- Today we're looking at 2 new Grand Seiko's for 2024 now in a 38mm 62GS Titanium Case with a 9S85 Hi-Beat movement, this is the SBGH341 and SBGH343. Both pink and green dials are inspired by Sakura cherry blossom trees in Japan during Winter and Spring. Let me know what you think!

I wish we could get a spring drive in this size.
We need that, I wish they would just remake the 413 in a 38mm case 😢
The standard Spring drive movement is likely too big for this, you can see the date wheel is pushed all up way to the edge in the 40mm 415/413, so it probably won't fit in 38mm
This new case is absolutely goldilocks!!! Tried it and it looked beautiful!! Dial is lovely on both and size is absolutely perfect
38mm yes! GS finally gets me as a customer.
Many thanks . Very professional, comprehensive revew unlike any other on the net.
You are behind my purchase of the GS 413 two years ago . Many thanks for that.
With love and great appreciation
Nizar
Many thanks to you Nizar!
5:21 THIS, absolutely aligned with you. Please make a Spring Drive 44GS ! Use the 36.5mm case (e.g. SBGW297), provided the movement fits in there.
Thanks for the presentation Derek, lovely dials as always.
Wow... Amazing video👍. Very detailed and concise.
both are incredible beautiful… wow.
Great review! I wish we could get these a millimeter thinner
Keep killing It brother !
20mm lugs are ideal! Good to see
What comes to mind is QUALITY and attention to DETAIL. The Japanese focus is THIS before anything else…. Comes before design, and profit. So if you want durability, I would certainly recommend it. Dials are superb too.
Wow, that green one is stunning!
But more expensive that the 41 mm shunbun? Seems a bit odd to me.
Beatiful goo for G.S.💯👍
i would love this in everbrilliant steel and a white or blue dial 😍
Thanks for the vid - which watch has a pinker tone between the 413 and this new smaller 62GS? I have the 413 and wish it was slightly more noticeable. Also, is the Ti on these new models identical in tone or is it the new bright Ti? Thanks!
I hear a lot of English speakers say « dolphin » hands. It is Dauphine hands, coming from the word Dauphin in French that means the heir of the King. Nothing to do with marine creatures.
Amazing watches by the way. Thanks for the presentation and nice close ups.
Just another reminder why I should've taken French in high school instead of Spanish lol
I really hope they can create a better bracelet one day 🤩⭐️ !
I just want to live long enough to see a 34-36 mm grand seiko. I’d buy that pink one, but I’d need to put on at least 15 lbs to make my wrists look bigger.
Wow is the shunbun 413 really the most popular gs watch now?
Beautiful watches and the top-notch quality we have come to expect. I too would love to see the Spring drive come down to a more manageable 38mm - what's the lug to lug?
Lug to lug is 44.7mm
They need to make these in stainless steel
Are they US exclusive? Usually the best looking ones from GS are 🙁
These are not US exclusive, available worldwide
Great presentation - thank you. Grand Seiko is my dream brand of watch. Dream, because I'll never be able to afford one.
May Karma always smile upon you.
I love the proportions, design and movement -
but why won't they even apply lume to all these models..that's wall I've been asking for over the past few years.
Nobody needs that
@@ekimandersom4478 who's you?
I've seen some Seiko mods using GS dials with lumed hour markers and lumed GS Dauphine hands, and, to me, it really doesn't work. The dials get to busy, or the hands get cluttered. They should be plain brushed dauphine hands, with pollished bevelled edges.
And i thought the dial would be like the Fubuki Sakura SRPC03J1.
My bad
Love the proportions, can even put up with the thickness. What I can't put up with however is how these smaller models are locked behind GS' new upmarket pricing. Why are these almost $1000 over the 413 when the latter looks almost identical, and even has the 'better' movement. Seems unreasonable to me.
the 9S85 Hi-beat movement is not a downgrade from the Spring drive movement
Agreed… prices of new releases just go higher and higher without big upgrades. Would be priced at 6k in 2019
did someone say GS? 🤩
Beautiful watch but shouldn't be priced like that considering it's the same as the SBGH271 for example in movement and specifications with the exception of Titanium. It's in fact less materials overall used in the making of it so it should only really be as expensive as the SBGA413 but they know people will suck it up for the money.
Now if only GS released a spring drive shunbun in this size…but completely agreed with GS playing it too safe with recent releases. Very boring
Would love to see a review on the new quartz baby snowflake!
The pink one is a stunner although it is too thick for a 38mm and also far too expensive.
That's not a 6.4" wrist. Looks below 6
All the new watch releases just get more expensive and expensive… this would be price at 6k in 2019
Agree. These releases are overpriced.
hear me out. sakura pink on a blue leather strap
38 mm is too small for the average man in my opinion; unless you were really small with skinny wrists…..
Good enough for 17cm wrist
Weird comment
io Ho un polso da 19 e secondo me è perfetto, mi devo solo abituare al titanio, misure più grandi mi piacciono per orologi più sportivi.
The use of four seasons, various scenery around the seiko studio etc, is getting a bit tiresome by now. But I think ur description of “wasabi” is spot on. It’s an accurate representation of the color while also being a different take on the nature theme. This is what they should’ve called the dial.
