A YOUNG MUM is battling to reclaim her life after experiencing horrific burns as the result of a terrifying campfire accident. On September 30, 2016, Courtney Waldon, 27, from Tallapoosa, Georgia, went through the most excruciating pain that left her with burns over 40% of her face and body. After being through several skin grafts and being in the hospital for 51 days, Courtney and her husband separated, which left her and her daughter with no income. In the UK and other civilised European states, socialised medicine takes on burdens no family can endure.
After surgery she has still got some beauty left, perhaps with advances in tissue engineering she might get all of it back.
I'm not going to waste my time talking about a husband that none of us can rap our minds around on how he could leave her. I am going to talk about how choked up I am due to these amazing people that have come together to help this woman and her daughter. There is a quote that says "it takes a village to raise a child". I believe this is the reason for this quote. We live on this earth to share our knowledge and to help others.
This community is absolutely great. Building this house for her and being a refuge for battered women and children in the future. You guys are the greatest. We need more people in the world like you.
