  • Wes - my lifelong 'hero & teacher' - Always loved his version of this song
The Solo section (in the middle) I pinched some ideas from a live version I saw just the other week here on RUclips.
I added a little chordal passage at the end
with the wonders of 'AI' thanks to 'Moises' - I could remove Wes from the original track - and leave most of the backing in place without to many artifacts - I redid the bass and added some extra pads etc.
Song originally by 'The Association' in 1967 and covered by Wes the same year on his 'Day in the Life' album

Thanks a million for the close up of your brilliant playing, Can't wait to see of much I can play on my old Gibson ES 125.

Hi - Donald - that’s very kind of you
      Not sure about ‘brilliant’
I pinched various Wes solos from two live versions
I’m not that relaxed - too worry about a wrong note
      But thank You sincerely
      Gotta love Wes
      Hey ! ES 125 - wow !!

Nice. Its choppy at times but still its not easy to cover Wes. I dont get all the negativity in the comments from people who havent uploaded a single cover of a jazz tune.

With all due respect, you sound like a kid in a high school band. Don't let anyone blow smoke up your ass by telling you this was a good rendition of this classic Wes Montgomery tune. It sounds like you're fighting with your guitar instead of just playing the song. If you're going to do a cover of an iconic artist and put it on RUclips, you've got to be better.

      I totally agree
      Very rushed and not relaxed
      I value your comment

Not really. Playing octaves like that is awkward and staccato.
