- Let's compare some miniatures games! I've played 10 different games and have lots of thoughts about them.

Really interesting to learn about a solid selection of games, thanks for putting this together! I'm fairly new to minis (though I've been around them at LGSs for decades), so it's nice to see a levelheaded take on the pros and cons of different systems. That dueling mechanic in Middle-earth sounds exciting!
Definitely agree on AoS about “having” to buy the faction terrain. You and I played this weekend and that “free” terrain could have given either of us the win in a very close game
Really enjoyed the video! The ranking is subjective but you stated a lot of plain facts about the games that are helpful for people to hear. We should make a mesbg video soon!
I had a similar start to tabletop war games. I started playing 40k in middle school put it down for a while and came back in 6th edition. Generally it was fun but there were a lot of people that just were not fun to play against. I started playing other games systems and realized how archaic 40k's system was and never went back.
I found shatter point had really cool minis but laughably bad rules. Mcp was much better with game mechanics and objectives. I perfer malifaux as the skirmish game of choice but you said you like established settings so I get why you might not look into that.
Shatteroint is such a weird one to me. I totally get what you’re saying. It literally took 10 games for me to even understand how to play the game correctly. You can even get screwed over hard if you misdeploy!
Marvel crisis is boring
How so? I prefer skirmish games to full armies and think it’s fantastic as far as low model count games go
