    Home Depot has a good price, better than Amazon, have it shipped to your house or a nearby store (I believe they waive shipping when shipped to a store).

    *Great lightweight screwdriver **MyBest.Tools** and the light definitely came in handy when securing our ceiling diffuser. Battery was still charged for over a month.*

      I haven’t had to deal with it, but buying online I would assume you’d have to contact the manufacturer and provide proof of purchase.

    You had me sold on this tool but when I clicked on the link in your description and saw it was the same price as a new Milwaukee m12 impact driver I changed my mind 😂

      Refrigeration Mechanic but you wont strip out anything with this one

      The DeWalt is around $60. It fits in a back pocket, bends 90 degrees and uses a wrist twist to activate direction. It's 8 volts and is plenty for most light service work.

      mike logan I have the DeWalt as well, and liked it. The only problem is one of them started working intermittently, and I had to get another one. The gyroscopic action went wonky on it. $150 caused me to go with the DeWalt, but I pulled the trigger and haven’t been disappointed. But in saying that, my other DeWalt hasn’t messed up, but it is in my “emergency, personal truck” MB2 bag.

      Refrigeration Mechanic I buy all my tools that I show on my channel, no affiliation with anyone, but I will say, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in it. Price caused me to hesitate, but I haven’t regretted buying it. Now, if you’re looking to buy an all around driver where size isn’t the issue, they make the 2402-22 set for $179, and I have that one as well. It has a dial to go from clutch to drill, without having to change your torque setting, and it has two speeds (goes up to 1700 rpm), and you can break tough screws loose by turning the drill manually, because it doesn’t slip. If you have tons of M12 batteries, the tool only is $129. The previous Milwaukee driver, which is basically identical to this one, had the battery discontinued. Of course, the new battery is incompatible with the old driver solely because the locking lugs were moved. Thanks Milwaukee.

    A variable speed trigger would’ve made this perfect for my needs. Had to end up going with the 12V Milwaukee fuel screwdriver.

    I have a similar Makita one, its more an impact driver but is light duty enough not to over torque screws in sheet metal etc.

    I've been using the DeWalt gyroscopic screwdriver, which is 8v and turns with the rotation of your wrist (via a gyro). I would still like to give this a shot - I didn't even know they (or the Makita variant) existed before this week! I don't dislike my DeWalt at all (battery typically lasts all day), but I suspect the m4 is lighter weight.
    Thanks for sharing!

      StayAtTheRetreat I’ve got the DeWalt as well, but I do like the Milwaukee out of the 3 the best (yes, I have all 3, the Makita has a higher voltage battery, but doesn’t seem to last as long as the Milwaukee). I had one DeWalt fail on me, it would work intermittently. I believe it was an internal wire issue, my other one didn’t have issues. Weight wise, they’re about the same. If you’re happy with the DeWalt, I wouldn’t change, unless it’s new toy time.

    Between $140-150 for (1battery+1charger). 12v impact cost $169 gen 2 with low torque setting (2/2.0ah battery)Would love to own it but feel like it’s over priced and the impact would come more useful in the long run . If I catch it on sell no doubt buying one.

    I'm hoping they come out with one that uses the Red Lithium USB batteries that are in their rechargeable lights. I believe the battery cell is probably identical, just a smaller form factor. I hate to invest in this and not be able to use the extra batteries I have. But I won't wait too long, this looks handy as hell.

    I just bought the Dewalt DCF680N1 with the gyroscope to replace an older Milwaukee m4 screwdriver with NiCad batteries that was starting to give me problems and I can't find anywhere to buy m4 NiCad batteries. I definitely prefer the Milwaukee m4 screwdriver but the Dewalt saved me $50, so I bought it. I am considering returning it. I am not crazy about the gyroscope feature, though it is ok. I Iike the lights The Milwaukee has definitely all-around better handling, lighter, thinner, and features. Unfortunately, it is never on sale.but not sure $50 in savings is worth it. I also like in the Milwaukee that you can use it as a screwdriver when you are out of battery life which is not a feature in the dewalt. That feature comes in handy when you just want to finish the job;

      I did return the Dewalt Screwdriver. I prefer this Milwaukee. I really wanted to like the Dewalt because I was able to get some discounts. Milwaukee never seems to have discounts. They are expensive. Maybe at Christmas, I will treat myself. This NI cad still works but near its end.

    I saw Metabo HPT also has similar but not really different model with half price in Canada. Are they any different in terms of performance?

    Yeah it's a neat tool. I recently got two of them and was surprised that it has two diffrent chuck size. They both fit the same bits but one looks like the one you got(the same size that's on the box picture) and one looks like a tiny baby version of that. It's weird.

    I've had these since they came out like 6 years ago. I replaced my older style 4v Milwaukee drivers that were a little bigger.
    I wish Milwaukee would redesign the clutch so it only works CW when putting screws in. There is little need for a clutch when removing screws. I sent an message to them regarding this a long long time ago and got a response that they would give the feedback to the engineering team. Guess never did anything about it.
    I did the 2101-22 2 battery combo and got a "tool only" no battery version which is very inexpensive. 2 drivers, 2 batteries and one charger is a nice combo.

      As long as you can get it in the places you need, splash guards especially. You could always add DeWalts 90° attachment in your tool bag to cover that.

    I had the 12 volt screwdriver with that chuck and the hex bit would move back and forethought with the bit in . Does the m4 have any movement in the bit?

    • @tcphvacr9950
      @tcphvacr9950  3 года назад

      No it doesn’t. If the battery doesn’t have enough power to remove or drive, you can turn it manually.

    Great video. Do u think it would be strong enough to allow a step bit drill a 3/8 hole in ductwork for my testo probes ?

      @tcphvacr9950  4 года назад

      Cory Desormeaux I just took a step bit from Harbor Freight that goes up to 1/2”, and I was able to get a nice clean hole with it in sheet metal. I had to reverse it and go back in a couple of times, but it did it. I didn’t think it would due to the big fluting in the bit, but it did.
