I wonder if it has bugs. One of the main reasons why they don’t release a 60fps patch is that the game has game logic that is dependent on frame rate so increasing the frame rate is not only about increasing the frame rate but also about altering the game logic so it stays consistent at higher frame rates. Xbox when updating Dark Souls 3 on FPS boost had to do the same thing
I think this is probably basically the same 60fps mod that already exists for the ps4, but with 1080p instead of 720p. For that mod I remember that the developers of it had to work a lot on fixing exactly those issues, so if that is the base for the mod in this video, most of those potential bugs you're talking about should already be fixed, if not all of them.
skyrim had and still has the same problem but modders managed to seperate the framerate from the physics (thats what u mean with "game logic") so im sure it will be possible with this too

It runs almost the exact same engine as dark souls 3 which can be patched to run at 90fps with zero physics issues, 120-144 has a few physics issues but is still playable. The hardest part of this is jailbreaking your PS5, the actual patch is just a quick hex edit.
Dark souls 3 fps was unlocked by using the debug / developer menu iirc. Been olaying DS3 at 140fps for almost 2 years. Few rolling / running bugs here and there. 90-100 is the sweet spot for near perfect gameplay.
I still haven't got a PS5, but the very moment they announce 60FPS Bloodborne on PS5 I am buying one.
They should've remade Bloodborne for the release. Clean up Demon's Souls all you want, it still feels like an old game
I bought a ps5 digital for the new exclusives of course but I also bought it for bloodborne thinking that it would no doubt have a fps boost since it was beloved by pretty much everyone and when I played BB on my 5 I was so disappointed I was genuinly hurt , they need to fps boost these games like on my series x they do it all the time it's very frustrating 😢

I waited until the PlayStation Showcase to buy Bloodborne. Since it wasn’t there, I gave in. Was absolutely worth it. Despite the 30 fps and poor frame pacing, the game is fantastic.
They have had like a decade to do it, it’s not gonna happen sadly

Same goes for playing Zelda ToTK on PC. The 60fps+ framerate makes a huge difference; as does playing in 1440p.

Seeing those smooth frames is a bliss. I hate judder and stutter. Especially in the background. You can enable smoothing on the tv that helps with the judder of the background, but in the same time it adds allot of artifacts around objects as the tv makes frames up to show between the known frames. And that’s equally bad.
you're acting like Bloodborne goes under 30 fps all the time... you do realise that games work like movies when it comes to the overall vision that the makers are intentionally designing for how FPS is supposed work for their products
@@godzillazfriction that’s cool and al, but terrible frame pacing is worse than terrible framerate. The judder effect is making it look choppy. If the frames are in sync with the hz even 20 fps looks ok
Sony doesn't hate money, it uses its exclusive IPs to push its consoles (duh?). Sure they've been bringing some to PC, but the bigger the IP, the longer you'll usually have to wait. Guaranteed Bloodborne Remastered will come, but it'll sit on console for a while, like Demon Souls, which still shows no signs of coming to PC at all.

"how dare you hack the game and allow it to reach its full potential and moneys worth!" its one of those things where i feel like they're keeping it from us so they can make us pay for it. swear to god cuz on YT i saw "1080P premium" when i went to switch quality of YT vids and i was like "wtf do you mean 1080 premium? like i have to pay to get that quality despite it already existing and having it????" so i wont be shocked to find out in the future that if you want good FPS you're gunna have to pay for a pass for that.

@@DigitalDeath88 Those are only E-SPORTS guys. Mainly FPS, its not that its unpleable but in the plain where everyone at stable 240 refresh rate in high octane games, and you at 60 you are in inherent disadvantage and severely more prone to loose.

@@DigitalDeath88 I shoud've used "mostly" but whatver. I mean yeah, +100 plus feels way better and when you go back to 60 after using it for more then a few hours, you can see and feel it. The apex with locked 60 and unlocked feels like completely different game. Being forsed to go back you can defintely call bad.
Try playing Overwatch and League at 240Hz and then go back to 60Hz.

the 60 fps smooths out the nature of how the game was supposed to work... just look at how the dodge looks and it's not something that is designed as it was intended for 30 fps

I would literally pay to re-buy the PS version just to have 60fps 1080p (or even 1440p if they're feeling generous / can swing it) on PS5. Maybe even give us a chromatic aberration toggle or some AA too. Not to mention the oodles of people that would drop full-price on a PC or Xbox port.

Bloodborne looks so strange and different in 60 fps.
Problem is not the fps tbh, is that the pace seems too fast. If they remake it with 60 fps they should change slightly the pace definitely.
So the 60FPS mode here is actually running at double the speed the normal game runs at. It's not just twice the FPS is twice the speed of enemy movement and attacks. And that's definitely not the way the game was meant to be played. Everything is twice as fast as before lol. The real 60FPS would make the game run at 60 FPS but keep the enemy attacks and movement at the original state.

Literally look at the player-character attacks and blood vial usage. I have no idea how you could say something that wrong with so much confidence.
And no shit it looks faster 60fps may seem like a small jump but it’s double of 30fps basically running an old ps3 game on a console that can handle 60fps
Hopefully Sony will remaster/remake this one for pc, a big part as to why they haven't is likely because the games frame rate was tied to the animations (which is why it took years for modders to make the pc emulations run it at 60fps, it's a lot more work than simply uncapping the fps) and they probably know they'll get shit if they release a pc game today that's 30fps locked.
it's probably more work than they want to do when they could release other ps4/5 games on pc that also have their own huge audiences. Hope I'm wrong and surprised with an announcement though, replaying this game after beating it years ago just doesn't feel good anymore cause of it's 30fps and most of us have acclimated to fast paced combat games being at least 60fps, and I'd REALLY like to enjoy it again.

My guess is that they will do a remaster once the PS6 comes out, similar to how they did the Demon’s Souls one 2 consoles after it came out. Sad we still haven’t seen that on PC yet, and if the same thing happens with BB, we riot.

Maybe because I played bloodborne so much that I got used to 30fps, seeing it with 60fps looks weirdly cartoonish, maybe because the game fundamentaly was built to be 30fps, they'll have to redesign the game from the ground up to look good on 60fps, seeing DS3 and ER in 60fps looks good but for some reason it dosent look good with bloodborne. It's like how every movie ever is shot with either 24fps or 30fps, it will look weird at 60fps. Maybe they're saving the 60fps for the remake since they can't just upscale the original game up to 60fps. And lot of experts said the same, including the guys who made the mods.

Pace is messed up at 60 fps, it feels like the game is played x2 speed. It's not a problem of fps, it's more about the pace. If they remake it with 60 fps they definitely have to adjust the pace slightly in my opinion.

bloodborne is a good game but i just cant bring myself to like the gameplay because of the 30 fps it looks so bad it it messes up my gameplay if only they would port it to pc with 60 fps
