I am from the USA, found you during c-19.and am a Grandmother of 4 and a great grandmother of 1. Love what you put out. I have learned so much from you. Never to old to learn. Also good for my sole. Much love to you and Alex.
I always find it astonishing that you can get so much done on a Sunday. Here in France all the shops are closed and there’s not much to do except going on walks or staying in.
I‘m from Germany too and I always loved the lazy sundays. The only thing you do is going for a walk, getting coffee with friends or hanging out at home.
Maddie! If you use a wax pencil, you can write the date you cooked the food on the lid of those glass containers with the snap lids. And it washes off pretty easily. It. Changed. My. Life! Thanks for all you do!
Dreaming of the future and longing for the past doesn’t make for a happy life. Life is about noticing the here now and that can be as simple as relaxing into a tv show without feeling bad about it. Planning too much, lists and setting goals can mean we miss the whole thing. There’s beauty in the nothingness, in the here now.
I agree, but I think the quote was saying that too… cherish the time you have. That moment. It struck a cord with me. In fact so much so, that I sent a screen grab video of it to my grown up ‘children’.
It's interesting to see how other people manage themselves. Personally, I do 'chores' (meal plan, weekly shop, cleaning the bathroom, etc) Mon to Fri and treat the weekend as pure leisure and lazing time.
Idea for your fridge as you said you want everything in it to be visible: you can buy these lazy Susan type things that are like little turntables and you put them in the fridge with all your jars and things on them so you don’t have to rummage around finding things, you can just rotate it and see everything. It’s a GAME CHANGER! I’ve also been using them for bottles of oil, vinegar, soy sauce, and in my shelves in the kitchen.
Great video as always! 😊 When I have a lazy Sunday and don't prepare for the week, I always feel anxious on Mondays and generally I'm such a mess.. it's definitely worth it to spend a few hours organising the week. Also, I used to hate meal prepping, but now it's just part of my weekend routine and I love it, less stress during the week, less food waste and healthier eating!
Congratulations to you, Alex, your parents and especially your sister and brother-in-law who are expecting a baby in April. How wonderful and exciting that you're going to be an Auntie soon! 👶 🎉🍾🥂✨
Really enjoying watching you again - made me smile at start re Roxie when you called for her using ...'Treat' - I have a Yorkshire Terrier & she will react to her name but not always - I use Treats or Lets get ready - haha. you & Alex are so good with her. Its good you show that things don't always go to plan - I like that about you - its as it should be - we can all relate to that & its life isn't it. I would like to add you mentioned Kay off 'Living the Life' You Love' recently - she is a favourite of mine - I really like her too - I thought that was really kind & thoughtful of you as a fellow RUclipsr. (She is also planning her wedding this year). Do you & Alex plan to put a brief Vlog together for your RUclips followers, just summarising your Wedding Day at all ? (I know a wedding is a private occasion - but it would be so nice. Lily Pebbles did a vlog & it just captured her day so well - was so nice of her to share & acknowledge her followers I thought). You both must be so excited now with arranging your wedding - you look so happy ! - its so nice to see ! - It may seem overwhelming planning everything but it will all come together you'll see ....x :)
We share a note for our shopping list on our iPhones, then whoever is shopping knows they can't duplicate buying anything - it works brilliantly for us! We both add items to the list when we use them up through the week, or if there's something we need for a new recipe we'd like to try, so it's always up to date, too. xx
Love the sound of the apps you're using! Your life is literally the dream - so challenging but you are so capable! I really hope in a couple of years I get my shit together as much as you have
Trust me my shit isn’t this together a LOT of the time! I am in the process of trying to get my shit together more after some difficult periods of mental health. It’s so hard but it helps and is helping me so much ❤️
not sure if this is your type of content to film but the way you explained your trello and how you use it sounds👌🏽would be really interested in seeing how you set this up. as a content creator trying to take things more seriously, would be great to know. also, adoreeeee a Sunday reset vlog vibe x
Is there a reason you didn't roast all those veggies in the Aga? I always found that any roasted food tasted 10 times better done in the Aga ... and of course it keeps the electric bill down too 😀
Hi Maddie-fun vlog! Inspiring re: fitness and cleaning out that fridge; the planning review/reset is also so helpful. Tip for you-hang a whiteboard inside a cupboard door. Note leftover food dates/opened dates for condiments. Saves waste. We use masking tape & a permanent marker & date tons of food. Not as sustainable but saves food waste & my husband has a digestive condition so he's super careful. Thanks again for a great video!
You ARE tall! Loved this blog helped me a lot to inspire my week even if my mind has been working against me. You are right, we gotta work to be 30 and flirtly and thriving!
Did you know you can now buy ready to eat quinoa in a tin by Napolina. I got mine from Ocado but I know they’re in some Asda. They also do chickpeas and other stuff ready to eat, no rinsing needed.
That flower painting fits the kitchen so well! I will look up trello, I’m going to need a digital method of managing projects, though I think my potential new job mostly uses MS Project.
God loves the overstocked mayo pickle sauces fridge and I thought it was only me no room for food!! Loved the how to do the done list. Thoroughly lovely vlog as always
Maddie - you make me long to live in the UK! Do you have a granny flat for an older auntie? 😜 I do so love these kinds of videos - they inspire me to get more organized & eat better! I would’ve loved to have gone in the shop with you. One last thing - not to add to your already busy schedule but have you ever considered doing a podcast? I ask b/c I sometimes take you in the kitchen with me to help me clean out my fridge (like you took TS) 😁. Thanks for sharing your life with us - looking forward to your cooking videos. Be well! Blessings & Hugs! 🧡🌻
Loved the video, Maddie! Two questions, where is your dainty small disc necklace from? And also what size do you wear in the Organic Basics boxy wool jumper? Hugs.
Are the oatly barista ingredients the same as the US version?? They sell it in the fridge here but it would be nice to know if I could store it in the cupboard instead
Ahhhh!!! I love it! 30 and flirty and thriving (not sure it was intentional as i commented this on one of ur IG posts i think or yt but either way lol) love it as its my message to myself in my 30s ^_^ love your cosyness in this video and you being your authentic self. P.s. what helps me with being productive but not putting too much on my list is to deligate my tasks to others in my household (like u said about giving outdoor task to alex). I found this so helpful and puts it off my shoulders knowing i can rely on others :)
What about uploading on Tuesdays and Fridays? This way you have Monday to ease into the week and to work out any last minute hiccups and also so you’re not working on the weekend. You guys need rest too and deserve to off days off as well. You have to take care of yourself first sometimes and that includes having a work life balance.
Maddy, have you ever considered filming about mental health, happiness, and similar things? I mean, your thoughts on life overall, videos especially made on that topic. I would really like to see that from you. Greetings from Croatia
Oh Madeleine, I so needed that quote so thank you. I’m new to your channel and oh my goodness what an inspiration. I could watch all day but I too am a grown up so better show some restraint😆. Hope you are having a great week xxx
A suggestion, why don't you just upload one video a week? Don´t get my wrong, I would love a new video every single day, but maybe just one video a week is the best :) So you can retake your weekends and not overwork from Monday to Friday. I know that a lot of us won´t mind it!!
I feel like that's the epitome of your thirties, when you have 2 sets of any one thing! I have similar things like that, because my brain doesn't remember things; so I need multiples of things available to me in different parts of my life lol

@@MadeleineOlivia I love it! I just have to get really organized during the week considering I work on Saturdays.

When you said "treat" to Roxie, my dog walked over, expectantly 😂
1st you inspired me to start skin care 2 times a day instead of once. Now you’ve inspired me to push myself at the gym! Thank you!
Yessss you’ve got this! It makes such a huge difference!
Love that quote at the beginning, I need to remember to live in the moment and enjoy these years x
It's interesting to see how other people manage themselves. Personally, I do 'chores' (meal plan, weekly shop, cleaning the bathroom, etc) Mon to Fri and treat the weekend as pure leisure and lazing time.
I am learning to do that. Growing up we were gone all day. Never wanted to clean and tidy till Saturday. And sunday was chill day.
I look forward to your videos. You are really motivating. I hope you know how valuable and inspiring you are. Thank you.
