Didn't bother me at all. Singing for an audience is totally different from singing in character. One of my best memories (long ago) is Goulet singing a song to me at the Coconut Grove. Thrilling teenagers seemed to be a thing for him.. Thank you, Robert, I will never forget.)
I am not impressed by these celebs offering their own interpretations of the songs. In doing so, they are making it about themselves and not the writers they are supposed to be honoring. The best performance is by Don Ameche who acts the song honestly.
Karen Cooper, Fairgate, MacKenzie... You sing, Girl!!
Thanks so much for posting this. I'm huge Lerner and Loewe fan and remembered this from years ago.
if anybody deserved the award its these two titans of b'way
surprised that Julie Andrews didnt perform this evening!
Wasn't this year, the same year of her surgery? :-( Maybe that's why
@@AndreinaGarbanNo. The vocal surgery wasn’t until the late 90’s.
I wish someone could clean up the audio. Great video.
Robert Goulet! Robert Goulet! My God, Robert Goulet!
Another Winner! Thanks Rico G for posting these amazing tributes!
Great to see Michelle Lee and her terrific voice…just wish her performance wasn't split in half...
Goulet took too many vocal liberties with his signature song.

Why didn't Julie Andrews appear at this tribute?
Dave Glo probably something to do with the film rights
Still pouting about not being in the movie version of MFL
Marcel Audubon yea...right...
@@Marcel_Audubon You’re a fool
Weird that they closed with A Little Bit of Luck, not to mention the two didn't even get a standing o.

Where were Julie Andrews, Audrey Hepburn and the other stars? Michelle Lee was the best they could do?
Michelle Lee was a Broadway legend. Quit mithering...!
