Keep on turning. Cheers, Bluey 👍
Thanks Bluey👍 First time turning leopardwood but yes the grain is pretty awesome :) The feet is an interesting addition I will definitely utilise this more in the future specially when you have greater thickness / materials to work with could look even better and bigger.
Hi, I just discovered your channel! You made a beautiful piece! In the end, when you sculpted the four legs, I thought it might not be a good idea, but it turned out great!
Thank you. :) Downside of woodturning the waste is a fair bit when it comes to hollowing a bowl/plate/vase. First time using lacewood very interesting grains but like it

Ha c’est beau bravo 👏👍
Thank you :)
Beautiful wood.
But my question is - why did you carve up the ring base to make 4 feet ? I would think the ring foot would be much more stable.
That is mint!!!! The legs are awesome. Thanks for the idea and I am now a subscriber.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great one-off plate, dinner setting for 6 could take awhile. Nicely done sir very nicely done indeed.
Thanks Paul! You got that right! 😀
Hermosa madera !!!

I love your square leopard plate! It would be really neat if you had a whole place setting of those!
Thanks, much appreciated :)
Hi, I just discovered your channel!
You made a beautiful piece!
In the end, when you sculpted the four legs, I thought it might not be a good idea, but it turned out great!
Thanks much appreciated. Yes it was a risky move but glad it turned out good as it gives a little extra feature to the plate
Just awesome and stunningly beautiful. What is the name of the wood?
Thanks so much Kobie 😀
Looks good, what wood is it? Like the lathe, same as mine.
Thanks Bill 😀 It is Leopardwood, it has a very interesting grin for sure. Yes the lathe is brilliant upgraded to this one 6 months ago and love it.
What’s the deal with the tennon removal my friend, that sure is the long way around ,
Each to their own
Not sure I follow
Beautiful...but a lot of wasted exotic lacewood. I've never seen a solid piece that big in person. Must have been very old.
Thank you. :) Downside of woodturning the waste is a fair bit when it comes to hollowing a bowl/plate/vase. First time using lacewood very interesting grains but like it
