'18 COPO ; Q1 Super Stock ; "Baby Gatornationals" 29 Feb. 2024

Q1 ..I'm running FSS / B in Super Stock. 86 competitors from all over for this NHRA Div. 2 Regional Championship. I ended up qualifying with the 4th fastest time after the two qualifying sessions! I behind two other David Barton prepared COPO's (8.09 & 8.18) ...and a Cobalt @ 8.45 .....and me at 8.46 ET...with a bone stock COPO (with a Whipple 'flame thrower' supercharger instead of the superior Magnescen's). I was 1.435 secs under the NHRA index for FSS/B. On this pass I had a fair 60' (1.27 ; the car has done a 1.19 and usually low 1.20's)...130 mph at the 1/8th....and ended up with a 8.46 @ 160.29 mph. She was trucking and making a lot of power because this was the first time in over 150 passes that it spun in second and third gear shifts !!! Weather was great which helped ...65'...61% humidity...DA 581 ft. ...good air and conditions for the second fastest PR (best ET is 8.44).
