A true inspiration. You remind me of a guy who I met in a backpackers hostel in Scotland many years ago. Your living a true adventure. All those wonderful places you visit, it’s what life is all about. I had kids settled down, but hey there all grown up now and in 4 years time, all will be fledglings!! Sooo. As inspiration goes, this for me keeps my dream alive. My recent visit to Isle Mujjerres in Cancun made my eyes open further. What beauty. I love the weed eater outboard, I had a similar one for my dinghy 30 something years ago, weighed nothing, lots of power, and lots of rust.
I got less power but more but it's still good
recommend coating the outboard in cooking oil. prevents rust and it will smell like an egg roll after it heats up.
That sad hope she returns soon , blood is thicker than water and family comes first , oh well stick it out good luck thanks for your vids

Here's a tip for the new outboard. Don't use outboard 2-stroke oil. Use 2-stoke oil meant for air-cooled power equipment, like weed eaters. That's basically what you got...a weed eater with a prop bolted to the end of it. It goes pretty good, though. Better get some ear plugs.

I bought a Chinese hedge cutter with a similar noisy engine 8yrs
ago. Still got it , still runs perfectly. You never know your luck with
Chinese stuff. And also, your emergency FA kit seems fine to me .

Peter, Don;t know if it is at all available in the Rio, but some sort of lanolin stary or oil will keep the rust at bay for a little while longer on those choinese stainless fittings.

Family emergency, it would be hard for Margarida to say when she would be back as who knows how long it will take to get sorted. I can only go from what we see on the vids but you both make a great match. Im sure you have your fights like the rest of us, but i have gut feeling she'll be be back, Until then you be good Pete!

@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM saw an episode of beyond 2000 s long time ago. This dude had used a whippersnipper and put a prop on it, hung it over the stern of a dingy just like the Thai long tail boats.

@Jon Doe existing 2 strokes can be run new manufacture of two strokes is now ceased. I had two stroke motorcycles for years mate and I can assure you there is no difference in the design. more than likely 2 stroke engines are being manufactured in 3rd world countries and china.

It's not funny with different girls anymore and Peter is completely out of his element away from Australia. Now we're just watching an uncomfortable married couple on a semi happy adventure.
