- In this video Tommy & I venture off to an old hotel that he gained permission to hunt. This location gave up over 300 coins including 27 silvers, 77 wheat pennies, 1 gold ring, & 1 silver ring. ***** Less chance of scratching a coin if there's a spill. I've also learned that small holes do more damage to the roots & leaves small dead spots in the lawn & the bigger plugs help prevent this. Most hunters aren't aware of this because they never go back out to look at a place the next day after hunting it. Thanks for watching!

That unknown relic you called a tool is a Civil War tent line adjuster to keep the tent line tight.

That spot looks like a lot of fun digging. Now you know what it was like to detect in the 70's when every spot was like that, when silver was still abundant. Good luck with that location and keep milking it as much as possible till it gets demo'ed. Nice vid GL&HH!!!!

Yes it was an amazing day, and a great hunt. That Honey Hole was sweet. Our best hunt at Our Honey hole, I guess our record still stands, #39 Silvers (one Day). You and Tommy do very well...your a team hard to beat.

What a wonderful day, even if it was wet. I hope Tommy tried to return the hold class ring to its owner. From 1967 the owner would be 71 or 72. I know because that was my class. The school name is own it and letters if the owners’s names.

the long piece with the hole in it, is a tent rope tensioner, and I believe they can date back to pre civil war.

Enjoyed the video! Do you use different metal detectors for different detecting sites? I watched a more recent video of yours and you were using an orange pokey thingy directly in the hole dirt pile you’d turned over but in this video it is a black one? Do some only work better in certain types of soil or a wet day versus a hot dry day? This is so interesting. Do you have or recommend a book about metal detecting? Thank you again. Oh, I just some feedback... I enjoyed the more recent video where you cleaned up what you found and showed both sides and put it in the video right after the find. Maybe also include a verbal comment at the beginning of the video that you need to get permission from the owner or if it’s city property you need a permit or when you don’t. Definitely a great learning video! Keep up the good work! Subscribed. 👍🏻

The relic you found is a civil war era tent rope tightener. The where used until about 1920, but could have been used long after that. If there was a tent there at one time it may explain why you found so many old coins. We have found them alot in old camp and fair grounds.

You probably know this by now, as this video is a few years old. But the item in the wrap up that you were unsure of was a tent rope tensioner.
The thing you thouth might be a tool is a tensioner for a tent that they used during the civil war

I have two of those golf club buttons, dug three years apart in different places, the first relic is a rope tensioner probably pretty old, they go back to the civil War
Grats on all the nice finds.. Silver & Class Ring... I also have a AT-Pro.. What did the class ring sound at? Was it in the low 40's?... GL & HH
Bruce Y My buddy Tommy found it but it came in a 65. I know that's depressing to hear because people normally pass a 65 over as a trash signal. I know when I was swinging the ATP I would have passed it up. I also dug a Citadel class ring, it was a recovery but it hit close to a dime. Most gold on the ATP comes in around 50-60 on the VDI but smaller gold items will come up in the 40s & larger ones 60s & maybe even low 70s. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!!!

Good stuff and congrats on the finds. Just a little constructive criticism ,Why are your holes so big? They are like huge dude. I have been metal detecting for a couple years now and my hole is about 3 inches round max. Hey cheers.

In my short ALMOST 4 years HUNTING... I had a 22 SILVER ONE DAY HUNT ( year #2 in a 1 day hunt), with my Garrett ace 400... And my first year Garrett ace 350 I found 9 SILVER in a one day hunt (found a 10k gold ring as well)... My BETTER DETECTOR SIMPLEX. . I've found ONLY 4 silver in a hunt in a 1 day hunt (I have 13 oz of SILVER so far in 2021... HAVEN'T hunted as much either).. It's all about permissions and unhunted PLACES

Your tool is used for tightening toilet seats. It goes on the bottom half of the screw so you can lock her down! Great finds....
