    Got basically the same enclosure from sculpfun no light or fan, hooked it up to a 72 cfm inline fan and that wasn't enough to keep all the smoke from coming out. It would be helpful to use a vane anemometer ($30) to evaluate fan flow

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  2 года назад

      If you are having an issue with the smoke coming out, try some blue tape or something round the bottom edge to restrict air intake and create negative pressure inside. That is the only issue with the open bottom enclosures, they sometimes let too much air exchange through the bottom. This one actually did a decent job of sealing itself against the table.

      @@TheClackShack I can see the sides pulling in - I have increased the air flow and pretty sure it is adequate now. Thanks

    For a extended laser I found a VIVOSUN grow room plenty of room for lighting over head and a camera. Or I found a sauna room. All of them look like the same materials. Even the 1 in the video looks similar. Except the grow rooms and sauna have a reflective inner wall

      The latest comgrow enclosure is very similar.

      @@TheClackShack unless I missed it. I didn't see the same size. The room that I ended up with for my xtool with extension kit was 24x48x60. Amazon for $105

      @@anthonysanders3960 , I can’t remember the dimensions but it was close. I don’t have a long body to try it with. I am sure someone will release one specific for them soon

    Do you think it would hold the D1 pro with the new rotary tool (RA2?) with both sets of leg extensions? As far as the height.

    Think I prefer the models from Xtool and Atezr where there is no internal frame, what are your thoughts when comparing them?

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  2 года назад +1

      There are many different designs and models out there. Each has its own set of advantages based on intended use. The frame isn’t bad and does allow mounting of custom additions if needed. It also is easy to store if needed. In my situation, I use fixed enclosures but keep the portables around for those large object jobs.
      Personally, I would like to see a kit made from hard panels that can be fitted together with metal brackets to create an enclosure. It could be expanded to fit long machines also.

      I have the xtool enclosure and find it doesn’t do the job. My whole house is smoky when I use it, so I had to sideline it until I find a better solution.

    does the screen protect your eyes, or do you need the glasses as well?

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  2 года назад

      It says that it is laser resistant, I have no meter to test. I wear glasses as a precaution.

    Interesting looking enclosure. Only issue I see with that filter is it getting clogged with dust from material like luan plywood or other materials that generate both smoke and dust. It would be nice to find an enclosure that accommodates the Xtool extension size.

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  2 года назад +1

      If venting outside, I would probably toss the filter and just blow out the fan from tie to time.

    • @edhiestand1197

      Pretty sure they have one on their site, just adds on to their regular enclosure.
