Very educational and informative. The cuisine of Vietnam is streets ahead of irish fodder. How we have survived this long on bacon and cabbage and spuds and butter is beyond me. The engineering aspect of this build is staggering. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Top stuff all round.

I have lived in 18 countries and visited 50, mostly on my sailboat. All the different foods is a good part of the adventure and fun. I am good with languages but I think Vietnamese would be a tough one. Wow. Your boat is really coming along! And yes to the large plates.

Plukky when I was out in my kayak Sunday I helped a salty old sailor who had engine troubles. He needed help with his anchor and I was happy to set it out for him. So I told him to watch your channel, he seemed very interested. Maybe I sent you a new subscriber. Hope so.

Hey Plukky I feel for you if you've looked at the Hurricane Beryl videos with all the cats upside down. Is it useful if you can have a quick way to lie the mast down, and power into the wind with the engine?
Some day I would like a figure on how long this build was in real time. You have so many guys working on this I know it was remarkable. And I don't mean till the interior is completed with all the do dads or the mast is in.

Too funny, when eating out plucky has to bring his own chair. Love to see the boat coming together. It does take grinding, cutting and welding! Shell plate goodness. Amazing what they can do with that English Wheel. Top stuff for sure.

Snails are great, yum, yum yum. I grew up picking the periwinkles off the rocks whenever mom took us to the end of the local beach where the rocks and cliffs were. We’d come home with a coffee can full every time and mom would cook’m and we’d pick those snotty looking morsels out with a toothpick, yum, yum, yum.
Margarita says you need a haircut now that you are a yatch owner.
For those for'd most welds, how about if those very clever guys could make a wand gun with a moderately flexible head and a well protected endoscopic camera to do those seemingly impossible welds. Would be easy to master for those guys. As always Plukk, love the vid and really enjoy being back in an engineering shop again, where the impossible is made possible on a, "Many Times a Day", basis. I just saw a episode of La Vagabonde where they were in some rough seas or as they might say in Sri Lanka, "cruel and vicious water", and the cables were slamming against the inside of the mast keeping them awake all night.
So I was wondering if you had any plans of running pvc tubing on the inside of the mast to prevent that. It seems like that would prevent ware and tangling of the ropes and make it easier to replace lines.
Also, putting in some foam blocks at intervals to keep the pvc from slapping.
Just a thought for the moment, and I can see your positive attitude spreads to others around you, cheers.

Build suggestion Free Dumb :
Cavitating impellers on daggerboards made from cusomized diver drivers .
Remove sea doo factory prop.
Flip unit around and mount to daggers.
Build new plastic dissimilar props in a 3d printer , 4 litch 2 blade and 7 pitch 3 blade welded together IN FRONT !

Snails, escargot, tried it but not keen to be honest. All that aluminium I would be so nervous about corrosion, they use zinc chromate on aircraft which gives the insides that green look but I think its quite toxic. I know you will have to keep the inside of the hull clean and free of debris.

90% of YT's suggestions for me are stupid, old, & irrelevant. I spend most of my time on my subscription feed. If I want a new channel or video series to watch, I'll find it myself. Most days, I simply click down the list of channels with new posts looking for the latest vids from each. Some post daily, some weekly, some less predictably.

I've been trying to avoid the "pee-pole" repetition for the past few video's and figured I'd pop in to see if this is still a thing... I should have just assumed it was an not bothered. Pee-pole, pee-pole, pee-pole... so aggravating I can't get through an episode. I've been here so long now I'm still reluctant to unsub for some reason. I guess it's because still find the content interesting and would like to see where this is all going, but you just seem intent on making it unwatchable despite my asking in every way I know how to try to cut back on the pee-pole this, pee-pole that,,.. it's like talking to that cat. Why bother?
