I loved and so appreciated your TedTalk. I’ve been vegan for 12 years, and I’ve gone thru phases of being very strict and judgmental, and angry. But we with time I realized I live in a non-vegan world, as you said, and my attitude was alienating others and myself. Now I see all little changes or choices by others as a win toward the right direction in decreasing harm to animals and the planet.
The comment, "it already exists" is the key takeaway for me, during your discussion on the pre-loved leather bag. I am not vegan personally, but I make a living re-selling the immense amount of stuff the U.S. population deems trash and casts off for the next trend. I buy 99.9% of my inventory from last stop, end of an items life cycle facilities (it's the last chance for items to be saved and re-used before they end up in land fill, textile desserts, shipped out of the country or recycled and processes again - all options further contributing to pollution and environmental damage). It is almost unfathomable how much stuff there is already in the world. I've been sourcing things this way for for almost a decade and it's still something that I sit and think about.
I deeply appreciate your TedTalk surrounding the gray areas of veganism. You are the first vegan person that I’ve ever heard speak about what it means to be vegan and how you personally take a balanced approach when it comes to vegan products, sustainability, and being a conscious consumer. I think you’re absolutely right that the term vegan should have some breathing room for those gray areas. As someone who has just in the last few months started eating a more plant-based diet, I have found such incredible value from your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and your insights after a decade of being vegan. It’s really refreshing and encouraging.
Love all of your videos Maddie and really enjoy it when you chat a lot to the camera, don't ever feel like you need to apologise for it! Just a suggestion, I would love for you to do a "best places to eat out as a vegan in Cornwall" or "best places for second -hand shopping in Cornwall" etc video/series. I go on holiday to Cornwall every year and try to take note of your suggestions in your vlogs, but it would be great to have a specific video or series I could go to for suggestions. Or maybe even a series of videos where you explore different places in Cornwall each video, i.e St Ives, Truro etc and give your suggestions for places to eat/visit/shop in each of these. I love supporting small, independent businesses whilst I am in Cornwall so would love some suggestions of where to go :) Take care!
Love the gardening content and I'm so glad that you are embracing this as a non perfectionist, give it a go learning experience. When you showed your first video moving into your beautiful home, I got so excited about your kitchen garden. And those pea seeds, Nairobi, they are the most delicious sugar snap peas! They don't get stringy and if you can't eat them all as sugar snaps they grow on into bigger peas that are like sweets in a candy shop. You will be munching on them before they make it back to the kitchen. The heart of your kitchen garden will become your composting system, this will give life back to your soil so this is a area is well worth the research. A simple 3 bay system made out of pallets would do the job. While you are making friends with horses, their used bedding and manure could be a great addition to the compost system as well as seaweed! I totally appreciate veganism yet we have to consider that our vegetables need pollination from bees and pollinating insects. Our soil is a habitat for worms, insects and life beyond our wildest dreams. So...Where do we draw the line? I respect your little rant today and good on you for using old leather handbags, wool or whatever. Even the cotton that we wear couldn't have grown without the help from the life in our soil.
Your skin is so beautiful ...that’s why they thought you used a filter. I always admire your skin and you have beautiful big eyes and amazing eyebrows. I love your videos, they are so inspiring
Well said! Cheers to a solid, beautiful lifestyle you’re both leading and you are an amazing couple. Some ppl are always going to find fault, stuff them! I just say I’m 90% vegan and change the subject.
I would say absolutely do the brow lamination. Also getting your lashes done is an absolute life changer. Here in the states it's called a lash lift. Basically just a perm for your eyashes. I personally think the lash lift is a better investment since my lashes are so stubborn and will not lift or curl with an Eyelash curler. But definitely try both and see what is best for you.
I completely agree with you on the veganism and the expected "perfectionism". I think it's so easy for people who don't try anything to point fingers and say "ha, I see you ordered an aubergine and plants also have feelings" instead of just celebrating every little win and encouraging people to do something. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. I'm a flexitarian and at the moment this works best for my lifestyle
Congratulations on the new allotment and I have had mine for 4 years and have really enjoyed it with the home grown vegetables and fruits which has contributed to my diet.
I highly recommend Lucinda Rileys Seven Sisters Series for your reading challenge. I binged them ❤ I love her style of writing and that theres not only happy life and happy ends. Maybe you like it too. Greetings from Germany, Julia
Really enjoyed your vlog, l am a Vegetarian but with on the secondhand leather bags, garden looking nice and clear but a lot of hard work and the benefits when all your produce grow, take care x
hey, I never really comment but I just wanted to get rid of the fact that you are such a huge role model. i love your energy your attitude your humor and vibes. just so nice to watch your videos it always leaves a positive calm feeling. lots of love from germany❤😊
Another amazing vlog Madeleine and love 🥰 the gardening content (more gardening vlogs would be appreciated). The garden is certainly a work in progress. Good to see Alex more in the vlogs. A lovely trip to the garden centre and a lot of plants. Have a great Friday and weekend.
I understand why you want to justify your choices but what a pressure on your shoulders Madeleine! you're such a balanced person and in my opinion you should not pay too much attention to the "vegan police".
Loved hearing about your knowledge of veganism etc. it seems people are all for being kind to animals but are forgetting humans are also animals and we should also be kind to each other!
Does your municipality pick up garden waste? If so, that is such a great idea. Our county (US) has a compost facility that was once free to the public but demand was more than supply. We put larger garden debris such as tree limbs piled up in front for pick up. They also provided large paper bags for smaller garden clippings and weeds. The bags are not very good if it rains. The bins are a much better idea and if food scraps are allowed, even better.
This is one of my favourite vlogs. Loved the walk in the countryside with Alex and Roxy. It’s got to be refreshing and relaxing being out there. How sweet was that horse following you, and, what WERE those cows doing? When you were getting ready for The Bean Inn, and talking with Alex about how far in advance one gets ready for a special night out…Alex’s edit, at that point when you were having trouble explaining yourself, was so funny😂. Appreciate your humour, Alex, throughout the video, as well as, your opinions, too. I agree with your ‘Ted Talk’, Madeleine, take the “lesser of two weevils” path😉 (Master and Commander movie reference). I’ve made a seitan rib recipe before, and they turned out so good. I’m also daunted by making seitan, and I don’t know why, as it is quite simple, as you say. You’ve accomplished a lot in your garden. Great job! Last thing, I like your black & white cat…they’re so affectionate!
Maddie! I love your videos, I have noticed I have dropped off of RUclips recently (life circumstances) and you are now the only person I keep up with! I’ve been vegan for 8, nearly 9 years! And last year I bought second hand old skool vans that have leather in them. I don’t go out of my way to purchase second hand leather/wool, because it does freak me out if I start thinking too hard, but I wear those shoes probably the most out of any in my wardrobe! I think purchasing secondhand still comes under vegan, for all of the things you said. Again, I love your videos, I really appreciate your views on things. I think you show people that being vegan is attainable, because sometimes it is viewed as this extreme lifestyle and people just don’t bother!
I’ve actually got brow lamination done a couple of times. Same as you I have thick eyebrows, but they are a bit hard to tame. I loved the look, however - the lotions applied on my brows made my brows lighter, and 2nd - which was the main reason that I do not do them anymore is that he lotion was so harsh on my skin. My skin around my eyebrows got all red, my skin was sensitive for days and it hurt even when brushing my eyebrows. So would probably not recommend if you have sensitive skin.
@@carolfranco425 I’ve also did it a few times myself and had the same reaction. Personally I don’t think something that strong should be applied on the skin anyways- on the long term it can’t be really good for you. But of course it’s up to everyone to decide for themselves ☺️🙏
Maddie, I’m from New York and I must say I am a bit like Alex. I would be afraid of gaining pounds prior to wedding event - so planning it way too ahead wouldn’t work for me. 😊
What you’re saying is so pertinent! I think a lot of stereotypes about veganism come from the backlash people get of some members of the community making it sound very radical and condescending. As long as you do your best today that’s already better than not trying at all and I think the key lies in balance and staying aligned with your own values. Not one vision is perfect and not one person holds the key to perfection either. I think it’s so condescending and passé to try to breakdown someone’s effort just to say you’re not vegan IF. It is not constructive nor necessary so thank you for addressing it. Being lectured won’t get people motivated into making changes it’s all in the education and small beginnings.
I don’t know why someone would comment on somebody else’s diet, lifestyle, beliefs etc. We all lead different lives and the world be a boring place if we were all the same. A quote from my mum “ if you don’t have anything nice to say…. Don’t speak ! ❤
I have a third and even a fourth lobe piercing as well as two in the upper cartilage on both ears! I’ve never been told they make me look downgraded haha, I also have 15 tattoos 😏
i loved the ted talk! i’m plant based and buy cruelty free as much as possible but i agree there’s only so much we can do in a non vegan world! I’m only one person and i don’t hold myself to some impossible standard of veganism. i think anyone trying their best will be helpful in the long run
Great vlog Madeleine. Can you say which garden centre you went to, we go to a few in Cornwall and didn’t recognise this one. It’s great when you can go to a restaurant and you can choose something from the whole menu! May have to check The Bean Inn! ❤
If you go to get your brows laminated, please make sure to tell them not to bluck at all or very little. I had a horrible experience once when my brows got really badly over blucked 😓😟 Otherwise the lamination is very nice! 😊
After hearing you hype the brand, I was terribly saddened when I learned that Skin + Me is only available to residents of the UK 😆 Is there possibly an alternative for folks in the US?
do your shoes have any arch support?? i have learned that i can no longer really wear shoes that dont have any arch support otherwise ill injure my feet when walking =/
Minor gripe, could the video be more about gardening if the title & thumbnail is you gardening? Otherwise lovely to see things flourishing with the house etc
I'm the multiple ear-piercing critic! Well, that's me put in my place ~ do I get a prize for the longest word-for-word requoted subscriber Maddie? (please don't send earrings 😀). Those horses/ponies? were absolutely gorgeous, and so tame. The vegan ribs look so scrumptious...definitely going to give them a go!
I want to take the time to say thank you for sharing your view. I am someone who is not vegan but is trying to make more conscious efforts to do things in a healthy way and to still somehow protect the Earth. I have seen from the outside how mean hearts of the vegan community can be. And I'm glad that you would dress there are so many gray areas and facets to veganism. I am someone as I stated who is not vegan but I had leather for a bag that I no longer wanted but then I personally turn into other things. I didn't waste any water I reused what was in my home. Therefore no harm to the environment or the planet. But you had stated that just because you get PVC which is plastic vegan leather what harm is that doing to the environment? This is the one thing that I have always said to anyone whether you are vegan not vegan Christian not Christian spiritual or not spiritual, it is not about the life you live but it's about the life you lead. Because at the end of the day no one cares that you're vegan if you are a mean and horrible person. Some of the nicest sweetest warming people may or may not be vegan but to you who are as I quote unquote call the mean girls or the mean boys of vegan life will poke all types of holes in that person who is kind but it just so happened that they eat me or they wear wool or they wear leather. It's just perspective but that's my two cent. I've always loved your channel you still have me as a subscriber if anything I adore you more and more when you address this and I appreciate you❤
I will buy secondhand leather and wool And would not ever throw out existing leather (or wool) to replace, i feel thats just wasteful Not only the getting rid of said materials But also the need to buy other stuff which needs the production of the materials their made of
I agree with you, vegans should feel free to purchase used leather goods, we all have to just do the best we can to be mindful & that doesn't mean that we have to be perfect... there is no such thing as perfection... be calm & carry on ☺️💕
loved your chat maddie! recently saw comments on a vegan page on facebook saying 'being vegetarian is as bad as eating meat' and i just can't get round that black and white attitude. it's sadly not possible in the capitalist, non-vegan society we live in where so many people face barriers to full veganism to be so rigid in our thinking. any chance to reduce animal and environmental harm i think is good, and couldn't agree more with your thoughts on leather
I loved your rant. I attempted and failed at veganism due to digestive issues so I am now pesctarian. What really upsets me is how aggressive verbally many vegans are to their fellow humans. I know youtuber Fairly Local Vegan changed her channel name to Fairly Local Family because of the grief she got for buying second hand leather and wool. I am not surprised that people prefer to use plant based rather than vegan.
I agree with your Ted talk ! If you think of it from a spectrum perspective. You would have meat eaters on one end and extreme vegans on the other and then everything in between . I call myself a reductarian because I believe that extreme veganism is not relatable to 90% of the world population. By if you encourage everyone to reduce meat intake and make choices that work for them then that will have a greater impact instead of being so judgemental of people.
My personal veiw on veganism, is that you wouldn't want to own any animal skin. 2nd hand or not. At least eating meat is part of our natural diet. Killing animals for fashion is worse.
Shame there is so much finger pointing. It’s all become so political. Continue what you are doing and what feels right to you. It’s easy to say ignore all the judgements but I get the impression you are doing just fine. Loved your passive aggressive ‘Ted’ talk and happy for you to buy a secondhand leather back…because it’s what you want to do. Love from London xx
I'm vegan and don't buy any kind of animal based fibres or anything even if second hand because my brain has such an association that i can't separate it from the source. But that is just how my brain works, but if you do buy second hand stuff like that or you own stiff like that from before then you are still vegan. Everyone has to do what works for them and they are comfortable with
I agree, I can’t use anything that caused the death of another being. I do own wool products where I can trace the product to healthy well cared for sheep. I also agree with Maddie’s ted talk. Being vegan is so nuanced and it is impossible to cause no bad effects on the planet in our society. I’m just so happy that more and more people are becoming aware of the impact they are having. It is just sad that so many wealthy capitalists don’t care enough to reduce their profits in order to make a noticeable impact on the planet. Hopefully, when enough members of the general population are more aware the big businesses who are making the largest negative impact on the planet will have to bow to peer pressure in order to succeed financially.
There are so many vegans who give abuse to people who are not the perfect kind of vegan or not being vegan, and yet they are still driving cars. Quite amusing considering the materials used to make car tyres and various other parts. The best thing is for everyone to do what is best for them in the most sustainable and animal friendly way possible, and others should just keep their opinions to themselves if they can't be kind or constructive. Madeleine you look gorgeous as always.
I love your videos. I'm at the beginning of my journey to be more ecological and sustainable and your videos don't make me feel like I'm failing because I'm doing it one change at a time. Let the haters hate and keep doing what your doing.
I bought a leather tote bag in Japan when I was 19. It looks brand new despite constant wear over the last decade. Meanwhile, my newer PU bags have all disintegrated. Same with shoes, I buy leather, because I know I can wear them for years
I love how the conversation around veganism in the +11 years I've been vegan has grown and become much more nuanced! Vegan leather is often just a product of capitalism, and we have to consider all the aspects of our consumption of goods. I stand with you in buying non-vegan items second hand. Everyone is so interested in a black and white narrative, even compassionate people like vegans, that we forget nuance, that experiences can be different, and even the ramifications of perceived positive choices. Keep up the conversation Maddie, it's so important!
Lol Im totally Alex at the greenhouse... Abandon trolly, it's too annoying, and also the "Is there a plan to this?" 😆 (I say to myself over and over as i put things back) Love the sass regarding that peircing comment 😆👍 Im a 10yr vegan too :) (and 38yrs old) so have had plenty of time to examine the world through both a carnist and vegan lense, and share your vegan sentiments. But i also ask myself if im promoting the nonvegan item bc others will see it and want it and go buy it new. It's truly a dilemma 😩. And i felt bad one time for using my sisters non vegan nail polish bc i was contributing to using it up, and she'd just go and buy more. So things like that im not reeeally ok with, and are similar to the "oh just pick the meat out of the dish" type comments 🙄. It's something non-vegans sometimes just cant wrap their heads around 🤦♀️. It's def not the same as me still wearing my old leather shoes, or if something has a bit of leather or wool etc on it from a 2nd hand store, or if someone gives me used products they dont want anymore and wld otherwise throw out. It does sadden me to know that im wearing the skin from a tortured animal, or putting body parts and excrements on my skin, but good... if i didnt have those feelings i wld still be an abettor or a cog in the wheel of animal cognitive dissonance. So i still like to avoid the use of nonvegan things, but again, i think its better than putting it in the landfill and contributing to more waste etc. And again, i agree with /everything/ u said. Some nonvegans AND vegans are kinda dumb and don't understand the scope of things. We still have to exist in this nonvegan cruel world, and as much as some vegans think we shld all be hippies living off grid etc, or that vegan haters wld love for us to sit in a corner and not exist, we're here, and we'll keep doing our best WHERE WE CAN at trying to turn the tide for a better more compassionate world. 🌱✊❤
I think you look nice with makeup, but I think you look even better without it. I could not wait to be old enough to wear makeup, but by the time I got out of school I already stopped wearing it. Now I have been completely makeup free for the last 30 years.
I wonder if its worth relabelling the term "vegan" to "ethical consumption", and not putting any rules onto that label either other than the fact that you're doing your best in a non-vegan world. For example, there are people who will coexist with their farm animals in order to symbiotically produce food/care for each other, closing the loop wherever possible; and consume the products of said animals, without adding additional harm from consuming the same products of non-ethical suppliers. That to me is also attempting a life of sustainability. BUT if you align with cruelty free and think having farm animals in that symbiotic relationship to be "cruel" then that isn't necessarily the same as "ethical consumption" and shouldn't be conflated to be the same thing. That is just my opinion though, i know others will disagree.
I listened to your whole TedTalk and am not vegan but I do have a serious question, and I am asking because I REALLY want to know….if you are Vegan (no animal products) then WHY do you buy/make/eat MEAT…animal looking things? Chicken nuggets, burgers, ribs, etc. ??? I just don’t understand. Like you made those fakes ribs LOOK like meat?!? If you are opposed to meat, why make your veggies, look like meat? Really am curious, thanks in advance helping me understand this mindset. Love your videos.
I 100% agree with you about second hand leather. It is so much more sustainable to use what already exists and will reduce the consumption of new leather. As a vegan vintage seller I'm happy to sell second hand and vintage leather for this reason.
Ohh I look forward to the seitan recipe. I’ve made a seitan loaf before and I could use some tips. Always love the pet/animal cameos. That pony was so cute following you around😻
Totally agree with everything you said re veganism, and I truly believe that if more of us had this inclusive, non-judgemental view then there would be far more people reducing their consumption of animal products and far less negative connotations around the term veganism. For me veganism is all about compassion - for the animals, for the planet, for yourself, and for others, regardless of their very personal food choices. The vast majority of people don’t want to cause unnecessary harm to animals. If leading with compassion, curiosity and by example, I think it’s difficult for anyone to question your decisions (although people inevitably will anyway because this is the internet and people can be crazy 🤣🤣) ❤️ Love you and your channel - by far my favourite person online, thank you and Alex for all you do ❤️❤️
I agree with you Madeleine, if it exists you are being sustainable. Love your videos have been following you and Alex for a few years now and I love every video!
Another great vlog. I have can absolutely see that your skin is looking great! Thank you for the talk on Veganism and it's great if we could all make a difference in our own lives. Even if it's picking up a bit of litter when you're on a walk or leaving a patch of garden to be wild, planting bee friendly seeds. Whatever it is, we can all make a contribution.
wish people would chill on the critiques, and let people do their best without discouraging them from trying at all. amen to stopping the barriers, we have to live in the grey areas because thats REALITY. Gatekeeping these things keeps people from trying at all! When more and more people are making more vegan/sustainable/ect choices, even if they arent living the full lifestyle, they do so much more good collectively, and signaling to companies, than being discouraged by the 10 "perfect" vegans on this earth who act like everyone is shite if they cant live up to that standard.
I loved and so appreciated your TedTalk. I’ve been vegan for 12 years, and I’ve gone thru phases of being very strict and judgmental, and angry. Such nice video the horses and animals all over.
Love it 🥰
Petition to have Alex and his shenanigans in every video!!!
I totally love how he pops up in the background. it is so funny! 😀
Great Ted Talk Madeleine and I totally agree with your stance on buying second hand. I’ve been vegan for 7 years.

I just got an allotment last month and this video is fantastic timing! I am dealing with my own fears of getting it right.
Congratulations on the new allotment and I have had mine for 4 years and have really enjoyed it with the home grown vegetables and fruits which has contributed to my diet.
I got a raised bad but 9 months pregnant so my mum is looking after it for me currently! She has an allotment herself!
Loved your TED talk pop off queen
Love the black dress. Might be worth taking the bottom button off to move to replace the missing one as it would be less noticeable x

I really like your hair pulled back! I hadn’t realised how long your garden is!
I Enjoy watching your videos thank you - & hubby makes me chuckle 🤭 🪻
Maddie just be yourself and do your own thing. We do live in a non vegan world and it's hard. Sending hugs ❤
Beautiful video 😊
43:10 Alex’s on-screen text 😂
Bought a dress for a wedding for July in January. But I won’t be able to wear it now 😅 so too in advance is also silly
I can't wait for that recipe!
Possibly the lamination solution was left on too long, that is why there is sensitivity or redness. ---maybe try another brow technician. 💕
@@carolfranco425 I’ve also did it a few times myself and had the same reaction. Personally I don’t think something that strong should be applied on the skin anyways- on the long term it can’t be really good for you. But of course it’s up to everyone to decide for themselves ☺️🙏
I loved and agree completely with your TedTalk😀
Maddie, I’m from New York and I must say I am a bit like Alex. I would be afraid of gaining pounds prior to wedding event - so planning it way too ahead wouldn’t work for me. 😊
Great content…thanks for Vivaia discount code hopefully ‘comfy’ shoes on the way ( ordered Margot) have a great week. Alison x
You looked stunning for your meal out ❤ Has anyone ever said you look like Nigella Lawson? You guys are sooooo alike ❤❤❤
You also have supplements in your smoothies that are natural boosters and your active.
Alex did make me lol when he said the cows were on one. 😅
😂😂😂😂 maddy you are endearing!!!❤
I see a greenhouse in your future
I don’t know why someone would comment on somebody else’s diet, lifestyle, beliefs etc. We all lead different lives and the world be a boring place if we were all the same. A quote from my mum “ if you don’t have anything nice to say…. Don’t speak ! ❤
"Downmarket" 😂. Nowt as strange as folk 😂 You look fabulous 😊.
I have a third and even a fourth lobe piercing as well as two in the upper cartilage on both ears! I’ve never been told they make me look downgraded haha, I also have 15 tattoos 😏
loved alex using the mirror to protect himself from the hair spray 😂
i loved the ted talk! i’m plant based and buy cruelty free as much as possible but i agree there’s only so much we can do in a non vegan world!
Trevena cross! It’s a fave!
@@MadeleineOlivia Oh thanks darling thats great! Will get hubby to take me!! 😘
If you go to get your brows laminated, please make sure to tell them not to bluck at all or very little. I had a horrible experience once when my brows got really badly over blucked 😓😟
Otherwise the lamination is very nice! 😊
Good points, just do your best people. I think your “rant”😊was great! Lol re Ted talk 😉
With the RMS beauty stuff, the luminizer has beeswax but the uncoverup concealer is vegan.
Even in the close up she still has good skin
I'm the multiple ear-piercing critic! Well, that's me put in my place ~ do I get a prize for the longest word-for-word requoted subscriber Maddie? (please don't send earrings 😀). Those horses/ponies? were absolutely gorgeous, and so tame. The vegan ribs look so scrumptious...definitely going to give them a go!
My ear piercings (two on each ear) do dig into my ears more at night, I have to say😂.
Is there a spare button attached to the inside seem of your dress? xxx
I've always loved your channel you still have me as a subscriber if anything I adore you more and more when you address this and I appreciate you❤
I will buy secondhand leather and wool
And would not ever throw out existing leather (or wool) to replace, i feel thats just wasteful
Not only the getting rid of said materials
But also the need to buy other stuff which needs the production of the materials their made of
I agree with you, vegans should feel free to purchase used leather goods, we all have to just do the best we can to be mindful & that doesn't mean that we have to be perfect... there is no such thing as perfection... be calm & carry on ☺️💕
loved your chat maddie! recently saw comments on a vegan page on facebook saying 'being vegetarian is as bad as eating meat' and i just can't get round that black and white attitude. it's sadly not possible in the capitalist, non-vegan society we live in where so many people face barriers to full veganism to be so rigid in our thinking. any chance to reduce animal and environmental harm i think is good, and couldn't agree more with your thoughts on leather
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I loved your rant. I attempted and failed at veganism due to digestive issues so I am now pesctarian. What really upsets me is how aggressive verbally many vegans are to their fellow humans. I know youtuber Fairly Local Vegan changed her channel name to Fairly Local Family because of the grief she got for buying second hand leather and wool. I am not surprised that people prefer to use plant based rather than vegan.
Be careful with those insurance and car hire companies. They'll stuff you around for as long as they can to get more money out of it.
:)
I suppose the fact is walking about with a skinned animal on your shoulder whether old or new is pretty horrendous to some people.
Alex’s edits are hilarious 😂 I love the dynamic between you two
Ooh, Maddie, your videos are a joy to watch❤ I usually don't work on Thursdays and I look fwd to your videos every week! Love love love your content!
Oh my - that whole rib segment got me so hyped to try making seitan at home! They look sooo goood!
Abandon trolly, it's too annoying, and also the "Is there a plan to this?" 😆 (I say to myself over and over as i put things back)
Love the sass regarding that peircing comment 😆👍
Im a 10yr vegan too :) (and 38yrs old) so have had plenty of time to examine the world through both a carnist and vegan lense, and share your vegan sentiments. 🌱✊❤
Thanks Maddie, I also loved your Ted Talk! I have learnt so much from you, your content is such a positive inspiring force, thankyou😊
Ohhhh, very excited to see how your garden comes together. Your seed selection looks like it's going to be a pretty garden year!
Your style is so inspirational for me!
Already clicked "like" for the horses ❤, now watching the rest... (The last 48 minutes 😂)
go Madeleine, when you talked about your handbag you made some really good points well done. I love watching you and Alex xx
Lol love how Alex just walks away with the whole board of ribs 😊
I listened to your whole TedTalk and am not vegan but I do have a serious question, and I am asking because I REALLY want to know….if you are Vegan (no animal products) then WHY do you buy/make/eat MEAT…animal looking things? Chicken nuggets, burgers, ribs, etc. ??? I just don’t understand. Like you made those fakes ribs LOOK like meat?!? If you are opposed to meat, why make your veggies, look like meat? Really am curious, thanks in advance helping me understand this mindset. Love your videos.
Because we grew up eating meat and love the taste! I’m vegan for ethical reasons xx
I 100% agree with you about second hand leather. It is so much more sustainable to use what already exists and will reduce the consumption of new leather. As a vegan vintage seller I'm happy to sell second hand and vintage leather for this reason.
I also forgot to mention how much I love your TED talking. You are right on the point 👍
Considerate sustainability and diversify.
If leading with compassion, curiosity and by example, I think it’s difficult for anyone to question your decisions (although people inevitably will anyway because this is the internet and people can be crazy 🤣🤣) ❤️ Love you and your channel - by far my favourite person online, thank you and Alex for all you do ❤️❤️
I think I love your videos so much, because sometimes they remind me of old cooking channel videos, and they’re so nostalgic
To be honest im not fan of long vlogs but u always have way to sit me down intel the last second ❤❤❤
wish people would chill on the critiques, and let people do their best without discouraging them from trying at all. amen to stopping the barriers, we have to live in the grey areas because thats REALITY.
