I'm pretty sure the passenger plenum has a slot instead of a hole so it can slide out. Don't think you needed to cut the bolt.
Can’t believe you went that far and went into this much work and then sawed off a bolt. 😂
Just did new riff raff plenums no need to cut just loosen as much as you can then pry off and slide it out, riff raff machined the plenums to slide under that bolt. You can then tighten it back down to assure you have a proper seal.
My question is, Why? What does the riff raff do different? Just looks?
ORINGS no sealant????? Riffraff is reliable shipping and they only sell what usually works best.Im tore on the intake manifold they only have afe... i dont want cast aluminum so Im looking at sinister billet aluminum american made west coast outside sacramento. Riffraff is west coast and they have a wharehouse and reliable and dont outsource ship from. sorry if you like xtreme diesel never again 2 weeks for a fass mount bracket. Plenum for riffraff uses an oring to seal. Not rtv like even more expensive beans. you can find cheaper billet but you have to use sealent. Raised design on both sides for airflow others are flat or raised one side only. then you can pick color. others like swag outsource and delay ship 3 days while riffraff stocks colors. most wont ever see plenum mod but they may the orange with battle ship gray paint After he spent an hour cleaning off the factory sealent hell why not paint it great idea Nick.
should have drilled out or replace them banjo bolts in the back of the head as you was there if you havnt yet.. awsome video
Hey man when I was removing my inatke plenum, I place the bolts on another car. It drove off before i even realized and now i cant find any anywhere. Do you have the link to those Allen ones you used??
What point this change???
I could of swore I saw you install these a year or so ago @FixItNick
It's an oldie but still Goldy👍😉

I think he's re-uploading videos that were pulled off RUclips. Whether by him to avoid haters or by RUclips because they didn't like some of his comments, I couldn't say.
What tools did you use to remove the one bolt under the fuel lines connected to the bowl and what tool did you use to loosen the bolt in the back so you was able to cut it off because I can't get a socket or wrench on it
What fuel line are you running from fuel bowl to heads
@FixItNick curious what brand/type and paint color you used to paint your 7.3 valley, and if you painted anywhere else on the motor?
Just painted the valley, dupli color engine paint gray
Wow it’s looking great
What do these improve on?
No rust and will not bend or warp
when retighten the clamps over the boots from turbo manifold intake spider the oem ford thin stock tin crush, riffraff sales inserts to prevent this crush oem plenums. but its usually too late if the spider was taken off or working on hpop and fuel lines and turbo it gets removed alot on 7.3. Does it help airflow? if your going to go with a bigger turbo yes and it makes a good seal with the boots to spider. The oring seal is a huge sale point if you ever take them off again but why would you. once you take off the spider you will understand.
Very cool video 👍👍
I believe you made a huge error cutting that bolt off. Leaving a stud in the block is a no-no. That might come back to bite you in the future. Otherwise, you did a good job with the clean-up and painting. Looks really good.
"BIte you in the future" - How so? If you don't cut the bolt you have to remove the entire HPOP Res to get it out as 1 piece.
your proubly done this before and not a troll? your not a heart or brain surgeon. bolt hits the hpop. contamination and all the oil you have a big mess . if you taken a hpop out 3 times you understand and riffraff left no hole on their plenum because of this. its a slider hole. If you have $6000 and can just buy turbo, hpop, turbo uppipes, turbo downpipes, fuel bowl delete, fuel line pressure regulator, at once and not have to take the spider out one time sure. If you noticed he took the fuel bowl out
If you do the injectors( If you haven’t already) your gonna have fun doing that but the last bolt on the valve cover for the passenger side in the back between the firewall and engine boy you’ll have fun with that🙄
That’s for sure
