WHAT should have been a fun evening with friends, turned to disaster when a Friendsgiving bonfire exploded, leaving Natalie with second and third degree burns and a long road to recovery - both physical and mental. Before the accident Natalie, from Meridianville, Alabama, says she was like any 16-year-old who cared about their looks and enjoyed makeup. After the fire, just going out in public was extremely hard for Natalie. But after posting a video on TikTok about her accident and recovery, Natalie gained an online community of burns survivor friends and family who ultimately encouraged her to not hide her burns scars. Now, age 18, Natalie is not letting her burns hold her back, starting with revisiting the site of the fire for the first time since the accident.

This happened November 2019, not too long ago and she’s come a long way psychologically, and emotionally. She’s one tough young lady!
I didn't realize it was that soon. An amazing young woman for sure. ❤
Are you her aunt?
Bani Musa no, I just follow her on IG and RUclips
How long does she have to keep that cast on her arm? Or is that unrelated?
ruclips.net/video/lv1YZ828bMA/видео.html
Regardless of the burns she’s really pretty still. And her vibe is genuine.
absolutely
Can't agree more
As unfortunate as it was she was extreamly lucky.
She looks like a badass protagonist.
She still is beautiful, burns or not
She’s still very beautiful. Before and after the fire . Her burns show how strong of a person she is . To wear them so proudly I admire that because, I think if I had been in her shoes I would not have came out so victorious . God bless her

These are the videos I like rather than all the plastic surgery stuff. I’m sick of seeing people who are desiring to be plastic, because they are just looking for Instagram followers and recognition- I don’t know what. That’s fine, but I would rather see these stories. Ps she is so pretty at 16! 💕

Hard agree! This is much better content

Agree 100%! The never satisfied plastic people need therapy not more surgery. Stories like Natalie’s mean so much to so many.

"Her scars and burns are not what define her,...but who she is as a person," well said dad. She has pretty hair and her confidence is so contagious.
It's good they're still friends. Having someone you trust that's going through the same thing must be a big help.
I was thinking the same thing.
I wonder if she resents him at all. I bet he feels terrible for it. It's one thing to ruin your own life, it's another to ruin someone else's. I bet it was a huge relief to see her doing so well.

Natalie is a true beauty. Inside and out. An amazing example of resilience and humility.
God bless this young woman she’s a survivor , her scars are her proof of strength. 💜💕

Omg I follow Natalie on TikTok and I think she’s just so amazing and inspiring. A true help for people who think they can’t and she lets them know they can.
this is so hard i could not handle it the way she has she’s so strong
She's a beautiful, resilient, brilliant woman. Inside and out. She's a warrior for sure. I wish there was more that doctors and surgeons could do for burn survivors.
There is. Meds beds will be open to the public soon by Trump. Holographic beds can repair. It will be awesome.
She’s still a bright, beautiful, young lady and honestly I want to see more videos like this.
I absolutely adore this girl. I know going through something like that is the worst possible experience one could endure. But I can see it changed her view on life forever. Which has changed my view on life forever as well. I’m so happy to see her shining and thriving through, and I’m glad I found her videos when I did or idk where I’d be right now. Her strength somehow, someway rubbed off on me and I thank her for that. She’s beautiful not only on the outside but on the inside too.
Been following her Instagram and other accounts for a while. Such a mature, beautiful and inspiring young lady! Happy to see her continuing her life without letting anything get in the way. These are the kind of women that young girls need to be looking up to.
I'm so happy to see that you've overcome this tragedy. Such a strong and beautiful woman.
This show never failed to love myself more and be grateful for everything that I am.
Watching this and hearing her story brought tears to my eyes, she's TRULY a strong woman! And she's still beautiful inside and out, god bless her and her wonderful family and friends! Sending much love from Texas! 😄😊😇🤗❤❤
This young woman is strong, beautiful and an inspiration. Thank you to her for helping other people who have been through the same thing and helping to normalise scars.
It is beyond me time and time again how people can just yeet flammable liquids into open fires. As if it would be a hard to grasp concept that this is a bad idea.
Exactly! I learned this stuff since I was a kid. Like cmon I get accidents happen but sheesh! Kudos to them for being strong but I would feel guilty for the rest of my life knowing I caused that to someone else.
ruclips.net/video/lv1YZ828bMA/видео.html
Yeah that was crazy to do that 😳
Thats why alot of accidents are avoidable
When I was a teen my friend had a bonfire her cousin poured gas on it I never backed up and jumped so quick in my life. She made fun of me but I havent been friends with her since. So stupid to do that when u see videos lile this this poor girl
She's a beautiful strong girl ❤

I’m glad you’ve found a way forward and can be a huge support for others. You are beautiful and strong - amazing
So amazing, you are helping other people!! Your beauty will always shine through. Wishing you good health and happiness.
She is a strong beautiful person, I really admire those who can go through a horrible experience and use that to help others. It takes a really wonderful person to do that.
She's a beautiful strong Young lady and forgiveness is an amazing thing she doesn't even blame James for pouring the gas.their both Victims...
No, she is the victim, he's an idiot who made her be the victim.
They’re both victims and he didn’t do anything on purpose. It was an accident.

Ugh…. I dno how I got here but I’m glad I came across her story! Brave, strong and resilient. If this were me I’m not sure I’d have it in me to be as transparent as she has. I salute you. Thank you for sharing your story.
Wow this broke my heart sorry this happened too you, but it’s a blessing your still alive, and your still just as beautiful no matter what people say or how many people look if they don’t like it they shouldn’t be around you, don’t pay attention too them love who you are
Shes lucky most of her face is still intact... and that she even survived to begin with. Wish her the best
More that being lucky she was smart, she covered her face with her hands very tight, that's why it face didn't burned
More that lucky and Smart, I think that God have a purpose for her... And she is an inspiration for other people...
She was smart. She covered her face with her hands hence her hands got burned.
@@alphawtel3157 What is so tragic is that most serious burns from barbecues and bonfires result from a combination of people using gasoline and wearing synthetic clothing.
If she had been wearing a cotton top with jeans or denim shorts, most of her burns would have been avoided or far less serious.
It is time that that far more films were made warning of the dangers. The problem is that people who do not get seriously hurt just assume that they were lucky and do not see any connections with what they were wearing at the time.
What a thing to go through. Shes such a beautiful young woman, incredible story. 💜
I'm so glad this channel was able to make this video. You are so powerful!
I am sure that this has been painful for you in so many ways. I am so very sorry that this happened. You are still very attractive, I am sure that you have been told that many times. I also went through a fire accident when I was a kid. It was not very severe but I still have scars on my face. Much power to this girl.❤
She’s very brave and it’s awesome to see that she isn’t saying POOR ME but on the other side of this is the fact that people can be so cruel and I hope that she isn’t being treated like that ‼️💯❤️😊
Beautiful. And a beacon of Hope to everyone around her.
her scars look good, they’re not really a distraction to her looks or disfigure her like i see with most burn survivors. looks like a birthmark
@Imitation Of Life its your perspective. Some folks dont carry their scars with sorrow.
I think that she has the most sweetest personality ever. I love how she is helping others and even though she's still struggling with things she doesn't let that stop her from doing what she wants to do in life. And amazing parents by her side. 😁
The young man who threw the gas on the fire took alot of the force I'm glad he is living as well. And she is a beautiful soul for not holding it against him she has a forgiving heart. I will speak for myself and say there have been times in my life when someone hurts you inside and you hold that grudge. This was a life altering accident at another person's hands and she has forgiven. Perfect example of charity love and peace!

I know that it’s so hard to see yourself when something like this happens. My face is scarred to, and I remember thinking I looked like a monster the first time I saw my face. I thought no one would want me, but my scars are one of many things that make me stand out, and they actually attracted people to me. AND…..YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL inside AND OUT. You are. She looks so epic with the burns! It’s sad and scary what happened though, I’m happy she lived!
I remember reading about this, after it happened. I'm elated to see you thrive. Keep going girl. Love from a Virginia Firefighter/Dad.
Already heard her story but love to hear it again! Hearing how strong she is!!
I had one of these new “safety” gas cans where you have to have the nozzle in whatever you’re filling and then push this clip thing AND push down and apparently the can had been sitting in the sun so the gas expanded some and when I went to fill the push mower it rushed into the tank and right back up into my face. It was AWFUL! I was home alone with my then 3 year old and I literally ran in the house taking off my shirt to wipe my face and as to not take the gas soaked shirt inside.
I jumped in the shower and just kept gasping for air the fumes were SO STRONG and irritating my throat and lungs. I just flushed my eyes over and over and told my 3 year old to go outside, NOT touch the gas or mower and just grab my phone (which I was talking to my mom when it happened and my face was RIGHT over the hole) so I could call for help. It’s the first time I almost called 911 for myself. I called my mom back and she didn’t care, it was really upsetting. But I got through it. It was definitely one of the scariest times of my life. Fearing I would go blind. Not being able to breathe!!
We now use the older gas cans so if that happens, when you take the cap off you can actually let any built up fines out safely before using.
GOD BLESS YOU FOR HELPING OTHERS. I DIDN'T HEAR PITY ME IN YOUR VOICE. I HEARD A STRONG LOVING WOMAN 💗
You are strong,I can tell by your voice.Keep going, girl. You are a inspiration. God bless you.
